with the help of maude, elijah had managed to sneak his way into the ball and so far, he had gone undetected. it was the role of a lifetime, he thought, and he was going to do his best to try and make sure that he didn't ruin this. as he spotted eleanor heading over, a part of him wondered if she might have realised that he doesn't quite belong but is relieved as she holds out her dance card to him. "of course i am." he lies, quickly. "i would be a fool to miss out on the opportunity." he smiled and his smile made way for laughter as the other continued.
