All he saw was red.

A drop of deep ruby, her presence immediately stains his everyday grey t-shirt, and no matter how abrasive he got, she just wouldn’t let go. Full-bodied, strong and just a little too astringent for his taste, she nonetheless offered the familiarity of home in the oaky finish of her well-balanced structure, and despite being adamant of her colour before, he soon craved more and more with every sip to subsist in the crimson that is she.

And oh, how she matured into his favourite wine.

An odd paradox, she satiates his chiliad thirst for intoxication where none before has ever come so close to succeeding and still, at the same time, in being inebriated of her burgundy, she fills him to the brim with absolutely nothing else but clarity. And so it seems for the very first time, he finally chances an out from the liminality of his cyclical orbit, so much so that he douses in no further hesitation his grey everyday in bottles and bottles of her mahogany.

All he ever wants to keep seeing is red.
