i'm only up to city of glass, but simon's arc has really made me wonder: what would simon have said to becoming a shadowhunter if he'd been given the offer with all his memories intact? (i mean, obviously barring the fact that losing his vampirism went hand in hand with his amnesia) i feel like he'd want the opportunity to stay close to isabelle and clary, but also... considering how harshly he's treated in those early months, and how often he feels like an afterthought to everyone up until that final book... thinking about how he calls the shadowhunters a cult in coa before he's Turned... i just wonder what his answer would have been if he'd been like cohf-edom-era simon when he got that offer
