it's like three am and i really should be asleep but i'm haunted by this kuroko no basket oneshot book on wattpad from years ago which legitimately did something to me. they were by this author called shikiorin and initially uploaded in 2017, and i remember reading them in like 2021, 2022 and maybe even early 2023 (??) but then one day, both the author and the oneshots disappeared, and i was so devestated, oh my days.

these were genuinely some of the most beautiful oneshots i've read, especially in the knb fandom. there were like two in particular that left an impression on me: one was a takao kazunari oneshot called something like 'you are the light in my unseeing eyes' and it narrated the marital life of him and his blind partner and i'm not exaggerating when i say i spent countless nights sobbing over that even though it wasn't particularly sad, but because the way the author wrote them and their love was so soft and beautiful. there was another oneshot (but this one had multiple parts so i guess you could call it a multi-shot but whatever who cares about the technicalities) and it was about kuroko and a divine being/ghost attached to a temple and she ended up being reincarnated to another life and got with him in the end. this was also so lovely and i clearly remember what emotions it left me with-

i don't know why i'm suddenly rambling about this oneshot book but i just need to scream into the void about how much love i genuinely have for it. i hope the author is doing amazing wherever they are <3 and that they know at least one person on the internet was impacted by their writing (and still goes feral over it). but aghhh if only i could read it again.
