Firebird
It's been a hot minute since Lav introduced me to videogames, and as a good poltergeist resident, I'm leaving here my latest discovery for her to find when things get less busy.
Yesterday I played Firebird, a game developed by French studio Ludogram. It's a visual novel following a roadtrip through Siberia, in a quest to bring a young girl back to her village. It incorporates a lot of elements from Slavic folklore and tales, and has a very unique artstyle, which I loved the most.
It's a short game (I think the first playthrough took me 1h30, maybe 2h if you read slowly), and overall I found it a bit too easy at times, but the atmosphere and the storyline made it so charming it's a new favourite for me. I won't say much more because it's worth discovering on your own, so I'll just put some light criticism at the end of the tags if you want it.
It's available on several platforms, and it's in English, French, and Russian language.

#circusghost#i've been playing a bit since the beginning of the year and slowly but surely i find things that interest me#i'll play firebird again in russian to practice#also look at the artstyle on the picture i uploaded isn't it gorgeous??????#i'm also completely obsessed with legend of zelda since january#botw was really good and i think totk is great as well so far#but i want to play them all???? that is the beginning of my downfall#hey hey hey it's me again with chaotic random things#i'm getting worst at blog sitting but i'm trying my best#now for some light criticism#without spoilers of course#some mechanics of the game are not very fluid -especially when you play again to get to all the places#but i find it worth it to see all the landscapes because the art really is gorgeous#if you know a bit about slavic folklore i think you enjoy this game a lot more#i know i did#lastly - i don't know much about games in the first place but i did find it a bit short#or maybe i enjoyed it too much and time flew by quickly#but i think that if you're really motivated to unlock all the game and the possible endings then it'll be a lot longer#i'll do that in the coming days!#byeeee#eliott
