it's been said countless times but it's still so wild to me how much more intimate your native language is to you. like i could easily say to someone "i love you so much", but "te amo tanto"?? never in my fucking life it feels so gut wrenching intimate that the mere thought of it sends me into a spiral

#i've been saying te amo more lately but the te amo tanto is just. so much to me #if i ever say it just know i'm Gone gone for whoever i said it to LMAO #also like. the fact that we kinda have two ways of saying i love you fucks with me a lot #because i often say to my friends las quiero caleta which the translation would be i love you guys so much #but the meaning too is just so different #there's something about english for me that i can in a sense detach myself from #or not myself but my emotions? typing anything in english is so much easier for me than in spanish #because i'm not as attached to the language i guess #but spanish feels so personal so intimate to me saying anything that i feel in it makes it so real #god i can't wait to learn more languages #b.txt
