Hold on what does Dean say?

i'm assuming it's about the slur thing in 2x11. he says:

"Dude, this is sweet. I never get to work jobs like this. Old school haunted houses, you know? Fog, and secret passageways... sissy British accents. Might even run into Fred and Daphne while we're inside. Mm Daphne, love her."

which... like he's going all nerdy over the Oscar Wilde's energy which became a homophobic trope / heavy queer coding.

then the Daphne thing, which is so funny bc he did say Fred first, right. why even mention Fred & Daphne when they are not the main characters (puts in parallel with scoobynatural it's even more about Dean having a crush on Fred). and then 5min later you have Sam calling him out on "overcompensating" which gives a new meaning to this dialogue, he was overcompensating by playing out the hetero act.

my fav bit in this episode/dialogues is how Dean goes "why people assume WE are gay" to which Sam only replies by focusing on Dean looking gay. everytime they're called antiquers in the ep, the characters and the camera are specifically looking at Dean.
