every now and then a new illustration replaces another in the "the most beautiful and captivating illustration i've seen in my life" marble pedestal in my mind
#the tweet i linked is the new one in place#the thumbnail crops it i think so make sure to look at it in full!#i love kikuri's carefree expression guiding an anxious bocchi#very fitting#i think the colors really bring out the appeal in kikuri's red and green complementary scheme#the grayish red and the pale green is a very nice combo#the rendering too is really great...#what can i say apart from i like clothing wrinkles and folds#the posing is full of personality and the composition just feels so fantastical and fun!#i've been looking through vocaloid and touhou illustrations trying to remember what i thought of as#TMB&CI(s)IESIML (the most beautiful and captivating illustration(s) i've ever seen in my life)#and i've found some that reminded me of how much i loved them growing up#i think i'll even make a post about them#one that comes to mind is hidari's art for EXIT TUNE's GUMism compilation album#i'll probably do within a range of years only#i'm thinking 2014~2023?#also exclusively 'anime' illustrations to narrow the scope
