The Wii Facts Plus blog is now on an indefinite hiatus due to real-life time constraints. Thank you all very much for your support over the years! The Twitter and Tumblr blogs both will remain up for as long as they don't get banned or something. My main account is @HEYimHeroic on all platforms... though I don't use Tumblr outside of using it for Wii Facts Plus. So I suggest you follow me elsewhere under that username, like Twitter or Cohost.
This blog is what started my interest in Mii trivia, documentation, and preservation efforts. The blog is not going on hiatus because I no longer have an interest in Miis - quite the opposite, actually! I now have many other projects that are (at least from a preservation/archival standpoint) more important than the Wii Facts Plus blog. For example, my main focus, the Mii Library, which aims to archive and preserve every officially recognized Mii ever. (Though, the site is also on hiatus as of this post... But only because I'm working on rewriting the whole site!)
I still occassionally post Mii facts on my main Twitter account, which may get retweeted onto the Wii Facts Plus Twitter blog in the future. It will not get reposted onto the Tumblr account, however. Also, I always make it a point to make a post about Mii birthday events on my birthday, February 23rd, so I may continue doing that for the Wii Facts Plus blog. Overall, I'm still collecting many, many interesting Mii facts, I just am either not posting it because it should go on the Mii Library, or I'm posting it as regular tweets on my main account on Twitter. But I understand finding those tweets may be hard, so that's why I think I may retweet them on the Wii Facts Plus Twitter account!
For long-form Mii trivia content, I will sometimes also post on my main Cohost account. Though I don't have much content on it currently, I do have one very long post about Saburo's interesting history, all the way from Wii Sports, up to Nintendo Switch Sports, and even dipping into Smash Bros. I also plan to post some interesting Mii stuff on my main YouTube channel, but there's currently nothing there as of writing this post. But expect to see both Shorts and longer videos explaining technical Mii things!
The Mii Library rewrite is coming along! There are so many useful features that I'll be able to implement that I wouldn't be able to if I was still using Google Sites. Some features are just for-fun, but other features help readers of the site to get the Miis onto their systems more easily! I can't wait.
Thank you all once again for everything. Mii facts are my passion, and probably will be for a good while. This blog officially entering hiatus just allows me more headspace to work on the more important Mii projects of mine. So, once again...

Writing asks I came up with:
1. What got you into writing fanfic in the first place?
2. What boundaries would you not cross as a writer regarding content?
3. Has a fic ever made you cry? And if so, what was it about that fic?
4. How do you feel about abandoning fics?
5. Are there any novel authors you like that have influenced your writing style?
YAY!! Asks!! Thank you so much for coming up with these! Get exciting for me to ramble and overshare (but do you expect anything less?!)
What got you into writing fanfic in the first place?
I have been writing fanfic since before I was even old enough to know what it really was. I was always day dreaming and drawing pictures inserting my own characters into my favorite stories, or forcing my favorite characters into my own situations (my mother used to transcribe the adventures of various Disney princess for me lol) the first *real* fanfiction I remember writing was in 5th grade for the book Eragon. My childhood best friend and I had a red spiral bound notebook that we passed back and forth and wrote our fic in. In terms of The 1975- I've been a fan of theirs since the Robbers music video started showing up on my Tumblr dash back in like 2014? (I couldn't figure out who I wanted to be more... Matty or the Robbers girl and years later I still in fact do not have an answer for that one lol) And I realized they were the same band that sang the song Chocolate. However, I didn't start posting my writing for them until last year when I was Going Through It™️ and my Bestie encouraged me to use it as an outlet (sorry Fictional!Matty! that's why your life sucks!)
2. What boundaries would you not cross as a writer regarding content?
I don't think I've actually killed off any *main* character or public figure yet and I can't actually see myself doing that? At least in something that I post for public consumption? Honestly that could change though. I don't really have any boundaries I'm not willing to cross because I am a firm believer that fanfiction is still considered art and art is supposed to make someone feel something and even make them uncomfortable. I actually have a fic that I've been working on that I'm hesitant to share because I'm not sure boundaries exist and I don't want to offend anyone (again) 😂
3. Has a fic ever made you cry? And if so, what was it about that fic?
This question isn't fair. I am a cryer, everything makes me cry. I started crying the other day because I love my horse so much (he's totally fine he was just looking super cute and was all happy I brought him carrots.) So yes, lots of fics have made me cry. Anything that I read that I can tell the author poured their heart into writing is honestly going to make me at least tear up and I am not ashamed to admit it. That's why I don't wear mascara on my lower lashes and only wear waterproof eyeliner 😂
4. How do you feel about abandoning fics?
I've only officially done it once, for a Hockey RPF fic that I just, wasn't enjoying working on. Everything else is just on "Hiatus" until I remember it exists again even if it takes years. I don't consider myself a quitter and abandoning a fic that I've started posting kind of breaks my soul. HOWEVER I do have a folder on my Google Drive that's just a graveyard of abandoned and half finished fics that I never posted that I go and visit sometimes.
5. Are there any novel authors you like that have influenced your writing style?
Yes! For sure 100%. However, I am currently sitting here going "I have never read a book before in my life" which is obviously a bold face lie you should see my GoodReads page but not really because there is a ton of my real life personal information on it lol Even though he's not (technically) a novelist (even though he did write a book!) can I say Pete Wentz? He's probably one of the writers I look up to the most. The way he bends words to pen lyrics just... scratch an itch in my brain and I hope I can one day make someone feel the way Fall Out Boy lyrics make me feel and I 100% feel like the flowery way he writes has influenced my to some capacity.
Thank you so much for sending these in! It was fun!

2022 Writerly Year Review
I was tagged for this by @0nelittlebirdtoldme; I in turn tag the amazing @kayedium-writes, @udaberriwrites, @mrsmungus, @magma-saarebas19 and @sliebman10.
Total number of completed works: Let's go with 4 - technically it's 2, and the other 2 are works that can stand alone and have been put on hiatus for now, but could theoretically be picked up later on.
Total number of WIPs worked on this year: Hmm... let's go with 2 on this one. Technically I started writing Apricity last year on my own, but I didn't start posting until this year and I ended up throwing out most of what I wrote last year anyways. The other work is the 5+1 elemental interlude, Mahabhuta, that I started just as 2022 was coming to a close.
WIPs neglected this year: None, actually. Mostly because I don't intentionally take on projects only to never work on them. I had draft notes for WIPS from years ago in my Google Drive, but I never intended to publish them - those are just bonuses if I feel like going back.
Fandoms I've written in: Only two - Fire Emblem Three Houses (for Ferdibert, specifically) and Twilight/Life and Death (for my Winter Light verse)
Total word count: The 81k or so words I have on Apricity's first 14 chapters so far.
Looking back, did you write more than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you expected? Seeing as I totally forgot about my fics and didn't start writing again until August of this year, I'd say I did about what I expected, writing-wise.
Did you take any writing risks this year? Posting my long-fic to AO3 in the first place. I'd only done a few oneshots years ago in a different fandom (FE3H), so this was a total shot in the dark for me.
Do you have any goals for the new year? Write at least 500 words every day (so far a success on day 2). Get at least 1 chapter/month on Apricity, but also finish all of Mahabhuta (the 5+1 smut/elemental interlude piece), start this other 7-chapter long-fic that focuses on another character, and random one-shot bits that strike me here and there.
Biggest disappointment? That I couldn't write faster than 1 chapter a month. Part of that is my grad student life, but a good part of that is me contending with my ADHD brain, so...
Biggest surprise? That people actually liked my weird niche? Like... I threw out 98% of canon and went with this unusual Eastern-take and new lore, history, character dynamics and backstories... and somehow people actually like it? This is really strange and weird and doesn't have any ties to the fandom beyond the superficial 2% that I kept?? Especially people who write in and have tastes in totally different niches than what I'm writing? I'm flattered, but also shocked, and also grateful for the support!
Most popular story of the year? Naturally the long-fic, Apricity. Pretty much the only thing I published this year, so...
What's your own favorite story of the year? See above.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Uh... I don't think I can call out much here. My long-fic from this year and the few one-shots from long ago seem just fine to me?
Most fun story to write: Seeing as I'm totally lost in Winter Light brain rot, I'd say anything related to that universe and not just Apricity. Right now, I'm already 2k into Mahabhuta and find that surprisingly easier to write (I did that much in two days, for real!)
Most unintentionally telling story: Err... same as above.
My favorite part of fandom this year: Because of my niche, I don't really have a 'place' in the Twilight fandom in the traditional sense. But of course not - I freaking threw out everything that made that story. The only thing I kept were the names and appearances and very superficial pieces... so I can't really say that I'm part of that fandom even though I technically am. As a result, I found my space in multi-fandom spaces like on Reddit or Discord or now, on Tumblr, and I'm so very grateful for all the lovely, talented writers who've not only supported me, but also have shown me stuff totally out of my usual fare that I've grown to love quite a bit!

(prompt fill for tes fanfic discord; this is exactly 500 words long)
"At the start men were at war with the elves and men were lead by Shor. But Shor wasn't the greatest of all the warriors who fought, he was only most beloved. The greatest warrior was Tsun.
"And Tsun knew well he was the mightiest warrior, and where Shor felled one elf in a fight Tsun felled twenty. But Tsun was shy and slow of wit, while Shor had a booming voice and charming face. So all loved Shor and thought him the mightiest warrior, and Tsun was only his little right-hand.
"Then one day the Orrey-Elf cornered Shor in battle and struck him down. And Tsun was alongside him and was struck down also. And the battle-brothers lay dying in the snow.
"But a little snake slithered up to Tsun and alighted on his shoulder. Tongue flickering against his ear, the snake told Tsun his chance was now. That he could be rid of the trumpeting Shor forever.
"So envious Tsun took his axe and rent open Shor's chest and scooped out his heart. And Tsun made a likeness of his own corpse in the snow, so that he would be thought to have fallen in battle. And holding the heart close to his own breast, Tsun fled east.
"Tsun wandered the east until he found a dry and most horrid land. And he buried Shor's heart in the ash, where it would never be found by the Nords.
"Tsun returned to the west and said Lo, brothers, I did not fall in battle, but am returned from Sovngarde by my own might! But he found his comrades grieving for fallen Shor, and grieving for his lost heart. And Tsun joined them, but soon the funeral-songs turned him sick with envy, for he wanted them to sing about him instead.
"And the snake slithered upon Tsun's shoulder, and said he ought to go back east, where he'd be the mightiest warrior. So Tsun went back east and found that over the heart had grown a giant mountain, far more impressive than he, and he was envious. Worse yet, he could still hear the funeral-songs, so he put up a wall of ice to block out the sound, which is Dunmeth Pass. But he got sicker and sicker with envy still, until..."
The woman's voice trails off. The fire has burned low, half her audience is dozing off, all slumped against each other. The festivities beyond have died down, the world has shrank to this little bubble of sleepy warmth.
"... Until?" asks a tired man from the ground. "Finish the story."
"... Until he was so envious, he turned green!"
A chorus of groans erupts from the crowd, suddenly-revived-- people sit up, people clamor to throw things at her, shouting protests.
"What, what!" cries the woman indignantly. "What did I say!"
"Tsun isn't Mauloch!" someones declares.
"Says who!"
"Who's the snake?" asks the man, with his back turned still.
Face orange in the ember-light, she replies, "You know who."
