#i'm curious: have all of these asks about mihawk and/or mishanks come from the same anon?

Do you think Mihawk and shanks will join forces in the end and fight together? Will they become closer than are now? Im assuming they’re some kind of friends rn.

I wonder what do you think of their future, I mean what’s the other reason to inform us how they fought back in the day? Why make it obvious that they party together? Why make shanks successful persuade to actually spend time with the other? Why make Mihawk back off when shanks came to Marineford? Why so many little tiny details about them here and there if they will not be close by the end?

What are your thoughts? I really want them to be around each other and I don’t see other reason to make those events, why else?

i have no idea what they're gonna be like in the end-end, but i have to believe something is gonna happen there before one piece is finished. (as I have discussed previously, when mihawk questions come my way.) like. truly, the "shanks is arriving, so mihawk's leaving" bit is just teasing readers, hanging the potential of their dynamic just out of reach!

…which is weird, because the first time we see shanks in present day is an interaction with mihawk. so why did we need to have their dynamic teased to us? i have to assume it's because there's something more to their dynamic than "former rivals who're friendly enough to sit down for a drink together."

now, i don't feel like we know mihawk or shanks well enough for me to speculate on what that different dynamic could be. i'm just vividly aware of that assumption i've made, hanging over my head like the sword of damocles, whenever one mentions the other.
