What artists are you listening to right now?

Bryson Andres on loop. I’m on an instrumental musical kick and I love it.

Favourite comfort book, movie, etc?

Honestly if I’m just trying to watch something entertaining and mindless I’ll watch a rerun of Last Week Tonight cause it’s both educational and swears a lot, which I appreciate. If we’re talking book though, @upagainstabookcase‘s Poets is something I reread a lot if I’m tired. Got it downloaded on my phone and everything!

Favourite activity in whatever the winter weather is in your climate?

I added a u because I was in Pain

FLEECE SHEETS. I love winter because I can put fleece sheets on my bed and sleep basically with blankets all around me. Smother me in blankets.

Favourite cheesy self-care activity?

Taking out romance novels and reading like three in a day because I have library cards for four separate libraries and I am unstoppable. (I recommend Alyssa Cole to start out with. Or Courtney Milan. If anyone wanted to go looking.)

Winter headcanon for your favourite ship(s) or character(s)?

Jadzia absolutely prefers winter to summer. Snow is scientifically fascinating and Trills do not deal well with heat.

Current WIP (any fanwork type) you’re most excited about?

COUNTERBALANCE!!!!!

It’s a sister fic to Otherwise Occupied. Basically taking similar themes and the same original premise (what if both Kira and Jadzia were on the same planet and not on DS9?) and made it about being on Trill instead! It includes things like: taking down governments, making out, and arguments about how old is too old to drink coffee. 

I am. SO. Excited to be working on it honestly. I’ll probably post about it a little more when I get closer to finishing! But in the meantime, have two intriguing paragraphs. 

“Bajoran, right?” Jadzia took another sip of her ale, her throat going numb. Most alcohols seemed to warm the drinker, but this one froze them. It was a new experience. After all, wasn’t that what she was for? “What brings you out here?”

Kira looked Jadzia in the eyes, her gaze cold and clear and burning. “The Federation’s truth or mine?”
