apparently i am incapable of writing fluff. yesterday i was all 'oh lets plot out that cute old self indulgent fic idea i had about an oc with healing powers joining the batfamily <3' and then when i actually started laying out a timeline it was all trauma and angst and moral struggles. like sure lets put her father in a coma and have her scream cruel things at people she half fears half loves and engage in high risk behaviors while the adults just watch and have her throw away everything to kill a man for someone who didn't want any of that.
i was the kind of person that tortured barbies as a kid and it shows lol

My WIPs at the Moment
Thank you for tagging me @imwithyoutiltheendofthelinebucky and @eclecticwildflowers.
I have three stories that I'm currently working on. Those being Sugar Baby, He Won't Hurt You, and Space Oddity. Here's snippets from the chapters I've been working on.

Sugar Baby
(for @movieexpert1978, @writingkitten, and @freddiefredfive)

"I love you, Alicia," he declared as his hips kept moving in tandem with hers.
"I love you too, Lou," she whined as he began to hit her G-spot. "I love you so much. I'm sorry for leaving you. I'll never leave you again. I promise."
"I know you won't," he assured before he met her lips in another passionate kiss. "I know you'll never leave me again..."
His voice just lingered in the void after that, while his beloved slowly faded away from his sight.
Then he realized, once again, that it was all a dream...
A dream that stem from his disappointment of her not answering his constant texts and calls earlier.
Geez, he was pathetic.
But he didn't open his eyes again until he felt a tap on his shoulder. Suddenly, he jumped up before he saw his wife standing behind where he was sitting.
A trail of drool stained his shirt while his legs were noticeably still pacing up and down before he finally stopped them.
"Louie, are you okay?," Wanda asked with a very concerned tone. "Were you having another nightmare? Your legs were moving a lot."
"Yeah," he quickly lied before he held his head. "Sorry for scaring you, Wanda."
His wife softly smiled at him in response, before she walked over and sat by him.
To his surprise, she also grabbed his hand and squeezed it in a comforting manor.
"It's alright, Louie," she started after she pushed a loose hair from his face. "I'm just glad you're okay. I'm sorry for earlier. I had enough time to think and I now realize that I was wrong and I should have been more mindful of your feelings..."
"No, no, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted that way," he started before he moved his hand from hers and caressed her face. "I was just jealous. I foolishly thought you played that record to spite me or something. It made me think you're falling out of love with me. I realize now that it was dumb to feel that way. There's nothing wrong with you liking a song from your past and you're right, Jamie was a part of that. There's nothing I can do to change that..."
"Oh, Louie," Wanda cooed. "I would never leave you. You're my heart and my soul. Yes, I'll always have feelings for Jamie but you're the love of my life and nothing will ever change that. I love you so much, Louis William Wheeler."
"I love you too, Wanda Marie Feldman," Lou declared before they embraced and kissed.
"Say, how about we make up properly?" Wanda suggested after they parted.
Lou only responded with a smile before he followed his wife upstairs to their bedroom.

He Won't Hurt You

Like most mornings in Orlando, it was beaming hot already, so Bobby made sure to put the A/C on full blast. And you were thankful for that since your A/C in your car was still broken. It was just nice to feel the cool air against your skin again.
Bobby, meanwhile, was singing along with an old Van Halen track you were vaguely familiar with. You didn't know the lyrics, but you did know the chord progression. But that was because it took you back to your childhood when your dad would constantly play old rock music.
It was a nice passing thought, but Bobby's passionate crooning and adorableness distracted you from it.
You just couldn't help but look at him. He was practically glowing against the intense sunlight and it was just so cute to see him so happy.
Of course, he eventually noticed you staring at him and smirked at you once he stopped at the red light.
"Are you staring at me or admiring me?" he curiously asked.
"Both," you softly answered before you leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You're just so dang cute."
He blushed before saying,
"Thank you," he said before asking, "Am I still going straight or...?"
"Yep. You're gonna turn left on Vine St. at the next light."
"Oh, you live at the The Vine?" he asked with a disgusted look on his face.
"What's wrong? Are you scared?"
He laughed.
"No, I'm not scared. I just didn't realize you lived in such a run down area. I'm glad you're moving out now."
"Wow, Bobby," you playfully scoffed. "You know, not everyone makes motel manager money."
"Nev, you know I didn't mean it like that. I just care about your safety and a girl like you deserves more than that."
"Don't I know it? But it's all me and my ex could afford," you remarked. "But I'm glad to be moving out too. Your house is way nicer than where I'm coming from, as you alluded to."
He chuckled to himself, before taking the left turn like you told him too.
Your apartment complex was on the left side of the road adjacent to a small three-way intersection. So after he made it pass that, he drove into the entrance before following your instructions on where to go next.
It took another two turns before he ended up parking right in front of your second-floor apartment.
His eyes moved right to the balcony and sliding door after. He observed how ripped and tattered the cheap vertical blinds were, how dirty the glass was on the doors, and the cheap furniture on your porch.
He didn't want to upset you though, so he decided to at least compliment the furniture.
"Nice balcony you have here," he chirped.
"Thanks, I think," you replied. "You do know that's just cheap ass old patio furniture, right? My ex got those from the back of his cousin's pickup and called himself refurbishing it. It looks even worst up close."
"If I didn't hate him, I would commend his resourcefulness," he said before you giggled.
"I think you mean cheapness," you huffed before you unbuckled your belt and got out of his Jeep. "Let's go. The blinds are open which means he's at work now."
"Ma'am, yes ma'am," he teased before you laughed.
Quickly, he got out of his seatbelt and car too before locking it. Then he walked over to your side and took your hand.
"Lead the way," he said as he captured your lips in a soft kiss.

Space Oddity

"Well, you picked a good day to try out your human legs again. It's beautiful out."
"It is," he chirped. "And I love the ambiance."
"You mean the birds chirping?"
He smiled you.
"Of course. You have such beautiful and interesting fauna on Earth."
"Yeah, we do. But I wish I had more time to enjoy it," you moaned, totally ignoring Saaltar's absence from your side. He noticed a nearby flower bush and picked one of them, before walking back over by you.
You blinked before you noticed he was now standing in front of you with the flower in his hand. You giggled and carefully took it from him, before you put it in your hair.
"Thanks, Saal. You're too sweet."
"I did that right?"
"Yes, yes you did. Humans do exchange gifts to show love, and flowers are a great gift," you explained before you took his hand and lead him to behind an apple tree.
You looked around to make sure the coast was clear then looked back at Saaltar who looked utterly confused.
"Why did you bring me here...under this...what do you call these again?"
"An apple tree," you replied before you leaned into his chest and took his lips in a very soft kiss.
His face became blushed red again before he let out a cheeky little giggle.
"I thought we couldn't show affection in public?"
"We can't. That's why I bought you back here. I wanted to give you a kiss in exchange for the flower you gave me."
"Oh I see. The flower can earn a kiss from an object of affection."
"Exactly!" you cheered before an apple fell and fit him on the head.
"Oww, what was that?" he asked as he held his head in pain.
"It's an apple," you softly explained. "An apple is a fruit and a fruit is a healthy, sweet treat that humans eat as a snack or a substitute for an unhealthy sweet."
"So it's a good nourishment for human bodies?"
"Yes, exactly right. It gives a lot of energy like most fruits and vegetables. Humans grow them on farms, which are long stretches of land that grows healthy food as well as meat and dairy."
He nodded to show that he understood before he picked it up and handed it to you to eat.
"Then I give this apple to you as a gift," he chirped. "Will you eat it for me? I would like to learn how you consume it."
You laughed.
"Okay," you said before you took the apple from him. Swiftly, you bit down on the shinest side of the fruit twice to expose the seeds.
Saaltar looked intrigued by the display, apparent by the bulge of his pupils. But he stayed quiet, anticipating your next word.
"I eat apples with the skin on, but some humans have to peel the skin off before eating it. Also, as you observed, I bite into it whole but sometimes I also cut this fruit into slices. Either way, the nutrients are still abound and nourishes my body properly."
He only smiled at you in response, before he noticed the seeds.
"What are those? Do you eat them too?" he curiously asked.
"These are the seeds...which the apple grows from," you started. "But no, I can't eat them. They're poisonous to humans, meaning it will kill me if I consume it."
"Then what do you do with them after eating the fruit?"
"I usually just scatter them in the grass. But most humans just toss it out with the core once they're done," you replied after you took the last bite of the apple. Then you held the core up to Saaltar in your palm. "Would you like to do the honors?"
"Yes," he chirped before he eagerly took the core from your palm. His eyes moved around it, observing every little detail before he pinched one of the seeds from where it was lodged.
Carefully, he moved it in between his fingers and squeezed it just to feel the texture and density of it. Then he finally threw it in the grass before doing the same with the other ones.
You reveled in how happy he was while spreading the seeds around in the grass. He was glowing, his normal smile beaming in the sunlight while he kept giggling like a giddy schoolgirl.
But then he pouted once he was out of seeds.
"I guess I'm out of seeds," he moaned. "Well, it was fun while it lasted."
"Would you like me to eat another apple?"
"No, it's okay," he assured you. "Let's complete our journey to the cafeteria."
"Okay," you replied after you tossed the core.
