seeing you discuss stardew partners has just reaffirmed to me that you have such immaculate and valid opinions and im a little a lot in love with you!! as a harvey girlie myself, seeing him being compared to remus has me REELING because now it all makes sense!! so glad someone else treats stardew like a dating simulator it is bc the farming aspects of it all stresses me out tbh! hope you have a lovely day (and valentine's day if you celebrate) :)

a harvey girlie!!! now that is Taste! he truly is up there as one of my absolute favs (along with krobus) <3 and i feel u: farming gets soo stressful. i love it during the first few seasons, when all you have is a little patch of veggies out front, maybe just some parsnips, cauliflower, beans, and a few other fun things; i love that! but when ur waking up every morning and speeding around the farm to collect hundreds of veges, preserves, wine, cheese, mayo, and truffle oil..... ough. it's a Lot ! so i opt out and go on dates instead <3

sidenote! i recently tried the sdv expanded mod for the first time and omg?????????? so many new npcs to date !! a new town !!! i lost my gd mind <3

#sideSIDEnote i recently read a fantastic essay about neoliberalism and games #and it discussed stardew saying that while the narrative posits the game as environmentalist + anti-consumerist + anti-capitalist #its undercut by the gameplay which encourages maximizing time and productivity for maximum profit (leaning into neoliberal thought)#i've seen a lot of ppl echo these sentiments before but i haven't heard an argument quite as compelling as this one !!#anywho. it helped me understand some aspects of the game that i maybe don't gel with so much #and like it's is my favourite game of all time !! but that doesn't mean it's exempt from critique <3 #pigeon post
