Obviously you'd expect anything referencing Hawaii to have come directly from Owen's mind so that was probably just some of his own natural irl vibes breaking through lol, plus Don as a character is free to flirt more openly with Loki in a way that Mobius sometimes holds himself back from with a little more caution so basically Owen saw his opportunity and took it because he's just that good and we all benefit!
