#i've been hyper-fixiating on this AU for months

Okay, as i said in my last post while partially complaining about things in the manhwa, here is a post based on my AU idea of reincarnated Jeanette in TLP.

If you don't know, i made this post a while back about an idea in which Jeanette was the one reincarnated instead of Athanasia, which i thought was a really cool concept for an AU! Problem is, i'm not much of a writer. Thus, i didn't write it for some reason despite how much i wanted to make it. Plus i have other things to focus on like school so i also don't have much free time either.

So after some thought, i decided to make a post about this AU with some more depth and my thoughts about it. Do keep in mind that this AU is specifically mostly based around the novel since that's where i got the most inspiration for this, so there's going to be spoilers from the novel here and there. With that, let's get into the topic of this post.

The story starts off the same as WMMAP did, but with a reincarnated Jeanette of course.

Reincarnated!Jeanette, despite her conniptions with the OG novel, is given the opportunity as Jeanette Margarita to live a better life after how horrible her past life ended. I'm not going to explain as to why it was horrible since it would be spoilers if i make this into an actual fanfic but this post is already going to be filled with spoilers so theres that.

If you've read my first post about this AU, then you know that i have a lot of angst planned for this. What i haven't mentioned before however was how this Jeanette would deal with the fact that she was actually an evil bitch in the OG novel.

For context, in the novel side stories, Athanasia was transported into the OG Lovely Princess novel. In there, TLP!Jeanette is revealed to be WAY more cruel and condescending than how she was portrayed in the OG novel.

Anyways the reason why i brought this up is because this plays a part to Reincarnated!Jeanette's own struggle into becoming a better person despite the bleak fate that awaits her. You know, i've been watching some Mushoku Tensei from time to time. And although i have a love-hate relationship with the show, it does a great job with the protagonist's journey for redemption.

Obviously if you read Mushoku Tensei or even watched it then you know where this is going.

And i think that's why i have so many ideas about Reincarnated!Jenny's interactions with the other characters. Those she values and/or really care about serve as her drive to protect them from a fate worse than death. Foreshadowing? Maybe, let's see.

I do want to point out something about my last statement though. I want to make a reference to a post by @lithium-15 that explains about Jeanette (which i can't find, sorry if i make mistakes from here) where, if i remember correctly, stated that Jeanette's black magic act upon her deepest desires in which she wanted to be loved. I say this because even if her soul is reincarnated, Reincarnated!Jenny still has to deal with her dark magic (once she becomes aware of it ofc).

Okay back to some plot and characterization.

Since i mentioned that her relationships with other characters are very important, it's no surprise that she'll have a LOT of enemies. In this case, i imagine Rosalia and Roger being her number 1 priority (well, before Aethernitas/Anastacius comes into the picture) as after finding out their true nature, Reincarnated!Jenny goes through a lot of drama with not wanting to becoming a princess and having to bend into the will of her maternal family.

So throughout the story we see Reincarnated!Jenny constantly having conflict with her family while discovering more lies the novel covers up or just brushed off. For one thing, there was NO mention of Jeanette being created from black magic that responds to her desire of being loved, and also Roger is definitely more shady than he seems.

I also wanna mention that since she doesn't have a Lucas (and probably won't get along with him easily once they do meet), she'll have a harder time with discovering juicy secrets outside of the things her maternal family hides so things like "Aethernitas is a fucking lie" or any other thing connected to the OG TLP novel won't come up until like deep into the story.

Since i mentioned relationships in my previous post about this AU and in the beginning of this one, i feel like i should mention it again too. In the beginning, Reincarnated!Jenny definitely was pretty cold and mischievous due to how much she disliked the novel, but after getting to know the other characters she starts to loosen up and, surprise surprise becomes quite attached to them as if they were real.

Obviously it's because they are real.

I think a good example of this can be her relationship with Ezekiel (Ijekiel? idk) in this AU. In the OG TLP novel, Ezekiel is the person who Jeanette ended up with and was always there for her, but as we learn from WMMAP they didn't really have much of a romantic relationship. So it'll be really interesting to explore what sort of dynamic they'd have that made Reincarnated!Jenny come to care about him as a person and not see him as some random ass character.

ALSO i want to see her sassing Rosalia and Rosalia sassing her back! I don't know if i would follow the canon where Rosalia dies due to a landslide but i know if i do then i won't have another fun villain character. Countess Rosalia is an example that you can still hate a character even if you get reincarnated into the actual story. I imagine her and Reincarnated!Jenny having the most heated dynamic before Aethernitas/Anastacius came into the picture. I mean come on, she successfully framed LP!Athanasia and even when she was exposed still got away due to Claude's hatred for LP!Athanasia, so seeing Reincarnated!Jenny facing off such a conniving villain that is her aunt gives so much drama but also some plot significance.

Obviously if Reincarnated!Jenny doesn't take Rosalia and Roger down in time, then everyone is doomed. And because she already made changes to the story then who knows what'll happen to her. And this NOT including the mess that is Aethernitas and Anastacius...

AFTER Aethernitas/Anastacius came into the picture is when the REAL real conflict begins. I'm conflicting on whether to have Reincarnated!Jenny meet him during Athy's debutante or way earlier in life as to allude to something deeper going on in the story. Anyways, the part where Aethernitas/Anastacius reveals himself is where all hell breaks loose. I'm talking bloodshed, picking sides, tragedy and angst everywhere and some major character deaths idk i still haven't figured that out yet.

Sooo Reincarnated!Jenny, now confronted with the truth of what actually happened in the Lovely Princess novel and whatnot is pushed into an all-time low, questions if she's worthy of anything when she was the one that ruined the lives of the people she cares about in the OG TLP novel.

I think it's important that she is constantly reminded of how horrible she once was as LP!Jeanette because not only does it add some internal conflict, but also shows us that maybe her enemies her right. No matter what she does, whether she defeats Aethernitas/Anastacius or not, she'll always be a child born of black magic. A chimera. A black hole sucking up everything and everyone.

That's wne we get to the foreshadowing bit i was talking about a while ago. Yup, Reincarnated!Jenny dies! Well, not before defeating Aethernitas/Anastacius.

And i think when she destroys Aethernitas/Anastacius sorta has some irony to it because Aethernitas/Anastacius created Jeanette to take back his throne, but now she ended up killing him and thus preventing him from ever ascending to the throne once again.

Again. i'm referencing a post made by @lithium-15 and reblogged by @alicehattera03. @alicehattera03 explains that the roses of Athanasia and Jeanette's dresses has a symbolic meaning to it. In Jeanette's case it was quoted, "Blue roses mean mystery and attaining the impossible. It represents a wish that is foretold to forever stay a dream, an unattainable wish of sorts. They’re also not discoverable in nature because they can only be made by human hands, either dyed blue or made from synthetic material." (alicehattera03 post 640679287352147968)

I really like the theme of blue roses as at the end of her life, Reincarnated!Jenny was able to attain something impossible, not for her, but for the people she cares about: a life where they can be happy. But theres also the part where it's mentioned that a blue rose represents a wish that is foretold to forever stay a dream.

And i'm bringing back one of the things that made Reincarnated!Jenny the start caring for these people. She's becoming a better person by learning the values these people hold while also learning how uphold her own. She comes to emphasize and hold these people dearly. And this birthed her desire to live long enough to see them happy, because even if she has to sacrifice so much, at least it was for her loved ones.

But obviously there were some things that weren't meant to be. Maybe the people she cares about don't care for her. Maybe they did, but took her for granted or betrayed her. Still, it doesn't change the fact that these people taught her how to be a better person, better than how she was in the Lovely Princess.

And that's what made this wish of hers tragic. Because she never lived to see the fruit of her successes, and almost no one will remember that. Because Jeanette Margarita dies forgotten.

Okay, did i just spoiled my whole AU because of lack of writing skills? Yup. Did i know what i was talking about? Sort of. Did i think that the ending was pretty rushed? Of course what can i say. Was it pretty fun at least? Eeeehhhhhhhh............

That wraps up this post! I hope you all got through my crappy explanations and overall the weird concepts for this AU. Let me know if you guys are interested in a part 2 though. Personally, i wanna make separate posts dedicated to Athanasia and Ezekiel (?) since they're the two other characters that wildly differed from WMMAP in this AU of mine. Though that depends on if i still have school work to focus on since there is a lot.
