2. talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

... I mean, this happens ALL THE DAMN TIME so I can't pick out any specific moment. I'll say this - I never, ever planned on writing The Suns or the 3quelfic to The Storm. That was supposed to be a one-off desperate story, and then the narrative and the characters all looked at me like "You're not ending it like this." That ending was meant to be open-ended because I like those kinds of endings but those endings are also actually kind of terrible because they're always inviting me to imagine what happens next. But The Storm said "Fuck that, I have so much more story to give and you're gonna fucking do it."

Fuck.

7. tell us about the plot of the first fanfic you ever wrote

All I remember is that it had Godzilla and the wolf pack from Julie Of The Wolves. I wrote like 40+ pages, front and back, by hand. I was less than 10 years old.

17. what is your favorite line you’ve ever written?

Recency bias and object permanence issues and all that means I'm just gonna be looking at my Mando fics, especially this one line from The Storm.

The strange illusion of his time on this planet is fracturing, shattering, and though he is finally glad to leave, a part of him wonders what it could be like to stay here with Luke, lost to the rest of the galaxy.

73. how do you visualize scenes? do you see it like a movie in your head, or do the words just flow?

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's definitely a movie with voices, sound effects, and even an OST, and there is also this omniscient narrator helpfully narrating key moments. I can even rewind and start that scene over from another perspective.

and then you sit to write into your document and don't remember a single fucking thing. fuck.

92. first, second, or third person?

limited third person, to be specific. unless I'm doing some foolhardy thing like this m'challa fic where I played around with past and present tenses and nakia's scenes were in 2nd person.

absolutely NO 1st person. ever. i'd try to claw my way out of myself i could. can you imagine romantic or spicy scenes in 1st person? WELL I CAN'T. AUGH.
