i think so many people live in fear of being called out on tumblr dot com for being like, a fictional boy-liker because they don't engage with any sort of feminist praxis outside of fandom shipping and that's how you get people acting like they're doing charity work by liking a female character on an aesthetic level. i have more respect for people who just admit to kinning dave when they were 14 than i do for people who think lukewarm engagement with idk dave/jade/kat is the ward they need to protect them from accusations of fandom misogyny
