So I posted this on reddit and it turns out that I was kind of right? Astrea was abused by humans, and she bore a child from the one who saved her (most likely the beast as Mikael implied). Astrea says she doesn't know "what" Malek is but Malek wanted her to really believe that he was her son. AND because of everything his mother went through, maybe he's indeed trying to create a "better" world for Astrea and avenge his mother by going against immortals because Shepha and the others never helped her.

Not to be dramatic, but I'm kind of obsessed with 'And the haze will take us'. Like I'm already so invested in this story and it's been here for only two updates. The atmosphere of it, the dark, heavy plot mixed with loser mc, who's trying to navigate through the oppressive reality without her beloved sister... it's hard to pinpoint the exact moment I got invested in this story, but at this point I just can't help but waiting for the next episodes.

I think huge part of my obsession comes from the dynamics between mc and lis. On one hand these relationships are all unique, on the other none of them is easy. Everyone has their own bunch of problems and conflicts and nobody treats mc like a priority, which is completely valid. She's a girl-failure, after all, who's been keeping to herself her entire life. And she's aware of it, which makes it even more interesting. Lis are not here only for the sake of being lis, they all are characters first and I appreciate that deeply.

Besides plot and characters I also looove the soundtrack and outfits. There is nothing better than dressing my mc up in airy dresses 😍

Playing The Haze makes me feel like I’m just flailing around while my MC gets tossed around like a glorified punching bag. Either she’s being used like a tool by her so-called allies, or she’s getting verbally and physically harassed by her neighbors for no reason other than being a dirty shepherdess with no friends. Sooooo after the reveal that Ezel is not my sweet angel baby Hasan I had a fucking revelation.

Laia, Leo, and Sandra are the only reincarnations

Think about it, what do they all have in common? That's right us, we're the Azure soul and it's confirmed in canon that all of our LIs are bound to us. Leo/Aslan being our heavenly protector because if you remember the Azure are the most pure beings who are born on earth to help heal or whatever and if you manage to capture an Azure soul you essentially got a cheat code to unlimited power. And Sandra/Alexandra is spiritually bound to Vlad and us (also to protect us but mostly to guide Vlad on his way to the throne)

So let me actually explain my revelation. When it came out that Mephis is actually Ezel (ew ☹️) it got thinking why, if he's also a reincarnation, why isn't he having the same experiences as us? Further more, why is he here? Think about, we automatically reincarnated (we still have a job to do ppl), Leo -our protector- also automatically reincarnates, Sandra -bound to us- automatically reincarnates.

Why would Hasan, a person who died in the beginning before Lale's light could properly manifest and someone who we helped cross over need to reincarnate?

This bitch is going to try and get us to give him our soul to save Vlad's (first of all how fucking dare you!?!). Because if you remember the Councilor told us that you can't just take a soul, it has to be given, this is how he's going to get our soul.

This motherfucker stole my man's face to get us to trust him.

Then we get to the coincidences of the fact that no one but him knows the true contents of his contract with Vlad and not skipping over the fact that Vlad still has his soul.

We died before he could take our soul. Probably because Mehmed. If you decided to save our baby cousin (or you were like me and said fuck 'dem kids) he couldn't fulfill the contract or try to make a new one so what's the next best thing? Going after my fucking man best friend, the only other living person who has a piece of our light in them.

So he makes a deal, one so specific it will lead him right to the person he wants. Unfortunately for him my man is smart (get fucked) his plan backfires and he's imprisoned being tortured for 600 years until a certain Procul pays him a visit.

Now what does any of this have to do with Mehmed, idfk he's not on my radar at the moment but trust he is important... not to me though.
