"hey so like, i know you finished the final exam and passed, and we told you that was the end of the academic year for you, but actually you need to answer these papers real quick and fill out these forms that we didn't tell you was a requirement until right now." and what if i killed myself, dave? what then. hm?
#unjortsposting#i can't end it all i need to see my blorbos#unfortunately.#im being dramatic#in a half joking way#it's just frustrating#these papers aren't even grammatically correct#i'm giving them a pass because they're overworked and underpaid#but that doesn't mean i won't bitch about it in my own time#a little warning in advance would've been nice.

This. Oh my god. This.
Especially that bit about "you used to be able to do it." Like, well, Norma, sure, but that was BEFORE the anxiety turned into OCD turned into anorexia, thanks. Anxiety partly brought on by my teachers expecting me to know how to do everything on my own, I might add.* I seriously had to start passing out in the hallway on a regular basis before they asked me if anything was "going on." And then their solution was to kick me out, but in a ✨caring✨ way. Best thing that ever happened to me, by the way. I homeschooled all the way through high school, and it was amazing.
*Note: I'm not trying to say my teachers were horrible, or that everything was their fault, btw. The school system fucks teachers over just as badly as it does the students. Most of them genuinely love kids, and love teaching, but they're overworked and underpaid, and they just don't have the time or resources to give every kid the attention they need. So naturally the "gifted" kids who can "handle stuff on their own" are the ones that get thrown under the bus, because they're quiet and don't "need as much."
people misunderstand what ‘gifted kid’ actually means but it’s ok it’s fine it’s cool it’s good
