Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.

I'm watching breaking bad for the first time, and I really can't stand Walter. Like what as asshole. But if I'm being honest, if I'd watched even just a few years ago I think my smooth brain would have seen him as the underdog hero.

Guys. Guys please. We have to remember that protagonist is not a stand in word for hero and antagonist is not a stand in word for villain. Please. We learned this in middle school. The protagonist is the character the audience follows. The antagonist is the character who is working against the protagonist.

Imagine you are a duckling, but you're not very good at it.

You're not pretty and yellow and graceful like your siblings, like the other ducklings you see swimming and walking around. Also, when you try to talk to them, they don't seem to understand. You can understand them, because they are speaking in the only language you have ever heard spoken, but when you try to speak it it doesn't come out right. It's like there's something wrong with your throat.

Your parents, your siblings, tell you to make more of an effort to fit in, so you do. You watch the other ducklings and do your utmost to copy them exactly: the way they move, the noises they make. There's not much you can do about your weird gray down or your bizarre, ungainly shape, but everything you can do to fit in, to get along, you do.

You're still not very good at it, but you're trying. Maybe you'll get better at it as you grow up. Maybe if you work really, really hard, someday, you'll be a good duck.

But in actual fact, it just gets worse as you grow. Your neck starts elongating grotesquely, unnaturally. When your grown-up feathers start to come in, they're not even the ugly dirty gray your down was; they're ghastly white, like sun-bleached bone. You get bigger and bigger, much bigger than any grownup duck you've ever seen; you turn into a hideous, deformed giant, towering over your horrified parents. They don't understand what they did wrong to make you turn out like this.

And then, one day, for the first time, swimming miserably across the lake, with your big ugly clumsy white body, you see a pair of adult swans.

And you say very quietly to yourself, in your strange ugly rasping voice (you're suddenly wondering how those birds sound when they talk)...

... oh.

Pomefiore was the last plot i follow before real life made me forget about our silly boys. How bad has the plot become now for our gang? Also who is that Gojo looking guy?

anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.

also, episode 7 gave us (and then immediately took away 😔) the best character in the whole story:
