You know that feeling that once you start to learn more about something, you think you’re getting worse because you realize how little you actually knew? Yeah, I’m feeling that.
#Me senior year of high school thinking I was so ahead and knew a bunch about design#vs me now in my second year of college realizing how little I actually know and how mediocre most of my work is#idk man i just feel rusty even though i took two classes over the summer where i had to design stuff#but even then like the stuff i was making for my typography class was often the best i could do but i still wasn't happy with it#grrr art is hard :(#one of my assignments for a class is to write 300 words about our weaknesses and I'm just like#how do i say im not creative and make boring designs without sounding like a little bitch#that's at least how I feel#and like imposter syndrome aint no joke#i always feel like everybody knows more than me or is more skilled than me and that somehow I've tricked my way into taking the classes I am#like i do not feel experienced enough to be in some of these classes yet here i am#trying to tell myself that i'm fine and I'm still learning but that doesn't mean I believe it#meee postee#art student#personal#ignore this#if you want i don't really care#like im just saying the transition from being one of two competent people on my high school's yearbook staff in terms of design#to being surrounded by all these crazy skilled people is insane#I also may be losing my mind a little bit but that's been happening for a while
