my greatest strength as a teacher, and I fear as a person, is that I am very stupid in the middle of whatever knowledge and wisdom I possess.
#there's just these sudden huge gaps lol#and then it gives people the confidence to step in and fill in the gaps#because i am being so stupid#i love to build up to things. to scaffold everything#to sort of cover all the ground#and then not say the thing at the heart of it#sometimes intentionally but mostly because i don't know how#but it leaves room for people to jump in and finish it with me.#i'm all half phrases and dithering and meanderings and walking around the point#but it leaves room for the Thing at the Center to be more clearly perceived by the people around me#(i think. this is at least a theory i have)
