both are already incredibly compelling dynamics on their own; Kaimon with the clear affection they have for another in spite of their opposing personalities, which then blooms into romantic attraction as they grow closer to one another. Maithall with the mutual respect they grow to have for one another through bonding over their talents, before going on to realize just how much they actually compliment each other in their personalities and ideologies.

so a POLYCULE between these three is absolutely fascinating. kai and desmond getting to interacting and hitting it off as desmond's subdued but sociable personality pairs great with kai's more teasing, peppy attitude. they could easily match each other well, with Damon filling in the spots where they would clash.

trio that kind of covers all their bases with their personalities together, AND have plenty of overlap in their pasts and ideologies to bond over.
