I was re-reading this excellent post about the ‘exit pursued by a bear’ thing in Shakespeare and a possible polar bear connection and I’ve decided to post the ridiculous Terror tags I put on it because why not, I’m a dork.

#terror theatre au #erebus theatre group #very big on the edinburgh fringe circuit #sir john owns it and takes all the venerable old man roles like prospero and lear #fitz is the theatre director because of course he is but also plays all the heroic poseur roles #francis is the actual manager who does all the thankless strategic stuff and stops them going bankrupt #(used to be a critically acclaimed old school shakespearean but has 'retired' i.e. burned out. or has he?) #blanky is sound and lighting and special effects #fake explosions on demand #jopson is costumes and set changes and generally making sure everything actually works #bridgens and peglar are actors but write original scripts when needed #goodsir just joined recently and occasionally questions his choices #the polar bear was absolutely james' fault #he thought it would be a terrific gimmick and good publicity #there was definitely publicity #francis told him it was bloody stupid but as usual nobody listened to him #silna is the polar bear expert from the local zoo who was drafted in to fix the mess and has the most powerful side-eye anyone has ever seen #okay i'll stop now #EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR #that's it that's the show
