i'm a caitlyn fan but sometimes it's lowkey embarrassing to say she's my favorite character

i've been scrolling on social media n stuff and ppl are absolutely D RIDING cait. honestly me too but it's gotten to a point where it's actually UNBAREABLE to scroll and see someone talking abt cait

cait has done bad things,, quite a few bad things actually. she was a literal DICTATOR and yall defending her saying "b-but she was grieving! it's not her fault she was sad her mom died!!" if i see one more mf say this im gonna tweak. WHY CANT YOU JUST ACCEPT SHE WAS IN THE WRONG? you don't need to defend her every action!! it's the entire point of the show. caitlyn is a character WITH FLAWS and has done things that cannot be justified. even cait realizes how her obsession with jinx has consumed her entire life when she talks to jinx in the cell, saying that while loathing jinx for what she did she loathed herself even more. basically saying she hated herself and her unhealthy obsession with capturing jinx!! realizing her mistakes(abandoning vi, joining ambessa, sleeping with maddie just to fill the empty hole in her heart) she makes an attempt to make up for it in the jail scene with vi. everyone may say that scene was unessecary and very "out of nowhere" but i think the timing of that scene couldn't be better. cait holding/placing her hand onto the place she hit vi and kind of gently tracing her fingers around the area is her way of apologizing and vi sees this and accepts her apology by immediately pulling her into her arms. vi could've pushed her away and screamed and yelled at her for everything but she realizes that cait has changed, but she's changed because she wants to and makes an effort to improve herself. not every action can be justified but cait sees this and knows this and takes an opportunity to be better. she was wrong for doing what she did even if she didn't mean it. actions will always speak louder than anything else. if you intend to do something but never do it, what's the point? if the character can realize her own flaws and how they effect her, why can't the fandom lol
