hawks didn't know exactly how or when he started to like you.

maybe it was the way your fingers would touch whenever you slid his coffee over to him. or maybe it was the first time he went over to the counter and saw your normally hardened eyes soften at seeing him genuinely smile.

(he knows it was the fact that you didn't lose your sanity when he came by like every other person who saw him.)

what keigo did know was that every time you handed him his drink, his wings fluttered at the same tempo as his heart.

and you?

you weren't the type of person to fall for a customer... or really anyone in general.

always told that you were threatening with your height and stoic demeanor, your interactions at work weren't very long.

it was the same thing over and over again. they would request their drink, you would write it down, you would make it, and then you would hand it to them.

a simple cycle broken by one love-stricken keigo takami.

as soon as he realized his feelings for you, keigo began to flirt... hard. was it incredibly hard to take him serious with that goofy grin & blush? yes.

did it make you smile as soon as you turned away from the counter? also yes.

hawks most likely asks you out by getting you a small plushie that he noticed you had been eyeing from the shop next door.

your small, thankful grin creates this gentleness that you can see in his golden eyes.

taking him away from the register, you looked him in his eyes for any hint of a lie or anything distrustful... but nothing. just a certain look that you could consider love. so you kissed him on the cheek.

after a few blissful beats of silence, his dumbass ruined it with:

"you wanna kiss me on the lips so bad it makes you stupid."

whether you immediately go back to work after that or kiss him on the lips is up to you.

just know that keigo takami will be back the next day to see his favorite barista and hopefully give you coffee-flavored kisses.
