the moment i found a friend i could confide in about sylvia's 5d's verse i buried them in mountains of text that i've been holding onto for like three to four years.

At the start of liveblogging, I'm on episode 36! Here's what I know so far, it's a lot lmao

The Satellite is a shitty place to live, New Domino is kinda seen as paradise to the people who live in the Satellite. It's kinda Just A City tho

Yusei Fudo, our protagonist, and Jack Atlas both grew up in the Satellite, Yusei has some(VERY UNDERRATED I LOVE THEM SO MUCH GUYS YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW) friends who also live there

Yusei and Jack are "former friends" THEY WERE DATING YOUR HONOR

Anyway Jack stole Yusei's bike and ace card and booked it to the city and became a Big Cool Important duelist

Yusei finally gets there and duels Jack for revenge only to have it get interrupted by a big red fuckoff dragon and Yusei gets dragged off to Superjail where he's branded as a criminal

He gets released early bc Goodwin, the Dictator Director of the city or whatever, decides he can. His friends that he made are released shortly after! Yay!! They're great I love them

Oh yeah while Yusei's in jail, Goodwin introduces Jack to his Definitely-Not-A-Cult

Yusei tries to steal his bike back from the cops. He succeeds but crashes into an apartment complex and gets temporary amnesia

A couple of kids, Leo and Luna, find him ptfo'd by their back door and decide to take him in. Dueling fixes his amnesia for some reason

The bitchass clown-lookin cop threatens to hurt Yusei's friends if he doesn't participate in Goodwin's duel monsters tournament

Yusei has a run in with "The Black Rose" and nearly dies bc of magically real duel monsters

Tournament arc!! Leo pretends to be his sister, Luna has an out of body experience, The Black Rose is Akiza and she's literally the quiet kid but she may also be in a cult?? Goodwin almost gets assassinated and I'm pissed it didn't succeed, Yusei punches some guys

Turns out Jack's known Goodwin's nuts for a while now lmao but he gets to duel Yusei so he doesn't care(GAY)

Their duel turns into Definitely Not A Shadow Game. Yusei wins and Jack is hospitalized

Paparazzi makes Yusei and his friends hide

There's a mind control cult now

Carly is a fucking gem!! She's also most definitely a lesbian!! Shame I've been told she dies

Yusei's back in the Satellite again to try and take down the mind control cult. Also Crow Hogan beloved

Apparently Crow, Jack, and Yusei used to be in a gang with this Kalin Kessler guy but now Kalin's with the mind control cult

Jack is there??? In a helicopter?? I don't know how relevant this is I just wanted to point out that there were several points during this part where he looked about ready to JUMP OR FALL OUT OF THE THING

Yusei crashed and got impaled :(
