Ayyyy playlist tag game!!!! Gimme a couple songs from #16 and #57 plz <3
~@tabswrites
ask me about my playlists
the stars we wander, the hands we're dealt is uhhhh the second? i think the second castis/avitus mix i've made for @thetrashbagswasteland, who is entirely to blame for this ship even existing. different than the first, this is aimed less at the hatefucking and more at the sad old men they've become, settled into something like domesticity, or as close to it as avitus can manage. neither particularly wants to admit (to themselves or anyone else) what they are, fearful that saying it out loud might make it real, might mean something more than "roommates out of necessity, benefits out of convenience." it means avitus having to confront that people might actually care if he dies, and that maybe... just maybe, he doesn't want to die in a blaze of glory. that maybe he might want to ride this thing out, see where it goes. that retiring from living hard and fast, that learning to be a person again and not just a tool or a weapon, that holding still might not be so bad after all. oops i. made myself emotional--
anyway here's some of my faves on this playlist (it's actually one of my favorites i've ever made):
the cattle by zach palmer [youtube]
longshot by catfish and the bottlemen [youtube]
bugfood by alissic [youtube]
the boy who cried wolf is actually the playlist for act i of stellar parallax! the songs are supposed to follow along with the chapters!
here's my faves and the passages they go with:
brutus by the buttress [youtube]
Jane knocked the wind from his lungs before he could draw another breath. Her eyes weren’t cold anymore. She fought like a hellcat. Like her life was on the line. How hard had it really been planetside? I have been starving and squatting in an abandoned building for the past three years.
Her fist connected with his jaw and the world went fuzzy. The ground defied gravity, rising to meet him with gusto. His shoulder screamed where it connected with the thin mat. John’s grin was lopsided as he wiped the blood from his mouth. He pitied the pirate that ever ended up in her sights. “Shit, Jane,” he chuffed. “You’re good.”
Jane didn’t return his smile. “No, John.” She spat his name over her shoulder like a curse. “I’m just better.”
where is my mind by safari riot (cover of the pixies) [youtube]
Jane was floating.Â
Stiff-backed. Limbs dangling uselessly beside and below her like some invisible force had yanked her right off the ground by a string tied to her ribcage. Jaw wrenched open in a silent scream. And her eyes—
Rolled all the way back, as if whatever that beacon was wanted her to see what it was doing to her brain, forced her to see it.Â
John lunged for her, but thick, armored arms wrapped around his trunk, the same ones that pushed him away from Jenkins. That let Arterius doom the poor kid’s family to a closed-casket funeral. We can’t risk it, Nihlus had said. Do you want him to become one of those things? Do you think you could put him down? Â
But this time the Brawler was pointed at Jane, and Jane was still alive, she just needed help, she needed someone to knock her loose with a stick like the manuals all said to do with a person being electrocuted. John struggled harder against Nihlus, kicked, punched, spat, cursed — then went still as Jane’s head turned all the way around to face them.Â
And shrieked. Not the scream he expected either, no, what came out of his sister was hundreds, thousands of voices screaming, sobbing, begging, praying all at once. Its volume grew and morphed into a bellow that seized hold of his mind and squeezed and squeezed and squeezed —
Jane dropped to the ground like a ragdoll, and he jolted awake in the Normandy’s medbay.Â
into dust by mazzy star [youtube]
Saren had offered to help. There were two shovels, after all, and they were both biotic.
Jane grabbed one, then shut the shed. “I need to do this,” she muttered, and started digging.
Dark clouds rolled across the sky.
Once she’d broken through the grass, it wasn’t so bad; the ground was soft and the work was repetitive and Eden Prime was quiet, so quiet now that most of its population was gone.
“It’s going to rain,” Saren said, shortly before the first drop landed on Jane’s nose.
“The porch is covered,” she told him, and kept digging.
All at once, the sky opened up. Somewhere in the downpour, she could hear Saren swearing, dragging the cloth-wrapped body onto the covered porch. Jane took a deep breath.
Focused on digging.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Thud. Exhale.
She’d barely made progress before the first aches settled into her shoulders and back. It was 2183. She didn’t have to do this. Holes could be dug with machines, with lasers, with bots.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Thud. Exhale.
Machines, lasers, and bots had certainly made the body that would fill this one.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Thud. Exhale.
But so had her own negligence. All the bodies littering Eden Prime weighed down her shoulders, adding to the pain spreading down her arms and legs.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Thud. Exhale.
She didn’t have to do this, but she needed to.
The corporal didn't have any family left that would bury him. There wouldn't be a wake, a funeral, an awkward standing-around of relatives who could barely stand each other, picking at the potluck fare for however long seemed appropriate so their departure wouldn't look like an escape. He had no cousins, no uncles, no brothers, no father to carry his expensive wooden box to the hole a machine had dug. He had no friends left. Sandra couldn’t dig him a hole — didn’t need to, not after what she’d seen. John and Kaidan were several systems away.
Maybe you’ve got Anderson and your parents and the Smiths and the Harrises, some smaller, more vicious thing spat in her memory, but all I’m stuck with is you.
Jenkins just had Jane, pulling his dead weight over her back to transport him from the porch to his final resting place. The storm raged on, softened the ground even more. It sucked her into the muck with every step and caked onto her armor up to her knees. She lost her boots somewhere along the way.
Maybe she should have left Powell alive.
Saren had offered to help.
Maybe she should have accepted it.
I’m sorry , she’d mouthed seconds before machines dug a hole straight through the corporal. He might have accepted it, had he still been around to. She wouldn't forgive herself, though, even after all this.
It didn’t feel right to just dump him in, and the ground seemed to agree, crumbling beneath her feet and dumping her into the hole instead. There was a metaphor in there somewhere: lying in a grave she’d dug with her own hands, beneath the soldier who’d be alive if not for her.
She belonged there.
“We have work to do, Jane,” Saren reminded her.
He was right. Jane struggled out from under the corporal’s corpse, arranged him like a funeral home might, and made her ungraceful exit from the grave. She was more mud than Marine at that point, but there was work to do. She picked up her shovel.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Plap. Exhale.
She could mourn this man she’d barely known later, after she’d hunted down the bastard who sent his machines to Eden Prime.
Thunk. Swish. Inhale. Swish. Plap. Exhale.
Burying Jenkins was harder than digging the hole; it took seven attempts to convince herself that it was okay to throw dirt on his face — she was returning him to his mother, that was the reason that finally stuck. She was returning him to his mother, and he would help her garden grow.
When she was done, Saren sprayed her down with the half-rotted hosepipe he’d found coiled against the side of the prefab. It didn’t matter if she was wet, he told her, it was raining anyway. Water would dry. The blood on her hands wouldn’t, but the water would.
That was okay, too, he told her, albeit in much prettier words. He and his ship were both stained far deeper than anyone ever should be.

to the ends of the earth: a jolly roger playlist
( @captainjamesjoneshook )
ok i'm doing descriptions bc this follows a journey the journey of their friendship and life <3
oxford comma by vampire weekend
Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma? I've seen those English dramas too, they're cruel So if there's any other way To spell the word, it's fine with me, with me
Why would you speak to me that way? Especially when I always said that I Haven't got the words for you All your diction drippin' with disdain Through the pain, I always tell the truth
this song is all about them getting disillusioned with their fancy school and ultimately deciding to drop out! this is the world james was raised in and expected to inhabit, while smee was always told that it was his key to success. but they hate the pretension and the polite manners and being told what to do. who gives a fuck about an oxford comma, they say!
2. ends of the earth by lord huron
Out there's a land that time don't command Wanna be the first to arrive No time for ponderin' why I'm-a wanderin' Not while we're both still alive
To the ends of the earth, would you follow me? There's a world that was meant for our eyes to see To the ends of the earth, would you follow me? Well if you won't, I must say my goodbyes to thee
this is the ANTHEM! idc if he says "girl" later in the song i'm ignoring that. that's what it's all about running away and seeing the world.
3. born to run by bruce springsteen
Oh, baby this town rips the bones from your back It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap We gotta get out while we're young 'Cause tramps like us, baby, we were born to run
ok i do think it's kind of hilarious that this song is about a wendy. anyway i think this song is about having something deep in ur soul that is just telling you that you have to get OUT OF THIS TOWN!! like there's this part of you that you just cannot change no matter how hard you try. i think hook and smee never quite fit in at school because they just had this sense of adventure in them and they needed to get out. and that's how they became besties.
4. he's a pirate from the pirates of the carribean soundtrack
DUN DUN DUH NUH NUN NUN DUH NUH NUH NUN DUNANUNUNA! DUNANUNUNUNUNUN! DUNANUNUN! DANANUN!
you get the idea. they're PIRATES!
5. old pine by ben howard
Oh, hot sand on toes, cold sand in sleeping bags I've come to know the friends around you Are all you'll always have Smoke in my lungs, or the echoed stone Careless and young, free as the birds that fly With weightless souls now
this song is so ADVENTURE. camping. sleeping under the stars. on a pirate ship. i think it captures why they loved their pirate adventures so much, just pure freedom.
6. warm glow by hippo campus
The rose-set road will bend around The earth you knew is waiting for you, dear Some wave-swept gold drips from your mouth The hazel hounds move south To meet you here Sky gone a certain shade of blue The kind that heaven's fixin' up for you Boy, that sure-fire desire is true Raw hands heart-beating to the smoky view
i picked this song for just the beautiful descriptions of like nature and the sky and stuff. and i think it's a good transition into the songs about living in swynlake and being a family and stuff. idk if i have too much of a description for this one it's just a vibe.
7. appaloosa bones by gregory alan isakov
Was it the voice I've known Or your Appaloosa bones That carried me home across the plains? It's like you say all the time, "World has lost its mind" Between you and I, I know that I've lost mine
Was I that gone? Man, I hope not Glad you found me when you did
to me this song is for smee stepping in to help raise james ii after avani died, picking up the pieces together and getting through grief and building a beautiful life <3
8. a pirate looks at 40 by jimmy buffett
Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred years too late The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder I'm an over-forty victim of fate Arriving too late, arriving too late
I've done a bit of smugglin', and I've run my share of grass I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast Never meant to last, never meant to last
this song to me is about reflecting on your life and how you never really """made something of yourself""" and mostly screwed around on a boat and drank too much and now you're having a midlife crisis. and jimmy uses "pirate" as a metaphor here and that's real life for the jolly roger but i really think it works for like the two of them reflecting on their lives and what they've accomplished, even if it's very different from what people expected of them when they were in school. and ultimately it's about the ~~call of the sea
9. hudson by vampire weekend
Hudson died in Hudson Bay The water took its victim's name The river's rise told Riverside to change their names again
this is just about how it's kind of poetic to die by the thing you dedicated your life to. hook spent the latter half of his life chasing down this crocodile and... yeah. :(
10. murder in the city by the avett brothers
If I get murdered in the city Go read the letter in my desk Don't bother with all my belongings But pay attention to the list
Make sure my sister knows I loved her Make sure my mother knows the same Always remember there was nothing worth sharing Like the love that let us share our name
not enough songs about brothers out there fr. the actual lyrics are not super applicable tbh but to me this song is all about like asking another person to be your legacy and to carry on what you started. and who better to do it than your brother, the person who knows you better than anyone else, the person who's sort of an extension of you in a way? and none of those old petty disagreements even matter anymore, what matters is the love. blood doesn't matter to these two, they will always be family <3

Cardin: Ah, the sea...
Sun: Aye, the sea.
Ren: Makes you glad to be a live!
Jaune: I think that ship is following us.
Sun: Feel that salty spray...
Ren: The sunlight sparkling off the bay!
Cardin: What a glorious seafaring day!
Jaune: It's a pirate ship! We have to outrun her! Alright, men! Are you with me?
Cardin: Oh! A whale!
Sun: Huh?
Ren: Where?
Jaune: They're getting closer! Skull Crusher Cardin, hoist the top sail!
Cardin: Is that a right whale?
Sun: No, no, no! That's not a right whale!
Jaune: They're boarding us! Crew! Help me out here!
Ren: It is a member of the sub-order mystashetti.
Cardin: I think you're right!
Cinder: Well, well...
Jaune: Cinder! So you've been following us! What do you want, Cinder, other than a good eyepatch?
Cinder: I've come for the map to Hell's Reef, so I can claim the treasures of that island you mentioned. A nice feather in my cap, wouldn't you say?
Ren: Look! It's breaching!
Cardin: Ooh!
Sun: Ah!
Jaune: Look, Cyclops, I can't let you take that map. I need it to save Weiss!
Cinder: Then I will take it by force.
Ren: That whale must be 35.12 meters!
Cardin: Well over a hundred feet long.
Sun: And weigh 200 metric tons!
Cinder: I'm sure you already know, Arc, that in a pirate battle, wit always triumphs over might.
Jaune: Of course I know that, One-Eye! Let's get this over with.
Cinder: Every enemy I've annihilated!
Jaune: Oh, yeah? Well, you fight like a cow!
Cinder: No, no, no. That's not right. We do things differently on the sea. All your insults and threats have to rhyme! So, when I say, "All my enemies have been annihilated," you say...
Jaune: Uh, I once found armor that was silver-plated?
Cinder: No! You say, "Breathe your last, for you'll be perforated!" Let's try again.
Jaune: You're on!
Cinder: You're as repulsive as a monkey in a negligee!
Jaune: Uh...
Cinder: (Knocks his sword away) The map. Now.
Jaune: Fine, here. (Pulls it out)
Cinder: You keep it in your chest plate?
Jaune: It's less likely to be stolen that way.
Cinder: ...Whatever. (Turns away) Once I'm done pirating these waters, I'm off to Hell's Reef. Until we meet again, Arc.
Jaune: Thanks, guys! You were a world of help back there!
Ren: It was a rousing battle, Captain.
Cardin: Aye, and it reminds me of a song!
Cardin: We're a vicious band of pirates~!
Sun: A-sailin' out to sea~!
Ren: Once you see our sails~!
Sun: You'll be sure to turn and flee~!
SRC: A pirate I was meant to be~! Trim the sails and roam the sea~!
Jaune: Oh, this is just ridiculous... Come on, men! We've got to recover that map!
Ren: That Cinder will be finished when she falls into our trap~!
Cardin: We're a cloutful troop of rovers~!
Sun: Who can sing in any clef~!
Ren: We can even hit the high notes~!
Sun: It's a shame we're tone-deaf~!
SRC: A pirate I was meant to be~! Trim the sails and roam the sea~!
Jaune: Alright, crew! Enough shanties! Let's get to work!
Ren: A hard day of labor that we'll surely never shirk~!
Cardin: We'll fight you in the harbor~!
Sun: We'll even fight you on your land~!
Ren: When you meet singing pirates~!
Jaune: They'll be more than you can stand.
Sun: Oh! That was a good one!
Jaune: No, it wasn't. Just stop, stop, stop!
Ren: The brass we will polish, and the deck we will mop~!
Jaune: You say you're heartless buccaneers, some thieving bush-whackers, but I don't see pirates, all I see are a bunch of lazy slackers~!
SRC: A pirate I was meant to be~! Trim the sails and roam the sea~!
Jaune: Hmph. We'll surely avoid scurvy with lemons and oranges~.
Cardin: And... uh...
Sun: Hm.
Ren: Door-hinge?
Cardin: No, that won't work.
Sun: I guess it's back to work then.
Jaune: Gee... Now I just feel bad.
Emerald: (Knocks, Enters) Ma'am, we're ready to set sail to... Captain Fall, what are you doing?
Cinder: (Face centimeters away from the stolen map) Uh... (Pulls it away) It's difficult to read in this light, you know!
Emerald: It looked like you were sniff-
Cinder: W-Well, I wasn't! Now, what is so important to interrupt my fanta- I mean reading!

Thanks for providing a break from The Thing TM @ruledbyproblematique
Last song: 'A Hundred Million Berry' from the One Piece OST. For reasons. 'My Sails Are Set,' also, same reasons.
Favourite colour: Light phtalo turqouise blue. It is a bright, summery, sea-side blue that is so in the middle between blue and green its hard to call it either. If you're wondering what shade on god's good earth that is, then take a look at my art and you'll see me abuse that manganese shade (though the camera hates it, because its so close to non-photo blue). It's the shade of Euron's summer eye, and Buggy's blue lookers, too. It's absolutely part of how those two got such a stranglehold on my psychi. BOYS WITH BLUE EYES.
Last movie/TV show: One Piece, I've been re-watching OPLA as well as sections of the Anime. I am planning on watching Fall of the House of Usher but I haven't gotten to it. Because, well, gdamn pirates.
Sweet/spice/savoury: I wish I could eat spicy food but my abdominal organs act as if they mean to extract themselves from my mortal coil when I do. I have bouts of sweet eating but I am perfectly capable of resisting it. I am much more weak to savoury things.
Relationship status: commited to my better half, who just rolls along with my waves of nonesense like a world class surfer. Beta reads my bullshit like an absolute champ.
Last thing I Googled: Double-checking if the word 'cologne' actually exists in the English language and means what I intend it to mean. Yea, I am still working on The Thing TM.
Current obsession: No thinking, only horrible pirate loving. I wonder if that line is ever not going to be on point? If you mean right right now, then it is of course writing this absolutely unwarranted piece of smut for Shivs and Crocodile. And, by extension, just One Piece in general and obsessing over the darn clown. Euron's feeling vaguely neglected rn but babe, I've been obsessing over your questionable ass for years. You can handle not being the sole focus of my creative life for like, a few days.
Tags: @smut-goblin @flunkyofmalcador @nightshade-victorian @wolffyluna @leadflowers @neshtasplace @lurks-no-more @lonewolf574 @swirlsofblackandwhite @forestteacup
Sobs. The line up is missing one of my closest and oldest friends from here but I think they changed URL and I am so bad with remembering. Your art is always gracing my Dash but of course now I can't find it. I am so sorry.
Nine people I'd like to get to know better
Tagged by @meghawhopp <33
Last song: Down by the River by Borislav Slavov from the Baldur’s Gate 3 Soundtrack (or more specifically the cover of Down by the River by Nerissa Ravencroft)
Favorite color: Blue and purple!
Last movie/TV show: Seinfeld, I’m currently on season four!
Sweet/spicy/savory?: I have a huge sweet tooth, so sweet things
Relationship status: Single
Last thing I googled: I searched up the show “Arthur” because I was trying to find that one meme where Buster was like “You really think someone would do that, just go on the internet and spread lies?”
Current obsession: Fragaria memories and tears of themis mostly^^

Getting To Know You Meme!
Thanks for the tag, @buthappysoverrated <3
Rules: tag a few people you want to know better; make a new post, don't reblog!
Favorite Color:
Hmmm. . .a dark grass green, probably. I associate it with some happy memories.
Currently Reading:
I've embarked on my annual re-read of The Once and Future King so that I can cry over Wart. I also just finished Iron Widow, which ruled so fucking much.
Last Song:
When We Were Young - Adele
(This is because writing, I swear)
Last Movie:
Pirated Spider-Man: No Way Home the other day. Would give it a solid 3/5, most of which is earned by Andrew Garfield and the MCU remembering that Rule #1 of writing Spider-Man is that Peter Parker Must Suffer.
Last Series:
I just finished binging Our Flag Means Death—which means I'm probably about to finally watch Black Sails.
Sweet, Savory, or Spicy:
Sweet!
Coffee or Tea:
Tea, with enough milk and sugar to barely qualify.
Three Ships:
1. Jim Kirk/Spock, because those sixties housewives were onto something with that particular slowburn.
2. Nandor the Relentless/Guillermo de la Cruz from WWDITS, because I think vampire having a midlife crisis/unhinged vampire slayer is peak romance.
3. Enjolras/Grantaire from Les Miserables, because I will never emotionally be the same after Permets-tu?
First Ever Ship:
Kirk/Spock, TOS flavor. I didn't think the end of The Tholian Incident was gay enough, I stumbled onto fanfiction, and the rest was history.
Currently Working On:
Drafting the next installment in the Magician!Percy Jackson 'verse, while trying really, really hard not to get distracted by other budding PJO/HoO AUs (I need them to go away. I am begging them to go away and wait their turn).
Favorite Piece of Clothing:
I got a green and white rugby shirt for my birthday that induces gender euphoria like no one's business.
Comfort Food:
Pesto. Add in extra garlic and I'll eat a gallon of the stuff.
Favorite Time Of Year:
Early spring, when the snow hasn't entirely melted yet, but the sunlight feels warm again and you can see the tiny crocuses begin to bud. First snowfall in autumn is 1A.
Fave Fanfic:
Okay. Uh. Fuck. I have read so much fic (I have nearly a thousand AO3 bookmarks), so we're gonna pick my current Riordanverse fave, the series the grace of the gods is a grace that comes by violence is an insanely good trilogy of character study works, including a post-TOA Apollo and role-swapped gods (and demigods).
Also, the K/S brainrot is eternal, so I also gotta rec another I read semi-recently, Somebody To Die For. This one's incomplete, fair warning, but it's still a really good take on the AOS!Mirrorverse and how that twists the characters, pretty Kirk-and-Spock-centric, only with roughly two hundred percent more murder and planned regicide.
No-pressure tagging: @evergardenwall , @fractal-baby , @thein273 , @foxyatlas , and anyone else who sees this, feel free to join in!

heyo! so i followed you on tik tok (i'm cam__kenobi) and i've listened to gvf in passing but i'm not their biggest fan but,,,bestie,,,,ya wore me down
what songs would you reccomend? i'll go head first
omg BESTIE ❤️❤️❤️ i love this so much ok ok ok hold on
they have three albums, so i'll give you my top three from each album. these aren't necessarily their “biggest hits” but they're my favorites, and i think they'll give you a good introduction to what they're all about musically. (i apologize in advance if i'm rambling through this ask, as i'm sure i will be.)
from from the fires:
“safari song” - probably their best known song. oh mama. amen.
“flower power” - THEE hippie love song. “we are the morning birds who sing against the sky” are you KIDDING ME???
“talk on the street” - honestly very underrated. great dancing tune.
from anthem of the peaceful army:
“age of man” - lowkey probably one of their very best songs. josh's vocals are incredible. the live version from their show at red rocks is even better than the studio version.
“the new day” - my absolute top favorite of all their songs. sunshine in music form.
“mountain of the sun” - jake's guitar tone on this one is SO GOOD. it's different from any of their other songs. kinda bluesy. also has very nice hippie love song elements.
bonus: “anthem” - one of their more mellow songs, and the boys singing together at the end makes me emotional :')
from the battle at garden's gate:
“heat above” - universally a magical experience for gvf fans no matter how many times they've listened to it. hearing it live and singing it with hundreds of other fans was the defining moment of my life.
“light my love” - THIS IS WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT BABEY!!!! this song sparks something in me that i can't quite describe. i feel like crying every time i hear it, but in a good way. i want them to do an acoustic version of it so i can walk down the aisle to it at my wedding, that's how much i love it.
“trip the light fantastic” - freaking BANGER tune. goes so hard. all the boys are on point in this song.
bonus: “caravel” - cool, sleek, modern, sexy, all of it. makes you want to be a swashbuckling pirate who's in love with some dastardly rogue.
ok, so i gave you a little more than three for each album. it was hard enough to keep from saying “every song is my favorite” because it's true ;) but those are my top picks! i have to say i'm very pleased to have worn you down, bestie. you know i'm always game to gush about these four goofy boys and their music any time you get a hankering to talk about them ❤️
#the way this made my heart go !!!!!!#ily cam you're so cute and i'm so glad you're getting into gvf!!!#❤️❤️❤️#cam#maddie talks to friends!

THAT'S A HARD QUESTION (AND THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT)
magnificently cursed is definitely up there, but I'm also abnormally attached to "time curious time gave me no compasses gave me no signs" and "but you squeeze my hand as I'm about to leave" and "they told me all of my cages were mental" and "I've got a hundred thrown out speeches I almost said to you" and "my words shoot to kill when I'm mad" and "I'll be summer sun for you forever" and "I think you should come live with me and we can be pirates" and "did the love affair maim you too?" and "I don't like slow motion double vision in a rose blush" and "you and me forevermore" and "I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you" and and and and and
but I think it's the magnificently cursed one, it feels very close to me somehow even tho the song itself isn't? i'm more renegade or dorothea or forever winter or that one particular flavour of this is me trying but this lyrics embodies something personal I guess.
How about you? Feel free to go nuts like me and mention more than a singular lyric.
ivy!!! <3
quite possibly my favourite lyrics on the album (along with in the cracks of light, I dreamed of you):
I wish to know the fatal flaw that makes you long to be magnificently cursed
It's a call out. I feel it in my bones. Ivy is... truly something else.

hard agree omg i was even thinking about this too. i pay for Pandora because like. the alternative is hunting down & purchasing hundreds of albums for just a song or two from each. or even if I pirated it, like, that's still a massive time and effort sink.
it also helps me expand my music tastes. new artist I've never heard of? bam. i got all their music right now, and if I don't like them, i didn't have to spend $15+ to find it out.
also like? older music? less popular genres? rare music? yeah let me just slip into my local CD shop for a zydeco CD. I'm sure they'll have that. I'm sure they'll have a huge variety.
Been thinking about that Spotify post where that guy gets dizzy thinking about spending $9.99 a month, and I'm just like... It's way better than spending $1.99 PER SONG, or $10 an album!
Like even if you rip the CD's and store them on your phone to keep, that's still way more money than $9.99/month.
