I was wondering - who are your top 5 TV characters right now? Do you have any TV show recommendations for stuff you've watched recently? I'm in something of a TV rut and trying to coax myself out. Thank you!
Oh man!
My top 5 TV characters may be a little different than they were last time I thought about this. I would have to say currently it's Julia Wicker (The Magicians), Donna Noble (Doctor Who), Britta Perry (Community), Ro Laren (Star Trek: TNG) and... Zuko, maybe? Julian Bashir? That fifth slot is so hard to pin down.
Unfortunately I've also been in a bit of a TV rut lately, but I can come up with a few shows from the past few years that I've really enjoyed.
Severance: I think everyone in the world has recommended this, but it's so unbelievably good, while also being extremely funny and watchable. Trippy near-future sci-fi starring Adam Scott. Season one is only 9 episodes, so it's not a big commitment. (Apple TV+)
Yellowjackets: Very fucked up, so don't watch unless you're cool with a lot of violence and cannibalism. Digs into trauma and the complexities of teen girl friendship, but is also just incredibly pulpy and weird. Stars Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, and Tawny Cypress. Season two currently airing. (Paramount+/Showtime)
Midnight Mass: An eight-episode miniseries from the same team that made The Haunting of Hill House. Very contemplative, emotional horror. Themes of religion, hypocrisy, and mortality. The central conceit of this one is so cool to figure out in real-time that I'm not gonna say too much more, but this is legitimately my favorite thing that Netflix has ever produced. (Netflix)
The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself: Already canceled, but the first season wraps up reasonably well. Urban fantasy about warring witch societies, with some cool ideas and very likeable actors. More-or-less canonical polyamorous relationship at the center. (Netflix)
Assorted Other Not-Necessarily-Recent Shows: Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street (astonishingly good live-action kids show on Amazon Prime, two seasons); Legacies (final show in the TVD-verse, similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer in tone and execution, four seasons); Cobra Kai (intentionally over-the-top follow-up series to the already over-the-top Karate Kid movies, ongoing); 9-1-1 (watch if you enjoy the idea of a disaster movie every fifth episode followed by four Lifetime movies, ongoing); Looking for Alaska (very good miniseries adaptation of the book on Hulu); American Vandal (extremely funny and well-made true crime parody, two seasons); ER (it lasted a million seasons and covered every conceivable tone, and the first seven seasons are all-time great TV); Tangled The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (follow-up series to Tangled that I can only describe as "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for kids," three seasons); Farscape (weird brilliant sci-fi that everyone should give a shot at least once, four seasons).

Yo!! Hello!!! I am like 90% sure I've seen you post about dimension 20 before!!
I just got a dropout subscription and I'm thriving but I am looking for advice for where to start/go with the dnd-verse on it? I'm assuming that the separate campaigns are relatively stand-alone but I would love an opinion (or just input on what the actual chronology is lmao)
hehe sleeper phrase discovered i'm honored you came to me :)
so the first thing to know which you probably already do is that there is a main returning cast for some seasons, and then some campaigns are a different group with an occasional different dm. the Intrepid Heroes are Lou Wilson, Zac Oyama, Brian Murphy, Ally Beardsley, Siobhan Thompson, and Emily Axford with Brennan Lee Mulligan dming, so they play as that exact group multiple times. There's usually one or two of them in a non-main-cast campaign, too, including Brennan sometimes as a player when somebody else is dming.
So! In terms of watch order! I recommend starting with Fantasy High because it's the original campaign and also fantastic. There are currently two seasons, Fantasy High and Fantasy High: Sophomore Year, and they are both masterpieces. We're also getting Junior Year this winter which is extremely exciting for me personally because I Love Fantasy High lol. Fantasy High is a great starting point especially if you're new to dnd/dnd actual play shows (which you may not be so feel free to disregard this bit of advice lol) because multiple players are learning how to play in the first season, so there's plenty of opportunity to learn with them. It's also generally pretty light-hearted and funny, though it doesn't sacrifice story for comedy which I love. If you don't know, the concept of Fantasy High is that these young teenagers live in a world where everywhere else is a stereotypical fantasy world but their country is like. Classic high school Americana. It's silly, the characters are great, the storylines are great and only get better in Sophomore Year, it's an all around great time and great intro to D20!
I went right from Fantasy High to Unsleeping City, which is also fantastic (you'll notice a recurring theme here, I love every campaign I've watched so far lol). If you like the lighter parts of Fantasy High but want a little bit more tension, Unsleeping City is perfect. It's set in modern-day New York with a twist: there's a magical underside to the city. Lots of fantastic commentary on modern life in the storytelling that slaps, I won't spoil but it slaps, and also really wonderful characters! Unsleeping City also has two seasons, so you get to see the characters grow and change a lot over two full plotlines which is very fun!
If you like the more serious side of things, my personal favorite D20 campaign is A Crown of Candy. I watched this third and it made me cry hard enough at work that my boss asked if I was okay lol. The set-up is simple: fantasy world made of food, but make it Game of Thrones. It's intense, the stakes are high from episode one, it's incredibly character driven and everybody plays really, really interesting characters, and because of how high-stakes it is, every payoff is just insane. We all talk about Ally's poetic nat 20s and believe me, they exist, but Mr. Lou Wilson (love of my life) has a nat 20 near the end of A Crown of Candy that genuinely made me feel so crazy when it happened that I had to take a walk lol. Cannot recommend it enough, it's devastating and perfect.
A Starstruck Odyssey is really good again if you like the lighter end of thing but still want stakes and tension! The world is based of comics that Brenna's mom wrote which is really sweet, and it's a very different vibe because is sci-fi instead of pure fantasy, which is honestly really fun. Some of the characters are up there on my favorites list, shoutout to Skipper and Sundry Sydney!
In terms of the campaigns that aren't Intrepid Heroes, the first one I listened to was Misfits and Magic, which is a Harry Potter spoof dmed by Abria Ayangar, who's fantastic, and featuring Brennan as an utterly unhinged in the best way player. There's also Mice and Murder, which is a super great mystery with anthropomorphic animals that was shot on zoom over the first lockdown (a few seasons were so don't be shocked by that lol). I'm a bit more than halfway through A Court of Fey and Flowers which has been great so far, and I'm super looking forward to getting to The Ravening War, which is a prequel to A Crown of Candy, and Mentoplis, as well as the current season, Burrow's End. I have to watch Neverafter first though, which is the most recent Intrepid Heroes campaign.
Anyway! To summarize!
My advice is to start with Fantasy High and Fantasy High: Sophomore Year, and then pick which elements you liked best to decide what you want next! All of the campaigns that aren't explicitly linked are completely standalone, like I'm not missing anything important from the one's I've watched by not having watched some of the others, so don't worry too much about chronology or anything like that! The only ones that need to be watched in a specific order are the two with two seasons already, which are Fantasy High and Unsleeping City, but those are labelled quite clearly with season titles! Also if it's easier to keep track of, Dropout has the campaigns sorted into their own shows on the site so you don't have to choose seasons of D20, you can just choose A Crown of Candy.
PLEASE update me as you watch! I love love love talking D20 lol it's one of my favorite shows like ever!!

i see youve been posting a lot of dnd stuff recently and i would like to ask what it is and where i can watch it. cause theres a couple dnd shows (?) that ive been meaning to get into but i dont know where to start
HI WELCOME TO SPECIAL INTEREST LAND!
for terminology reference
actual-play: a show where people play ttrpgs for an audience-- very self-explanatory name
ttrpg: tabletop roleplaying game! this encompass a huge variety of game systems, including dungeons & dragons
most of what i post is dimension 20, which i tag with #d20. it's an anthology format, so most of the seasons are set in independently-standing settings. most campaigns are done with dnd, but there's been other ttrpg systems used as well
there are three seasons available on youtube: fantasy high season 1, unsleeping city season 1, and escape from the bloodkeep. i've seen all of them, i recommend all of them, and i can absolutely elaborate on their settings if you'd like
past that, the rest (of which there's loads of; this upcoming season is their 20th) is hosted on dropout, which is a subscription of about $6 USD monthly. you'll also get dropout's other content, like game changer and make some noise (among others, all tagged #dropout.tv) and loads of older collegehumor content as well!
next up, because i can't not mention it, is critical role. by far the actual-play show behemoth, it's been running for over 7 years now, and most of their stuff is set in the same, unbelievably expansive world of exandria (the wiki is huge too. i like to wander around in it from time to time just to witness the sheer amount of worldbuilding and lore that goes into it)
they stream their episodes on twitch, and then upload them to youtube on a couple days delay. you can also watch the twitch vods immediately after streaming if you purchase a subscription to their twitch, but everything ends up free-to-access on their youtube so it's not a necessity
critical role has two completed main campaigns and a third ongoing (all with different parties), and they each have episode counts of 100+. i don't really watch them so much as i hang out with friends who do and enjoy it secondhand, because try as i might, it's a lot! but if you want to start there, i'd recommended starting at campaign two: the mighty nein, because they're, to my knowledge, the most popular of the three, and because the first campaign started as a home game and thus starts streaming a little ways into the campaign
they also have a bunch of smaller side campaigns, a number of of which are also set in exandria, and two animated shows on amazon prime: the legend of vox machina, starring the campaign 1 crew, and mighty nein, starring the party of campaign 2. i don't know a whole lot about what's going on with those, but i'd wager they're decent entry points too
alongside those, critical role has candela obscura, chapter two of which is currently airing and which i am watching. this uses their own system of the same name, and is set in a fun little world of eldritch horrors. both chapters are set in the same world, but at different times and with different player characters, so you don't need to watch the first to watch the second
the other stuff i post is a lot of branching out from there! i can get into the vast web more, but this is a lot already, so i'm just going to give my two favorites (and the once i can vouch for quality myself): dnd chaos from roll20, and battle for beyond from dndbeyond. both of these are available on youtube for free, and are incredible. innumerable stars, highly recommended

Kaity rewatches/Liveblogs Ratfish! (Part 1)
Spoilers under the cut!
Okay, I guess also non-spoilers slash rambling under the cut. Have to do a few after work things first, then it's time for a Game Changer re-watch (part 1) and NEW Game Changer (part 2)! Woo!
♡ the immediate chaos of ally omg
♡ oh yeah. I've already seen Katie's billboard (pictures of), so I guess we know she won something 😂
♡ GranNma sWeetie right out the door. I love it
♡ is Katie's just a long dig at Sam? Omg
♡ did I just break my glasses? Fucking grant
♡ "He's a bad guy." "I'm describing the person I'd like to be." Grant! Grant.
♡ okay, yeah. After the smartypants episode, Jess's is not surprising at all.
♡ omg, Katie talking to her computer and expecting it to talk back 🤣
♡ A BUG WITH A BIG ASS
♡ okay, but the strategy here is 1000000% Brennan! Brennnan is trying to not be Brennan and ends up being more Brennan what a journey, truly
♡ damn, even Rekha thinks this is Rekha
♡ who's a little goober?
♡ the fucking editing on this is fucking brilliant
♡ why do they all sound like fucking Beardsly? Good question, Zac
♡ the complete and utter chaos that is ally fucking beardsly pretending to be Brennan is just... chef's kiss
♡ OH! They were trying to figure out if the public knew about IsaBaby Roland! That's why there's a weird pause with the twooooo? Cats?
♡ still a fucking work of genius god I love ally
♡ oh yeah. There's the person I don't know. The bio is pretty fucking cool though.
♡ IT DOES SOUND LIKE VIC OR BRENNAN
♡ ally was so on their game and then choco taco fucking broke them
♡ the juxtaposition of ally being SO FUCKING SURE that Bug with a Big Ass is Rekha while playing Brennan Lee Mulligan who is actually playing Bug with a Big Ass is just something really special, actually
♡ that tells me that Jackson Alberta is being played by a gay man and I'm trying to isolate which one Ohmigod ally
♡ so is real life ally also just nat 20's mixed with nat 1's?
♡ moose
♡ omg grant and katie
♡ AllyBrennan calling out BrennanBrennan
♡ I fucking love GraNma sWeetie
♡ maybe they're all ally
♡ the Rekha Brennan storyline is hilarious
♡ grant... maybe I'm Steven?
♡ that does feel like Tao!
♡ omg ally got grant right but thought it was wrong hahaha
♡ woo go Rekha and Katie!
♡ aw zac :(
♡ okay but GraNma sWeetie is the best character!
♡ "I mean I guess someone has chosen to come out and mock me all day."
♡ sleepover starter pack!
♡ ally and zac omg
♡ graNma sWeetie won't give out her real name, but she will give out her social security number 🤣
♡ I'm the belle of the ball omg I love you zac
♡ oh my god grant.
♡ okay, but if it were me I would say uh... oh wait fuck I don't have a character nevermind
♡ but also Brennan's answer is 10000% a Brennan answer because it's no answer so therefore it's winning
♡ jfc grant
♡ IT REALLY DOES FEEL LIKE VIC
♡ this is a huge moment for everyone but me
♡ grant's here? I thought he had covid?
♡ okay! but this comment presents two REALLY interesting points! Because we know from BingoCeption and the Time Loop episodes that Grant DID have covid, and they had to rush to find replacements for him. Which is why Zac's social card and Brennan's stamp were both made for Grant. SO! This episode presumably takes place filming wise AFTER those two beginning of the season episodes did. BUT! everyone is currently in their own hotel room, which means possibly grant was still testing positive for covid but was asymptomatic and able to play this particular game? Idk. I'm just.... ahh!
♡ the fuck is the ratfish?
♡ they show a person, but my question hasn't changed. Who and what is the ratfish??????????
Okay, time for part two!!! Gonna do a separate post for that one and just share a bunch of my favorite screenshots from part 1 below.
... can you tell I've been watching a lot of dimension 20?

2022 favs meme! Thanks to @take-in-time for tagging me!
I truly don't remember half the things I've done but let's see! I've changed the format because it's me and I ramble.
If you want an excuse to ramble about your fave media, I'm tagging you!
favorite books
I was really into Roopa Farooki's books this year. She's a Pakistani-British writer, and her books are about dysfunctional Pakistani families that are immigrants. I read:
-Everything is True, about her time as a doctor in the first 40 days of Covid
-The Way Things Look to Me, about three siblings whose parents have died, meaning the two older siblings need to support the youngest, and how they do (or don't) do that.
-The Good Children, about four siblings, two men and two women, who grew up with an abusive mum, and how that's impacted their lives as adults
Other shoutouts to:
-Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
-the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
-the Dr Greta Helsing trilogy by Vivian Shaw, Gods of Jade and Shadow, and Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
-Waiting for Elijah by Kate Wild (this one was sad)
-The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrafer (loud screaming)
-the Something is Killing the Children Graphic Novels
-Interviews with Monster Girls manga
favorite movies
I never goddamn watch movies even though I should. So here are the ones I've watched that I enjoyed:
-The Bad Guys (the animated one with another wolf man to add to the tumblr's furry roster)
-The Batman (It was so long but yeah I really liked it!)
-Uhhhhhhhh
-Thor Love and Thunder (it was mindless, not as good as Ragnarok, but I had fun)
-Rehearsal for a Murder (I watched this one cos the local community theatre is going to produce it next year and I wanted to see if any parts suited me. Alas not. But it was a good film! Also young Jeff Goldblum lmao)
favorite songs:
-This was the year of Rina Sawayama for me, especially XS, Bad Friend, Hold the Girl, and Frankenstein
-Your Love (Deja Vu) by Glass Animals
-Go Your Own Way and the Chain by Fleetwood Mac (thanks OFMD)
-The Loneliest Time by Carly Rae Jepsen (the song not the album >.>)
-Peach by Broods
-Shake It by Loona
-Music for a Sushi Restaurant by Harry Styles (again the song not the album lmao)
Also shoutout to other Top 40 songs that kept me company on my drives for work because my car was made 2008 and has no USB ports/bluetooth: About Damn Time by Lizzo, Unholy by Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Faith by Georgia Lines, Cuff It by Beyonce, Bad Habit by Steve Lacy, Late Night Talking by Harry Styles and Stay with Me by Calvin Harris
favorite shows:
-Uhhh does dimension 20 count? Well it does now. It's all I've watched.
-Also EXU: Calamity
-Also drawfee. Big year for drawfee.
-The Watcher Boys!
-And I've also gotten back into watching Dodger's streams
-Actual Shows though?? Uhhhh I've watched Spy x Family and Mob Psycho 100 and those are good
-This is a statement I'm going to put out into the world: I WILL watch succession next year, instead of just going into the tag, and watching youtube compilations
I'm adding Favourite Games because this is all I think about:
-DISCO ELYSIUM a game I have never played because I'd just get anxious but love So Much
-Persona 5, a game I have only watched a playthrough of but may One Day Play when it is less than $100 on steam
-Death's Door -it's very cute and difficult but not too hard!
-Coral Island - It's only early access but Boy it's good
-Dead Cells
-The Great Ace Attorney a game I'd like to play but am currently just watching it being streamed by Rythian
-The Case of the Golden Idol - I watched Secret Sleepover Society play it and it's So Good. It's very Obra Dinn like and that's one of my favourite games
favorite memories:
-seeing lots of plays with the acting class! especially the First Prime Time Asian Sitcom which really just drilled a hole into my brain and was like 'hey all the issues around media representation for Asian people you think about so much? lets talk about it)
-hanging out with the Coffee Crew (when I had the spoons which is not often) and laughing til I cry
-i went to the museum for my birthday and brought my family along and it went super well! We thought it would be too much for my sister cos crowds but she loved it!
-I'm a fully registered speech therapist now! I love my work, and my colleagues, in this brutal capitalist hellscape I've got one of the best jobs and workplaces ever.
-Every time I go to see a child and their face lights up because they're so happy to see me. Best part of the job!!

hi riz whags up i see you are dimension 20 posting. how much of it is there because ive thought about checking it out but got frightened
(Edit: 12/14/22 This is currently out of date.)
FRAP I'M SOOOOO GLAD YOU ASKED
so basically dimension 20 is absolutely a lot. it can seem really intimidating, but the truth of the matter is is that most of the seasons are completely independent of each other (barring fantasy high universe, the two seasons of the unsleeping city, and the two seasons of misfits and magic)
i will spell out what is and is not paywalled, and good golly there's a lot of content! keep in mind that the average episode is movie length, about 120 minutes long. so there's a lot of content there and it may take a long time to complete any of it if you're not insane like me. but, again, most seasons are completely independent of each other, so you can skip around! more under the cut
pink = NO MONEY REQUIRED, no paywall
Fantasy High (Universe)
fantasy high (season 1) is available in its entirety on youtube for free! (link here) it is also available on spotify uncensored. the premise of fantasy high is that this is a magical universe where fantasy creatures and magic are commonplace, and the main characters exist in the nation of solace, in a john hughes-esque town. each of the main characters is a freshman at auguefort adventuring academy, the place all prominent adventures learn how to kill, maim, and pillage their way to becoming heroes! our main characters stumble upon a major conspiracy, and hilarity and tearjerkers ensue. this was the first of all dimension 20 campaigns. (17 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
there are a number of interim live show/oneshot adventures within the universe and featuring the characters of fantasy high. this includes a live show with brian david gilbert and another show with griffin mcelroy. all currently paywalled. (2 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
fantasy high sophomore year (or fhsy or fantasy high live or season 2 if you're nasty) is only available free up to 3.5 episodes as far as i can find. (link here) this is an expansion on the first season, and it is all recorded live. absolutely fantastic, i haven't finished it yet but from what i've seen it's incredibly intense and a satisfying payoff on each character's arc. (20 EPISODES, range from 2.5-3hr with a 5hr finale)
pirates of leviathan is a paywalled sidequest that included superstars in actual play such as matt mercer, aabria iyengar, b. dave walters, and more! i haven't finished this season either, but it is an expansion on a location visited in fhsy! (6 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
the seven is the baby of the bunch, and it's paywalled beyond the first episode. this is MAJOR spoilers for the first season of fantasy high, do not watch without watching the first season! (link here to first ep) aabria iyengar and some other star players are in this as well, such as erika ishii and rekha shankar. no spoilers, i'll let you discover this one. (10 EPISODES, 2hr give or take)
within this series (with fhsy) we get the first of the talkbacks, which are episodes released discussing the events of the episode, and are present in most campaigns after fhsy. there is also behind the scenes content that i recommend, a look into rick perry's wonderful team that makes the sets come alive!
The Unsleeping City
the first season of the unsleeping city is also on spotify and the youtube channel! (link here) this is basically brennan's love story to new york city, and it's filled with whimsy and wonder and tragedy and hope. this is probably my favorite main season with the core cast. fabulous, cannot recommend enough. (17 EPISODES, 1.5-2hr avg)
the unsleeping city season 2 is an expansion on the first season and is, unfortunately, paywalled. but still so fantastic. (18 EPISODES, 2-2.5hr avg)
Misfits & Magic
paywalled, but separated because there are technically two seasons. one that is already complete (and i'm crazy about!) and one that will be released this holiday season. NOTE: this is the first adventure DMed by a game master other than brennan lee mulligan. aabria iyengar does a fabulous job of steering the ship and taking the helm of a satire actual play that just rips the shit out of a harry potter universe. i'm on the last episode of this and it's already made me cry. (4 EPISODES, 2hr avg, holiday special is 1 EPISODE, 3hrs)
Non-linear Seasons
a crown of candy is, and i CANNOT stress this enough, a fabulous piece of collaborative storytelling... that i have not gotten around to watching. it's like if you took game of thrones and candyland and smashed it into one large epic. the first episode is available (link here) but unfortunately is also paywalled. (17 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
escape from the bloodkeep is absolutely my favorite sidequest besides mismag, and it is free in its entirety on youtube! (link here) it is a parody of lord of the rings told from the side of the bad guys. (6 EPISODES, 2hr avg with 3hr finale)
tiny heist is paywalled, and it features the mcelroy brothers, their dad, and two college humor cast members (lily du and jess ross). this is less of your traditional 5e, as the focus (while still in traditional dimension 20 fashion) is more of a story based on tiny guys (toys, fairies, little dudes) stealing a roll of quarters from a big bad. it's very fun, even if i have my criticisms. a bit more mindless fun than the rest (6 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
mice and murder is more visual than the other side quests, since it is based around a murder mystery and secret messages! it includes many college humor cast members and though i haven't watched it, i've seen some high reviews. link to the first episode (here), the rest is paywalled (10 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
shriek week is one i'll confess i know very little about. it also includes a GM that is not brennan, and that GM is gabe hicks, who created their own system for the game! the first episode is available here (link here) for free! not sure much about it other than what's on the wiki overview, but i'm sure it's a howl (monster pun) (4 EPISODES, 2hr avg)
there is one new campaign to air very soon that doesn't require major knowledge of previous campaigns, but will contain the core cast once again! it's called a starstruck odyssey and will begin next week, paywalled afaik (TBA) EDIT: will not begin next week, but will instead air on dropout Jan 12, 2022 EDIT 2: a starstruck odyssey is based on the comic by the DM's mother, starstruck. it is a sci fi campaign using the sw5e system modified, and includes the main cast. the first episode is available free on youtube (link here)! (18 episodes, 2-2.5hr avg)
coffin run is a 5e season with a bunch of returning faces that is absolutely hilarious and now airing it's 6 episodes, avg 1.5 hrs each! unfortunately, for now it is paywalled. the first episode is available free on youtube! (link)
The Transcripts
the good people of the dimension 20 fandom have put together a pretty comprehensive free compilation of community made and edited transcripts. (link here to their beautiful work!) while this isn't just a sneaky paywall workaround (shhhh) it's also an invaluable tool as CC is sometimes... inaccurate! of course i suggest trying out a dropout subscription (not just for dimension 20!) but while dipping your toes in, this is a good alternative even if it doesn't compare to the performance of the players and the wonderful editing and sets! now that we're out of the water irt COVID a bit more, they're back in the dome and it's wonderful.
Parting thoughts
i just want to remind you that even though this is a LOT of content, you can jump around as much as you please and view what interests you. you absolutely do not need to watch these in order, save for the few that i mentioned.
there are also a majority free amount of "adventuring academy" videos which are basically Nerds Talking About DnD and tabletop and their loves and dislikes and philosophies and anecdotes about it
i will say, PoL can be a skip imo, as can m&m and tiny heist. but this is all up to personal taste and preference! good luck! enjoy and please feel free to ask more!

Fandom meme - SEVEN (since you're playing FF7), BAD KIDS (Cause I'm dying for more D20 content), and randomizer, the first name you can think of, for fandom of your choice!
thank you so much! i’ve been working on this all weekend here and there and it’s been so much fun. i cut out the doubled up letters
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged) - since i’ve been thinking about happy death day a lot recently (ayy thanks quarantine for making my life feel like such a damn loop) i headcanon that in the second movie lori has a huge crush tree
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what - i mean i kind of created fig/vivian as a ship in the gilded lily/shipwrecked fandom and it started off as cracky, also kind of made fig a sputtery disaster gay around viv so that’s a bit cracky i guess? OH you and i were basically the one and only betty/danny shippers from the carmilla days and i guess that was a crackship, though i still maintain that was my otp and a highly underrated ship. we were geniuses and our fic was some of my favorite
V - 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms -                   - Laurel/Felicity (Arrowverse)                  - JJ/Emily (Criminal Minds)                  - Jester/Beau (Critical Role)
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice) - i wish there was more unsleeping city sofia/any female character content because a) emily definitely had chemistry with every female npc, and b) there is just not enough tuc content in the d20 fandom just in general and if there is it’s definitely not sofia content
B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind - there’s been a lot but i guess like, currently, ragh/fabian? they would be so good! (i’m thinking of fandoms i’m currently in because honestly there’s been so many)
A - Your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s) -                 - Aerith/Tifa (Final Fantasy 7)                - Fig/Ayda (Fig/Ayda/Adaine) (Fantasy High)                - Lori/Tree (Happy Death Day)
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t (again: be nice) - Fabian/Riz (Fantasy High) i don’t see it but i wish i could because it’s literally the only content the fandom creates but i just don’t get it
K - Say something nice about someone in any of your fandoms - the dimension 20 fandom has been the nicest and most diverse, incredible, and welcoming fandom. there’s no outright hate, if there’s a problem then there’s a civil discussion. it’s fun and always positive. and even though i normally get uncomfortable when the cast and creators are so interactive with the fandom i actually don’t mind that most of them have tumblrs and often talk about content created by fans
I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why - so so so many. if i enjoy a thing i basically refuse to interact with the fandom because it will get bigger and it will get ruined. but is it obvious to say s/pn? also most recently the six fandom has made me nope the fuck out of there. i still love the content but the fandom is on my last damn nerve. a short list of five: spn, six, starkid, critrole, and carmilla (when it was new
M - Say something genuinely nice about a ship that you don’t ship (or its shippers, or anything related to you) - i think the fabriz shippers are very creative and have some of the most stunning art pieces in the fandom
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of - studio killers - jenny; was on my original margo/alice (the magicians) playlist and it still works very well for them i think
H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., tv shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.) - tv shows/webseries, it’s all i watch or play 24/7 so honestly name a show or web content and i’m p sure i’ve seen it and consider myself a part of the fandom, if you’re looking for specifics there’s too too many to name
