How is the cheese illegal? Is it just like in the US how u can't bring meat or fruit and stuff

yeah i think it’s like that.......as i said, i’m pretty unclear on the exact rules (obviously fruit is illegal, as well as my cold medicine of choice, but i’m not 100% sure about meat either??), but entry into Japan has some fairly strict regulations, so i’m assuming bringing dairy products over is frowned upon
