i have such complicated feelings towards the boondocks as a franchise amidst revisiting both the comic strip and the tv show... one thing for certain aaron mcgruder you will always be famous

#i feel like this is one of those series i post about and no one gives a rat's ass #BUT just finished off my rewatch #with season 4.... sans mcgruder involvement.... 😵‍💫#i still remember when his departure from the tv series was announced because it was a HUGE BLOW to my enjoyment of it #i've always loved aaron mcgruder and his unique style is imo integral to the charm of the boondocks #the comic strip and the tv series are such separate entities to me because they're so different in so many ways #but he's still at the heart of both and it was mad noticable when he suddenly wasn't anymore!!!!!
