Bokuto Koutarou

bokuto feels guilty.

he is aware that you were excited about valentine's day. you have an outfit set in mind and you even have a whole itinerary ready, but in the last minute he had to bail out.

three weeks ago, a surprise televised match against the msby was announced by their coach. unfortunately, it lands on valentine's day so all plans for that day are cancelled because the team needs him.

and you know that, in fact, you have no problem with it. although you were excited about spending the whole day with him you understood the situation. precisely why you are here at the court supporting your boyfriend.

but today bokuto seemed a little different. all of his attention is poured into the game. his gameplay is more refined than usual. he barely jokes and pull a smile. he isn't as energetic and playful when giving high fives to hinata nor he reacts to atsumu's banters.

he only had one goal in mind and that is to finish the game as soon as possible.

that being said, the game ended quickly than you expected. msby wins against the other team leaving a huge gap in the final set. after the team lined up and thanked the crowd, bokuto immediately scans the audience to search for you. his mouth is curled up and he squints his eyes at each person sitting in the crowd.

and when he sees you, he draws his arm up in the air. his forefinger pointing towards you and the rest of his digits coiled.

"go out with me." his voice reveberates within the room, overpowering the chatters and white noises.

the unexpected act of the spiker made the whole crowd and his team ooh in the sudden spark of romance. the cameras turn to you and him, capturing a rare side of the famous spiker with his significant other. the latter still has his eyes on you, unbothered by the uncalled attention he pulled.

and the next thing you know you're part of the sports headline.
