Do you respond to comments? I try to! Sometimes it's hard because I get all self-conscious, but y'all are the nicest people ever and so I do my best to answer whenever I get the time.

What’s the fic with the angstiest ending you’ve ever written? Probably either Deep Space Survival Tip #552, because of what I insinuate about Hui, or Dr. W Dex, because that wasn't the intended ending but then I completely ran out of steam on that one.

Do you write crossovers? Nope! I've considered it, but holding two differing narrative styles in my brain at once sounds tricky.

Have you ever gotten hate on a fic? No, thank goodness. I would be very sad if I made someone angry enough to leave a comment like that.

Do you write smut? No. And I don't think I ever will.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? I hope not! I don't think anyone would want to steal my weird little stories, though.

Have you ever had a fic translated? No I have not! I would be very honoured though, and it would certainly be an interesting experience.

What are your writing strengths? I like writing dialogue, and I can do angst I guess?

What are your writing weaknesses? Goodness, it feels like everything asdfdf. But also descriptions and fluff. I'm working on getting better at fluff, but it's tricky for me.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics? I can see where it has its uses, but I've never done it. I'm not confident enough to.

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for? Technically, I found a rambley old file that was for the Tangled TV Show, so that's my first fandom. But I don't usually count that because it was so bad and never finished.

I normally say MBS, because that's when I actually understood fanfiction and intentionally chose to write it.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far? Ahhhhh. I hate looking back on my work. I usually publish it and then kind of pretend it didn't happen. But I do like Swept Away. It's kind of a silly concept, but it's something I thought about hundreds of times when I first read the books. Any of my older stuff, really. The further away I get from writing it the more I'm able to like it.

Carmy like unsure whether or not he is actually scared/believes Richie when he says he could end his relationship with tony got me like on my knees in my workplace when I read that bc UGH he has absolutely zero confidence and i just want to kiss his face okay. Also him not really wanting to share tony with Richie is so real of him actually. Like he wants Tony to just be his and that's so sweet.

3) if we dont find out the chip storyline ill riot if only for Carmy's sake cause like Carm, im also now very intrigued that Richie didn't immediately blab when prompted but also go richie thats very cute

What does that mean? All questions relate to you in some way.

What gave you the initial idea of Fault? What are Fault's origins?

Each character has to spend a day in your body living your life. They just spontaneously get teleported there with no previous explanation. The system guys get teleported along with the other people in their mind. (Tubbo with their group and Blade with Blood god and voices). Void can fuck off I'm not counting it as a system guy. You are meanwhile chilling as a ghost spirit thingie who can watch what's happening and occasionally give hints if you really need to. After the day is over they get teleported back. Assuming that they're in your body means that their powers are left in their bodies too. How well does that go? Or more like how fast do they ruin your life? : D

Who's your favourite child. And by child I mean character from the crew. If you do not have a favourite just say what you personally like about each character/mb what you relate to in them

You spontaneously get teleported into your fic. You can choose the specific moment, I'm just imagining sometime during a stop when they're chilling and nothing major is happening. You get teleported as yourself in this world, so human without powers (supposedly). They do not know that you're their author. And alternative scenario, what happens/ how fast are you gonna be dead if they do know that you made up their story and all of their suffering?

Apparently to be my favourite you just need to be a hypocrite in a way that's both harmful to yourself and others! Neato. And also be a charismatic/silly bastard.

1.The very first spark was a picture of someone else’s scp au. Or monster au? I might try to find it, I don’t know what platform it would be on since for years I just went through google search images for content. Anyway there was a bee Tubbo with dripping skin aggressively hugging Tommy who I think was flower themed? Idk. But I had a moment where I was like oh! I can make them spooky monster guys! And proceeded to do that. Why SCP? I’m not even an SCP fan? Well like months before then my partner in crime (who IS actually into SCP stuff) talked me through all the ones he could think of and then I’d try to come up with stupid ways to defeat them. I liked the framework. So I made little character sheets and then a crappy comic that turned out to be chapters 15-16. Couldn’t stop thinking about it but was like well can’t start at the break out, so I decided to start it when Tubbo and Tommy first met.

2.Tubbo would ace it since I’m currently in the agronomics sector and they have experience via gardening and orchard tending. They’d get startled by the 30 mph winds, keep expecting to be blown away before remembering they’re in a meat body now. The Blade would also be chill with it since he finds gardening relaxing. But Philza would have the patience to sit through the 10 hours of committees I’m dealing with this week. God I wish that was an exaggeration. The Blade would EXPLODE though. What do you MEAN it took 3 1/2 hours to make a 15 minute decision??? Honestly I’m going to assume everyone but Philza would ruin my PCUSA advisory delegate duties. Actually no he’d dip too since he’d feel no obligation to bother. Rip me I guess. But other than that and maybe skipping work I don’t think they could mess up my life too bad. I’m pretty isolated from friends and family at the moment and it’s not like I’ll give any of them my passwords to tech or credit cards. Since only Tubbo can drive they’d have to walk quite a ways to even get into town to cause problems. Honestly? I think I’m safe. Ghost me would be begging for sun protection, but I figure only Tubbo, Phil, and The Blade would bother helping me out like that. Other than that…

Wilbur would be extremely disappointed about the lack of food variety. Philza might solve that by killing a squirrel and cooking it. Tommy would get crazy dysphoria which same dude.

3.Right now it’s Tubbo. It changes though. I just really like how much a disaster they are in the current arc and how they slowly change for the better. Phil is also really fun to work with tho, he's so fun to draw.

4.

I think I’d aim for the 75% mark of epoch 2 since I think everything will be chillest then. That (supposedly) is absolutely fantastic for the implication you can’t be sure I don’t already have them. Personally I think I’d be very freaked out because it’s a very dangerous situation and I’m sure they all look horrific irl. But also I’d try to play dumb but friendly, since revealing I know a lot of info about the group is a bad idea. Like hello stalker much? Fast track to getting labelled a threat, which is kinda a death sentence. They might investigate at first since The Blade getting teleported had a lot of fallout. Tommy would be pretty psyched about a new person to talk to. After confirming I’m human, there’s probably immediately a discussion on whether or not to kill the witness. Tubbo and Tommy are obviously pretty opposed, while Wilbur is like whatever that’s a human they’ll stab us in the back and Philza just wants to reduce risk. But The Blade is chill with humans and breaks the vote against killing me. Yippee. After that I’m going to get out of there as fast as possible. Cause either the Foundation gets me or I’m collateral damage to the crew and no thanks! Tubbo would probably lend a few bees to help me get to the nearest town. And the void….I think the void definitely would know I’m the author and be desperate to learn my True Name. Or just kill me to see what happens.

If the entire group instantly knows oh boy. However I instantly hit them with the ‘if you kill me this world die too’. The guys and flies: really???? Me: You don’t know that it won’t!

Philza is definitely down for some torture and honestly Tommy might second that. But I picked a time when things are actually going well, AND can use knowledge of things that are planned to happen to bargain my way into living by being useful. And I would actually know everyone’s mental problems and could distract everyone by pointing out red flags like ‘hey! Tommy’s suicidal y’all should work on that!’ or ‘repressing The Blood God will hurt you in the long run!’ or what have you. Just throw out enough dirty laundry that they’re too busy worrying about the mental health of their friends to focus on me. Rather debatable on how well me pointing out their flaws would lead to character development, but hey it’s worth a shot. I’m hated but my advice is trusted. This will work semi well until the void kills me.

✨ Choose three adjectives to complement your own writing:

Y’all started with the hard stuff 😅 alright uhhh

1) emotional - I feel like I'm really good at conveying what characters are feeling (at least when its angst) and bringing readers along on that journey

2) hopeful - except for my one mcd fic (but even then I wrote a second ending where it was happy and hopeful again), i only write happy endings. Like no matter how bad it gets, there's always something good waiting beyond that. Because life would suck without hope - it's imo one of the strongest things in the universe, and I like my writing to reflect that.

3) physical - i was told one (1) time during one of my classes that I was very good at writing the physicality of the characters during a fight scene, to the point that the reader had absolutely no trouble or confusion what-so-ever about where the character was, what they were doing, which hand the weapon was in, etc. and proceeded to make that my entire writing personality for years. Any time i write an action scene specifically, i think back to their complement and try to judge whether the new scene would get that same commentary, and if I think the answer is no, i go back and edit it to that internal standard. Which i think leaves the writing very easy to understand and easy for the reader to feel when reading.

💭 What is a headcanon you have about your own work?

ooh this one took me awhile to come up with! I don't really know if it means like... about my writing as a whole? or just one of my fics? So I'm going with the second. I 100% headcanon that azris is real in my State of Grace series (ace!Elain and amnesia!Feysand). I have more fics planned in this series and hope to get azris' story one day, but i don't have any ideas at all for them yet so it remains headcanon. I also headcanon that when Nesta finds out Feyre thought she was a puca she finds it hilarious (though she'll never admit to it), and doesn't let Feyre live it down for at least a decade.

Feysand:

The A Court of Faded Dreams series and The Outlier, both by the-lonelybarricade. ACoFD is so good at making the angst of UTM and the fallout of time travel be heartwarming, and is definitely a favorite of mine to reread. Meanwhile The Outlier is adorable and definitely a comfort fic when I want to read something short and sweet with flustered!Rhys.

A Court Outside of Time by Sonata_IX - I reread this one so often its not even funny. Feyre trying to seduce Rhys while he's still wearing his UTM mask is hilarious, heartbreaking, heartwarming, and all around amazing. And the Starfall scene???? Rhys learning he's going to be a dad?🥹

What Dreams May Come by as_with_a_sunbeam - sick fic with feyre taking care of Rhys. What else is there to say? Feyre's desperation to save Rhys, only to be as self-sacrificial as him and give him up? It's so good I can feel Rhys' heartbreak every time I read, which makes the happy ending so so sweet.

Nessian:

Anything by TheTeaQueen - she writes Nesta so fucking well and has put out phenomenal fics focusing on Rhys and Nesta bonding. I'm in awe with every single one. Of Death and Resurrection specifically is amazing, and one I return to over and over again.

Begged and Borrowed Time by daughterofthesea - seriously go read this fic. Its so good and heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. One of my favorites hands down - Cassian noticing the embroidery right off the bat? Seeing something that even her sisters haven't noticed? Nesta admitting the truth to him when she can't to anyone else? I die in the best way. 🥹

Elucien:

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room and Don't Blame Me by separatist-apologist are my go-to fics when I need a pick-me-up. I think don't blame me was actually the first of mb's fics I ever read (it is I just checked), and SDIABR will always hold my heart with the fake-courting to real-feelings pipeline, and the way Lucien reacts when he learns of the truth, running around all night to help them out.

Literally the reason it took so many days to post this is that I got sucked into rereading these fics as I linked them😅

Only F1 now. In the past I've mostly written for Muse. I've also written for BBC Sherlock. I have been writing since I was a kid, though, so there was a lot of stuff that didn't even make it online, let alone to AO3 lol 

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 

Dance Me To The Moon (F1 / Sebastian Vettel), Zero Minus Ten (Muse), Everything of Nothing (Muse), Never Dream of Dying (Muse) and Resistance (Muse) 

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? 

Absolutely. Unfortunately it's very common that readers do not give the authors any feedback. So if someone goes out of their way to show any kind of support or, as some very kind people do, leave detailed reviews, I will be incredibly grateful and make sure to let them know. 

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? 

I often end my stories in a positive note, even the ones who have a vague or open ended finale. But I'd say a Muse one-off I wrote in 2009 called "Il Coma" was heavy for my standards. Also Never Dream of Dying, but that was part of a trilogy so not sure it counts. (well, the readers at the time were not pleased with the TBC, let's put it that way LOL)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? 

Currently, on AO3, I think Dance Me To The Moon. I don't want to spoil but it's a romance so.... haha  

8. Do you get hate on fics? 

I don't remember ever getting hate tbh.  

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? 

Oh, yeah. Lots. Ha. All kinds. M/M. F/M. Threesomes. I've done PWP. I've done kink. I've done romance. I've done dubious/non-con. I've (literally) written smut sitting in a church. I've gotten to the point where I'm sort of getting bored of writing it.  

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? 

Yes. I once wrote a Muse / BBC Sherlock crossover - Showbiz. It was incredibly fun to plot. It was well received, too, so I enjoyed that! The Mb-7 universe trilogy is also a crossover of sorts between Muse and Daniels Craig's James Bond, because characters such as M and Q feature.  

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? 

If I did, I never noticed.  

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? 

I was once asked for permission for someone to translate a story, I felt very honoured! 

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? 

Yes, the whole MB-7 trilogy was co-written with one of my best friends. 

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? 

In F1 I will have to say Sebastian with Jenson or with Mark. (although in reality I like him with everyone lol). But Mulder / Scully from The X Files and Matt Bellamy / Dom Howard from Muse are probably my OTPs.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? 

I don't really have WIPs because although I have a lot of ideas and have plotted things in detail that never materialised, I only start writing once I am 100% I will write it in full.

The only exception - and therefore a regret I never finished - is a sequel to the BBC Sherlock / Muse crossover. I wrote a few pages and sadly that was it.

16. What are your writing strengths? 

Hard for me to answer this. But I try to make the characters as realistic and true to life as possible. I also make it a point of having a decently structured plot.  

17. What are your writing weaknesses? 

Oh, god, where to start. I feel immediately restricted in how and what I write because my command of English (as second language) is not as good as I wish it would be. Then I'm also a very slow writer and edit endlessly. I tend to repeat ideas and certain expressions. I don't know, we could be here all day lol  

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? 

Very cool! I love languages and especially in F1 it's very fitting.  

19. First fandom you wrote for? 

It was a TV show and I don't remember the name, I was a kid. The first one I do remember was for an American band called Matchbox 20.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? 

This is SO hard to reply! I'm going to leave out one-shots (which kills me cos there is a few I still love) and mention only chaptered stuff:

Dance Me To The Moon (F1) because I never thought I'd be able to write a romance and I was so incredibly proud of myself, was fully emerged in it and I will carry these two with me for the rest of my life.

Resistance  (Muse) because it was the first time I wrote a novel length thriller that I felt had all I wanted and it was such an enjoyable process.

Everything or Nothing (Muse) because it was the first of the MB-7 trilogy, it was co-written, we adored our villain, the huge amount of nods to James Bond. And it kicked off a series with a level of plot intricacy that I will never be able to top.

Showbiz (Sherlock / Muse) because it was such a crazy crossover but I had so much fun dissecting Sherlock and I was very happy with the result.

Honourable nod to a figure skating fanfic I wrote with Alexei Yagudin / Michelle Kwan, years ago. It was self-indulgence of the greatest kind and I loved writing every word of it. I have no idea if it's online anywhere atm. I wish I could remember the title!

Ember, I tried my very best to find old ask games I reblogged with these emojis, sadly I could not. I found this one for the numbers. I already answered 1 and 32 here. I answer 12 and 52 below and have a few other fun treats for you.

12. How does receiving or not receiving feedback/support help you? Feedback helps me so much. It lets me know that my writing is good and that I’m doing something right. Originally, fanfic was just supposed to be me getting my brain bees™️ out of my head so I could focus. I didn’t expect people to actually enjoy them to such a degree. I mean, I figured someone else who liked TMBS might like them a little, but I did not expect such incredible feedback.

I got a tumblr in September of last year to release my thoughts on TMBS, including my SOS fan theory, but I never intended to write any fic about it, because it was a super specific head canon (and also I'd never even read fanfic before at that point, though I'd heard of the concept), I wasn't sure people would like it, I'd never done any serious creative writing before, and at the time, I had no idea how much season 2 canon would continue to support it's plausibility. But, for better or for worse, eventually I was inspired enough to write the fic. And if you told me in January of this year, before SOS was published, when it was just a little idea in my head that I’d have people drawing fan art based on my fics, doing elaborate analyses call out posts based on my fics (thank you @sophieswundergarten and @itsgoghtime🥰), making a whole personality quiz based on my fic (again thank you Sophie), getting a tumblr to compliment my on my fic and share headcanons, and, the latest of the fandom's beautiful compliments, someone doing a whole podcast episode based on one of my fics (thanks @heyitsthatonesmolgay), I would not have believed you.

This feedback means the world to me, and it's also taught me the importance of leaving feedback on other fics as well. Part of the rational in writing SOS was releasing the thoughts that are inside my head about my hyperfixation, since I'd be thinking about it constantly anyway. Writing it out is certainly more rewarded than daydreaming alone, but it's also more time consuming. Knowing that someone out there is not only listening to what I'm saying, but enjoying it to such a degree lets me know that this is a hobby that's worth the time and energy. Obviously, it's fine to do hobbies only for yourself, I did that for years, but being able to do something you enjoy in such a way that it makes someone else happier and brings joy to someone's life is incredibly rewarding. And if I didn't receive any feedback, I would assume no one was listening. I'd release my ideas into the void to get the brain bees out, and then when the hyperfixation died, I'd just delete them. But now I know that I'm not just talking to the void anymore, I'm talking to a group of people that are invested in the stories I have to share. Feedback on fics lets authors know that they're good at writing, because they might not know it. I certainly never thought so. Sure, I thought my ideas were cool, but has everyone else I've ranted to about mbs irl thought that? Not exactly. So leave feedback on your favorite fics, go crazy about them. Don't burn yourself out, obviously, but trust me, it will not go unappreciated, especially in a smaller fandom.

I always try to respond with something. They make me so happy; someone took the time out of their day to say they liked my fic, my ideas, and comment or ask questions about them! It’s a great honor, and thank you all for your lovely comments and feedback!

As you may be aware, I am writing a secret fan fic for Curio's secret fic gift exchange. I can't promise the fic is at the level of my usual work (as you may have suspected from my lack of SOS updates, I've been quite busy), but I shall try my best. However, what I can promise you is that A) more SOS is coming, and B) regardless of who my gift fic is for, it will include a brief reference or mention of the book "The Little Prince", which I know you are a big fan of. I know you mostly do analyses, but do you have any particularly unique headcanons about Laito? It can be anything, strange, obscure, sad, funny... I'm just curious to know some of the ideas you have about him, regardless of if they are actually backed by canon or not. Sorry if this question is maybe a bit too general. But I figured since you spend a lot of time analyzing him, you probably have a ton of ideas people haven't asked about. So here's your chance! I wanna know!

OOOOO omg thanks so much for giving me this opportunity, anon!!! It means a lot that you wanna know my thoughts like this! I have some crack headcanons and some legitimate ones, and some in between!

Corn’s headcanons under the cut! (One is NSFW so just a warning)

- I’ve always found this interesting, but there doesn’t seem to be modern technology in the Sakamaki mansion. The only thing modern I’ve seen in any DL scene was probably Kino’s phone in Lost Eden and in some Tokutens. Considering Laito is a dork and loves crossword puzzles and plays darts and billiards, I love to imagine that he doesn’t know how to work around modern technology. Sure he’s smart as hell but I just love thinking about him being a boomer when it comes to that stuff hgalsdkjf 

- Idk if this is counts as a (crack) headcanon or not, but you’d have to be really careful to bring Laito on a picnic date or something. It would be really cute, but he doesn’t like bugs. But man I find his fear of bugs kinda cute not gonna lie hehe.

- I believe I have mentioned that I have a headcanon that he’d be a theater kid. Another anon also mentioned this a while back too, and I freaking LOVE that idea oh my god; here’s the original post developing on that too!

- Kinda another crack headcanon but we know Laito isn’t afraid of feminine things like he straight up has an entire closet of women’s clothing; I don’t think he clarified if it’s for himself or his partners _(:3 」∠)_ but he wore the Alice costume,,,, so I also think he has other ““feminine”” interests. Like I really wanna see him read Shoujo manga. I don’t think that would be ooc at all imo LOL

- Laito and Kou can do makeup; Kou more than Laito, but again. Laito has a cosplay/roleplay closet. Come on. We know he goes full into stuff.

- Which again all of this supports the Laito being a theater kid headcanon LOL! I also think he’d try to dress up Ayato (and maybe Kanato?) when they were kids aakdjsdjj

- I guess this is another crack headcanon cuz I love Laito’s dorky nature but I think he full on has a dictionary in his room somewhere for crossword puzzles when he can’t think of a word, just in case.

- I wanna think that he was already was afraid of spiders when he was a kid but it got worse when Ayato kept pranking him with bugs or telling Laito horror stories related to bugs lol

- As for the NSFW side of things that I haven’t seen mentioned before; I think he’s into some form of somnophilia akdkskjdsj but again he likes it when they resist. But kinda like a spider, his “prey” would wake up in the middle of whatever he was doing to them and he’d get his high off of them resisting then when it’s too late oops. However I don’t rly think of NSFW hcs too often

- I feel like some of the new girls (or maybe some boys heh) at school initially had a crush on him but then was deterred by other girls who were like “no don’t” (LOL now that I realize it, similar shit happened in college; I was one of the girls who was warning the freshmen)

- going off of that I think he (and probably every other diaboy going to that school) has a secret fan club. Kou’s is obviously the biggest but I definitely think there’s a group of girls (and maybe a boy or two) that don’t heed the Laito warnings. Maybe they put little letters in his locker or something. Regardless he’d know who they are after a short period of time. Would he do something? Probably not, he could get caught if he made any of them his actual vampire shenanigans victim. But subtlety tease them??? Maybe some more??? Oh you fuckin bet.

- After his first wave of feeling his true emotions (like in MB ecstasy) he didn’t know how to truly express them. So I think he’d definitely play the piano a lot afterwards. Is it a distraction or expressing himself? Or both? And did I get inspired by the DL fic, “The Days That’ll Never Come?” Yes. Yes I did. I also think that he writes his own songs. Some with lyrics, some without, but man, I think he could freeform like a mad lad. Since song lyrics are pretty much poetry, I think he has some poems lying around here and there. But poor thing doesn’t know how to properly take care of himself emotionally ;(

-This was confirmed in one of those 4 Koma manga for More,More Blood, but it came to no surprise that Laito went through stuff in the attic for blackmail on all his brothers lmaoooooo what a fucking troll I love this man. Going off of that he’d definitely pull pranks with Ayato. And some on Ayato lol.

- basically yeah I view Laito as a deep, artistic, internally depressed dork. Sure he’s into some sexual stuff obviously but I like talking about how he’s like/how he might be like when there’s not a sacrifice in the house :) I love talking about his dorky side too much tho omg
