#dimension 20#starstruck odyssey#just like. the moment where he finally figures out how to open his eyes#and he sees the stars for the first time#HE'S FULL OF WONDER. AND ZEST FOR LIFE.#i'm intrigued by the skipper's backstory and what was done to him in the space brigade#but i dunno it's just like. the skipper was someone who hated everything around him#and getting brainjacked has.. kind of allowed him to actually feel that joy and wonder he's missed out on#and skip loves being a pilot.#i really want the skipper and skip to be able to like.. have a conversation in the mindspace#i wanna know how concious the skipper is all this time#i wanna know like. cerebroslugs are fluid. who they are melds with who's brain they live in. it's a survival mechanism#to be able to mimic the person they're controlling#but skip is remembering pieces of the skippers life and it feels like they're his own memories#he's unearthing buried and forgotten desires#i think that the skipper used to love the stars. dreamt of piloting. but he became so desentized to whimsy and wonder#and skip brings (kind of literally) a pair of fresh eyes#it's such an interesting take on like. a body-jacking#i also made a dnd character in the past that was like. an 'evil' war robot decommissioned and repurposed as a sweet girlrobot#but the first conciousness was still there#and they had to figure out how to navigate eachother#especially as. as first. the original consciousness was very busy in constant screaming rage#but i wrote that eventually they managed to talk. and i wrote that you're not less deserving of your body and your mind#if you've done bad things#and if you work at it. it's possible for anyone to change and grow as long as there is room to do it#so they can share the body#i'm normal abt this
