Pride Petty Watch - LiTA (Rain/Payu) 1

Because I'm petty, I had the crowd pick which blacklisted shows I would watch for the month of Pride. I had planned to space them out more, but due to wacky weather over here (tornadoes, thunderstorms, softball-sized hail, and flash flooding), I had plenty of time to binge watch the first show, Love in the Air, which perfectly aligns with my real life theme of stormy weather, so I'm posting my random thoughts in five parts, two for each couple and the special episode.

I'm seated, I'm watching, and I'm being petty.

It starts at "2:00 AM" - Oh no. Nothing could happens at 2 in the morning, and the time just keeps going. This event isn't even going to begin until 3 AM?! Take me home, NOW! I don't care how fine these men are. I'm stopping for mini churros at Jack in the Box on the way home and going to bed. I'M OUT!

I've seen plenty of pictures of Boss in the past two years, but I still lost my breath a bit when he took off his mask because he was looking delicious in the rain.

RAIN WANTS A GIRL?!

Out of everything I saw about this show, NOBODY mentioned that Rain was trying to get a girl. I'm shook. That's a huge part of the plot I never saw mentioned. There were rumors of the actor (Noeul) being with Milk (of MilkLove), and I saw more of THAT in connection to this show than about him liking a girl within it. Where are y'alls priorities?! *looks at Tonnam and breathes deeply*

Payu's room is IN the garage? But what about the fumes? What about the noise? What about a good work/life balance?!

I don't care if this boy is snuggling in his sleep, Payu is on my shit list! Instead of being like "oh, I misunderstood the signals," he pushed harder then got upset. Even if Rain secretly does want him, I need a verbalization. This is the end of the first episode, and I'm mad as hell at a bisexual on the first day of Pride. Damn.

Start of episode two and I know Rain's voiceovers are there to make me not be upset at Payu, but . . . I'm pissed at this man! He did all of that work, said it was free, but now there is "another" charge, then he shows up at this boy's school when he could've just talked to him at the shop, and feels him up in the bathroom stall. I am BIG mad!

I will admit, this is hot. Still very mad at my fellow bisexual for him saying he wasn't trying to force himself on Rain (even though he was about to mark a map on that boy's neck), but they got chemistry.

My fellow Slut for Christ, only God can judge you, but know that I am too.

All racetracks look the same so Pit Babe and Cutie Pie could have been filmed here for all I know, but I have this at 1.5 speed, unmuted, so I hear this is a legit hype rap song. WEARETHEGOOD's "Threat" with these colors?! Energy? Matched.

I don't kink shame but both people should be willing participants in this endeavor. Then just to drop him on the floor like that?! That does not inspire trust! This is not Blue Boy behavior, sir! I would've let him turn it in, but I appreciate that he looks so good while looking so sad with that warm glow.

Payu gets one positive point for leaving his arms open for Rain to come to him, but now that warm glow feels sus like maybe I should be paying more attention to Rain's yellow/orange backpack.

And now for a negative point because even though I keep seeing black x white, Payu stays morally grey by playing with this boy's emotions and hiding from him in his own shop! These after scenes are not doing Payu any favors.

Payu, do I like you? Do I hate you? Do I wanna fuck you? Do I wanna kick you in the balls? All of the above?

Guess I'll find out in the next three episodes.

Better late than never...

With all the delays in bringing internet to the new place I’m only getting around to this weeks after it’s been and gone for everyone else, but thank you @sunshine304 for tagging me, always nice to get to know people better :)

Wangxian are clearly going to be top here, very little I can do about that really, and I don't think they're exactly news to anyone following this blog...

So outside of them, and assuming that shipping means I have spent a lot of time actively seeking out fan content for a pairing, my next three ships would be:

TodoDeku- Todoroki Shoto/Izuku Midoriya -BNHA (My Hero Academia) – I've dropped off with the manga/anime and fandom, and I'm essentially waiting to see how Horikoshi wraps this up before I commit to picking it up again but darn it I do really enjoy this pairing. They can be so good for each other! They're two people messed up in quite different ways who still manage to bring some good into the world out of that! One of them sets on fire and the other one is annoyingly OP but still his mind and his heart are two of the most dangerous things about him!! Sue me :P

25th Bam/Khun Aguero Agnis – Tower of God – So what did you do during lockdown Scribbet? Well I decided it was definitely the time to go and spend literal weeks reading the entire backlog of an infamously long and convoluted Webtoon, and then read hundreds of thousands of words of fan fiction about the potentially world-destroying (sort of) sunshine boy of an unwitting catalyst and the scheming, wickedly intelligent, single-mindedly loyal manipulator who became his first real friend, how about you?

Howell Jenkins/Sophie Hatter from HMC by Diana Wynne Jones (very specifically the book rather than Ghibli film characters) – DWJ is probably one of my longest-standing favourites, of anything, and I have literally submitted degree essays on her as an author so I'll try to restrain myself. But these two ridiculous magic-users drive each other up the wall and they're exactly what the other needs. Both pretty brilliant at what they do and both with the capacity to be stubborn idiots who cut up the other's clothes or have magically empowered tantrums over accidentally dying their hair ginger. Will not face up to unwelcome truths until they literally chase after them as destructive curses. Welsh PhD students running off to become wizards (mood) and argumentative red-heads, what more could I ask for?

Hmm I didn't realise just how much I tended towards power couples (probably with emotional issues) before this.... competency kink what now?

First Ever Ship:

In terms of being so invested that I actually consumed and created content of them? Somewhere on Fanfiction.Net I believe there's still several Mulan/Shang fics of mine from around 2004 from Disney's Mulan. Honestly the more I think about it the less surprising my whole only recently recognised bisexuality is, I'm spending half my time feeling like a Tumblr joke right now....

Glass Onion – which I've now had the fun of seeing both at the cinema and through Netflix. Definitely a film that rewards a rewatch as you start to notice all the things that were laid out right in front of you the first time round. Everyone making it seems to have had a whale of a time and it's amazing how much satisfaction I got out of that conclusion. Smashing glass can be something so personal you know?...

The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions Appendices- because I've just moved into a flat by myself after living with other people for years, and those extras are the media equivalent of being snuggled under a warm blanket with a hot chocolate for me.

Cadbury's Wispa bites. There... really aren't many left now.

Headspace? A lot of major things going on IRL right now and it'd be nice to have a bit less emotional and organisational heavy-lifting going on. Also, snow. Look. Obviously women (and nb people) can be abusive. I’ve experienced that first hand.

Johnny depp has been proven an abuser in two court cases now. Look into the previous trial it was pretty clear cut. This defamation case it falls to him specifically to prove that he never abused amber. That’s it. Mind you he’s suing her over an op ed that does not mention him by name that’s core point is that women who speak up about domestic abuse face repercussions from society at large. He alleges that it got him kicked off of pirates (a struggling franchise that was paying him an average of 60 million dollars per film that already let him go before it came out) and fantastic beasts (which he stepped down from years after the article came out.

All he’s done is try to paint her as an abuser which is not what the court case is about, so he’s not trying to win, he’s just trying to put her through the same thing he went through, despite the previous trials that are not at all in question at the moment proving he was abusive towards her

It truly is a David and Goliath story where a rich and powerful, predatory white man with a demonstrated history of violent abuse (not just against amber!) is struggling against a bisexual woman (that he was very biphobic to during their relationship) half his age with less than a quarter of his resources but obviously she’s privileged because she’s a woman.

Idk why you didn't reply in that post but okay. I've nothing to do anyway so..

1- if she didn't mean him by the abuse allegations, she wouldn't have gone through court cases with it.

2- i looked up those two cases you mentioned, i found nothing but amber heard's case. :) So it's so far, "inconclusive". But if one of them is the UK Case? That's messed up, people said she's gotten on the judge's side and many other things i fail to put here because i really didn't watch that one, i was busy then. :)

3- not one proof among the evidence presented so far gave her a real push towards winning. Everything is as her lawyers love to say "hearsay" , everything is staged. Makeup? False. 911 calls? Nothing that made the four officers that gotten there convinced that something happened even. Videos? Nothing but her making her stage and acting terribly at it. Her assistant? Proved her shitty character and manners. Said she was episodes of rage, and she spit in her face. Her neighbors, and JD's friend, saw nothing out of order but her cheating ass and lies. He saw her daily, no sign of abuse. She didn't even tell medical professionals who were around her because JD was getting a detox. She had no MEDICAL proof. Generally, people go to the doctor first, check on themselves, has a certificate to be your proof. But apparently, through all the months of their relationship, she didn't need medical care. All she has is words. Empty ones at that.

4- the woman in question, was literally diagnosed by a professional, a Forensic psychologist, and a very good one it seems from all her background and her talk (felt like I was back in one of my professor's lectures, it was that good) , with Borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder. That's being manipulative to get your needs. That's exaggerating everything and playing the victim, minimizing your actions, not seeing anything wrong with them. Playing the victim or the princess role to get what you want...

And she clearly also stated that she has no PTSD, which Alber said she has because of JD. It's clinically proven by researched tests.

5- johnny has more proofs :) he even went to the hospital for it.

6- SHE's the one who has history of domestic abuse. Even went to jail for it. (Edited this because i forgot)

7- he lost the roles the day after the first article went out. He was writing the 6th Caribbean movie with them. And the fantastic beasts 2 (idk which one he stared on, didn't watch them) as well. And he's a bloody good actor, don't kid yourself. Weird, but good.

So idk, man. If that's not satisfactory for you, waste your time as well by watching it all like I'm doing. It's interesting. And please keep your ''she's a woman'' or she's ''bisexual'' out of this. No one cares. She made a mistake, she made a mistake. Women themselves know exactly how far some of us can go.

And I was just watching this, might help freak you out a bit if she or he weren't famous, to what extent would she have gone through?
