Note: It’s finished! I really enjoyed writing this, and I hope you like the results! I’m sorry I didn’t include a Harry Potter character, it’s just that as much as I love those characters I find I prefer to write just for LOTR and TH (at least for now)

You were introduce to Thorin by Gandalf and joined the company in Baggend

Thorin couldn’t help but be enchanted by you, and he often finds himself looking your way during the quest

You were gorgeous. Quite different from what he heard were the usual ‘beauty-standards’ for humans, but if anything it just made you even more beautiful

He tried to tell himself that he didn’t have feelings for you, that he just thought you were pretty, and that he should focus on the quest, but when he saw you go to a more secluded place of the make-shift camp to sit on your own after laughing with the rest of the company he got worried, so he went to check on you

You told him about your sensory issues, and that although you love to talk with the other members of the company, you sometimes just need a moment to unwind. He asked if you wanted him to leave but you told him it was alright for him to stay

The two of you started to chat, and when you told him you wanted to become a blacksmith he told you about when he used to work as a blacksmith and that if you ever wanted a job in Erebor after it was reclaimed, he would arrange it. Thorin is also fascinated by your love for culture, history and art, and, were it not for the fact that dwarves don’t share  things about their culture with others, he would’ve told you all there is to know about his culture, if only so he could see that spark in your eyes you get whenever you’re learning something new

After Erebor is reclaimed Thorin confesses his feelings for you and the two of you finally start courting

Thorin loves you to pieces. You are his one and you mean everything to him. He already gave you a lot of gifts (as this is part of dwarvish courting customs) but when he realizes you love collecting things he gives you even more. He always crafts you the most beautiful daggers and knifes, and he gives you jewelry made out of the most beautiful gems in the mountain. Whenever he comes across a book or antique he things you will like he gets it for you

Honestly you’re gonna have to tell him to stop, or to at least buy less gifts, because at this rate there will be no more space in your room to walk

Thorin is glad you’re more of an action-over-words person like him, as he himself isn’t very good with words either

He admires your effort in personal growth, and he’s glad you have your sense of self-worth, for he would hate for you to not be happy with yourself. That doesn’t mean however that he isn’t going to remind you how lovely you look and how amazing you are every chance he gets. To Thorin you are the most beautiful and perfect being to ever exist and he worships the ground you walk on

Thorin is always gonna be there for you, whether that be by helping you overcome your trauma, holding your hand and calming you down when your anxiety and sensory issues are acting up or simply by holding you close while he tells you how much he loves you

Lord of the rings

During the journey to Mordor the two of you become very close to each other, even closer than with the other members of the fellowship

The two of you often take watch together, talking about your favorite pieces of classical literature, sharing things about each others culture and mythology and about your dreams and wishes for the future. When you tell him you want to become an anthropolist he chuckles, finding the idea of humans studying other humans amusing, but he quickly finds himself wanting to know more, loving the way you explained things to him

After the ring was destroyed and Aragorn crowned king, Legolas and you traveled to greenwood, as you didn’t want to be separated yet and you didn’t have another place to go

When you arrive he immediately takes you to the library, showing you all the sections with history, literature, mythology and elvish culture books, and he all but happily shoves some of his favorite story books in your face to read

You spend the whole day in the library reading, joking, talking and laughing

After a while of reading Legolas looks up from his book and lets his eyes drift over to your form sitting next to him. You look so different from all the elleths he’s so accustomed to, and it feels like a breath of fresh air to him. And in the light of the setting sun, as your eyes flit across the page you’re reading, you look so peaceful, so... utterly beautiful

That is when he realizes he loves you, and he wastes no time in telling you

Unlike you, Legolas loves to tell you how much he loves you (don’t worry, he also definitely shows you), serenading you with poems and whole paragraphs about how much you mean to him (but he never does it in an annoying way that is overbearing). He loves how blunt and straight-forward you are though, it makes him feel flustered and the tips of his ears will turn red

Legolas isn’t much of an artsy person himself, but he loves to watch you do your thing. A lot of your evenings are spend with him holding you close while you read some of your own work to him. He enjoys listening to your stories, and he loves your voice. It soothes him and he has fallen asleep like this more than once

Mirkwood is known for it’s grand parties, and Legolas would be over the moon if you went with him. He always makes sure you’re comfortable and are having fun, and if your anxiety or sensory issues start to act up he will carefully take your hand and lead you to the more private balconies so you can catch your breath, asking if there’s anything he can do to help you

Legolas actually quite likes your stubborn side, and he finds your clumsiness adorable, but he also admires the effort you put into self-growth

If you ever want to talk about your trauma and how it might effect your relationship he’s gonna drop everything he’s doing and turn all of his attention to you. He’s going to listen to you and put in all the effort necessary to make you feel happy and comfortable. He loves you so much and he wants this relationship to work for the both of you

Legolas is such a gentle lover, and he never fails to remind you how much you are loved
