do you have any favorite words or sayings in ikantal?

ooooh!!! this is a neat question. here are some words i just like because they sound nice: mài (ocean-blue), yukunša (sweet), minyen (to enter), uve (war) and najauy (a kind of coffee-like drink)

sayings are a lot harder,,,, 

yafiten thishi sa ghash means “to give ash to fire”, or like…to make a really costly and pointless sacrifice? yà nyemweu nyemhukžau is one that means that what doesn’t speak doesn’t lie. there’s also i garta haver hes yada i tekuy emor: the claw forgets what the flesh/body remembers. all v dramatic 7/10
