Soul ties - Part 10 (Bucky Barnes au)
“And when I felt like I was an old cardigan under someone's bed,
You put me on  and said I was your favourite”
Word count : 1712
Tumblr media
Going back to everyone wasn't even as awkward as you'd predicted ; what had just happened with Bucky was pretty obvious. Yet, all the guests decided to cheer you up and spend their night telling you jokes or just talking to you about random memories. When you went back to your  room for good, you made sure Bucky walked you there : you were silently thanking Steve for giving you a room this far away from the others, since it gave you the opportunity to speak freely.
"So, about earlier,"  you started, "I think..."
"Hum,  yeah. I get it must be complicated for you." He scratched the back of his head as you stopped in front of your bedroom door.
"It's not, actually." You looked him in the eyes. "I know exactly what I want."
Something gleamed in his eyes – a hint of hope, maybe.
"You do?" he asked. "I don't want you to be in this situation, so..."
"I swear," — you gently grabbed the front of his shirt  – "I promise I know you're who I want." You lowered your gaze. "I'd be a fool to pretend otherwise."
Bucky tilted his head down to see you better, breathing on the tip of your nose. "This makes me...really happy." He kissed your nose, making you feel an instant warmth in your chest. "Now go get some rest. You've had an eventful night."
"You're right." You let go of him to grab the doorknob and turned around. "Wait, before I go..." You span and placed your hands on his shoulders to help you reach his height and planted a kiss on his lips again. "I really wanted to do this again."
You chuckled and left him at the door, quickly closing it behind you so that he wouldn't see you smiling like a teenager. Changing into your pyjamas, you were still unable to think about anything else than the  first kiss you'd shared and the emotion it'd gifted you with. You chose not to go to sleep right away : you knew a knock on your door would come. Around twenty minutes afterwards, you were ready to open the door to your sister right after hearing her.
"So, that happened," she said when she sat on your bed. "How are you feeling?"
"Don't you already know that?" you teased. "I thought you were supposed to be a mind-reading enchantress or something. Your skills are getting rusty, sis."
Wanda couldn't help but laugh before asking her question  again. "Seriously, I want to hear it from you, not  from your thought process. It's too much of a mess anyway."
You rolled your eyes at the skies  before sitting next to her. "It was... I don't know how to describe it." You shrugged. "It felt right."
"And what are you going to do about Darren? I heard you saying you were over, but are you actually doing it?"
You stopped to think for a moment. What would divorcing Darren concretely mean? You'd have to go through a divorce procedure, and you didn't know how those were  supposed to go. Maybe you could  ask Tony if he knew any good lawyers who might you out. But there was another thing you'd need to do.
"I'll  go get my stuff tomorrow. I'm thinking  of asking Tony if I can stay here...permanently."
You wrapped your hands around your legs and rested your chin on your knees.
"I'll go with you. I don't trust him."
"Thanks, Wanda."
Your sister hugged you tight before lying down next to you.
"I'm here for you. We're family," she noted. "Now get some sleep ; you need it."
You lay next to her and as it turned out, you fell asleep pretty fast. Maybe soulmates had that effect on people.
---
"He's not even here," you remarked. "Even after our fight last night, he doesn't bother showing up at his own apartment."
Darren's behaviour was already heating up your anger, and you were once  again patting yourself on the shoulder for refusing both Steve and  Sam's help that day. They would not have handled this by calming you down. Maybe Steve would've tried, but well, even he had his limits. Messing with his family was one of them.
Your sister followed you to your bedroom, where you dragged a suitcase from under your bed. When you opened it, Wanda's eyes lingered for a second : it wasn't empty.
"Were you packing for a trip?" she asked.
You looked away and shrugged. "I don't know if I was planning for a honeymoon or a bad fight," you admitted. "Turns out it's the latter." You kept running around the place, packing everything from your most random flannel shirt to your favourite coffee mug.
"I think I'm ready to go," you ended up saying as you closed your suitcase. "I'm- wait. Did you hear the door too?"
"Y/n?"
"Fuck." You looked at Wanda, who'd recognised Darren's voice as well. You walked out of the bedroom, your suitcase rolling behind you. Your husband's eyes fell on your luggage before going back to you. You tried searching for any trace of sadness on his face ; all you found was anger and disappointment.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked. "And what is she doing here?"
"Wanda's here because she wanted to help me get as far away from you as possible," you replied. "My whereabouts are none of your business anymore."
"You can't just leave like that. You're still my wife, as far as I know."
"Not for long."
Darren's face got bright red as he went in the kitchen. You knew he was about to start yelling, so you went for the door. His arm stopped you ; you hadn't seen him turn around. He grabbed your wrist, causing you to let out a faint scream. Wanda didn't need any more excuses to use her abilities.  She pinned him against the wall with a slight gesture of her hand.
"Don't you touch her again," she breathed. "You don't want me to use my full strength."
You could see Darren's nostrils flaring with anger and his fist clenching. You hated seeing him like this : some part of you still remembered the guy you'd fallen for several years earlier and you wished you could've made him stay like that.
"Don't blame  yourself for his behaviour, y/n," Wanda told you, not looking away from Darren. "Trust me, this man can't be changed. He'll always be a douchebag."
Your sister let go of him and opened the apartment's door for you. You were finally stepping out of that place, walking away from Darren.
"So what?" you heard him yell. "You're just gonna go back to that weird staring guy?"
You turned around and stared at him. You were done looking down and letting him hurt you. "Stop."
"What is it, huh?" – He walked closer to you and you gestured towards Wanda to let her know you were okay. "Is he better in better in bed than I am? Because I highly doubt that any man could make a good one out of you."
"Wow, you got to this level of insults. I shouldn't be surprised, coming from you." You paused, unsure of what his reaction would be to your next words. "I'll have divorce papers sent to you."
His jaw dropped, your words leaving him speechless. HIs insults still left a bitter taste in your mouth as you did your best to hide your pain. You didn't think such a long relationship could end like this, in a heartbeat, in the drop of a coffee cup.
Going back to the compound seemed to take less time than it took going to Darren's place. You were looking out of the window in silence, even though you knew your sister was holding back her remarks about Darren : you didn't need mind-reading powers to know that.
"Go ahead. Tell me I should've seen it coming."
"I'm not going to tell you that. Believe it or not, I wish I'd been wrong about him."
You gave Wanda a side glance : her grip on the stirring wheel was stern but her eyes were filled with sympathy.
"But I should've seen it coming. Damn, I despised his friends the moment I met them and he's just like them."
Wanda chuckled, which seemed inappropriate at first. "You didn't see that coming."
These words forced a smile out of you. "He would kick his ass, wouldn't he?"
"Absolutely. And he wouldn't be gentle about it."
You fiddled with your fingers. "Moments like these... I miss him the most."
"I know." Your sister's hand grabbed yours for a second before going back to the wheel. Her voice had gotten a little shaky from the emotion. "I also know he would've liked Bucky for you."
"Maybe. I shouldn't rush into this, though."
"Wait, what?" Wanda was confused, it seemed. How could she not be?
"Wanda, I just got out of a long relationship. I'm not even divorced yet. Bucky deserves better than this mess of a situation."
"Oh c'mon, he won't care about that. Have you seen how the man looks at you?"
A grin made its way to your lips as you remembered the numerous occasions Bucky  had laid his blue eyes on you, and yesterday, on your lips.
"I feel like I can't do this to him, you know? There are so many things I like about him, from the way he bothers pronouncing my name correctly, not the bland American way, to the habit he has of scratching his neck... You  know, dumb stuff. But what do I have to offer him? I'm not..."
"Stop. That's Darren speaking, not you," your sister softly reprimanded you. "You're worth so much more than you think you are. I also know that the guy who's going to rush to you to make sure you're okay is falling in love with you, if he hasn't already. His mind is almost as big a mess as yours."
"Wow, that's a first," you joked, the mention of love making you anxious. "The mess thing, I mean."
"Yeah, sure," — she snickered – "the mess thing."
--- They're getting serious, guys! I hope this part was good and that you liked it. Part 11 will come soon. :)

Chapter 239
Next morning
Tumblr media
Trey
I roll over staring at Caden. Why is he in this bed with me? He rolls his naked butt over trying to get a better look at me. I smile. He had smiled once he saw that it was me. I don't know where my mind went but it wasn't right. My son's couldn't ever do without me. They look for me. Wait for me. Get excited to see me.
"Son?" I say grabbing Caden.
"Yes."
I chuckle. "Morning Lane."
He hits the bottom of the bed. "I go see Rose tomorrow."
"You are?"
"Yeah, Mommy take me to see Grandma Rose. Her is."
I smile. He lying. Cammie didn't say that. Lane cuts his eyes towards the bathroom then he drops down out of sight. I lean up looking over the bed at what he is doing. He just had a bunch of cards on the floor. Nothing else.
"Daylan." Cammie snaps.
"I don't know, Mommy."
She sucks her teeth. "What did I say?"
"I don't know." He repeats.
"Pippi?" Lonnie says tapping on the door. "Got you an outfit. Put it on and meet me on the beach. See if you still got it."
He hangs a Walmart bag on the doorknob then he closes the door without hearing an answer. Lane runs to the door grabbing the bag. He digs through the bag.
"My toy?" He whines. "Papa? My toy?"
"Lane!"
He throws the bag behind him going out of the door crying. That's between him and whoever said his name out there. Little bratty butt boy. I glance down at Caden he was sleeping hard. I lay him down by my legs. His eyes pop open and look directly at me. He pouts. I pick him back up.
"Tremaine?"
"Jayla, Baby."
She smacks the bag picking it up. "Do I act like my son? Why does he act like that?"
I chuckle. "Baby, why you mad at the bag?"
"Workout clothes?" She snaps. "He just assume I..."
"Mommy, shoes." Lane says coming in the room acting like they heavy. "Papa said put you shoes on. Now."
Cammie storms out without saying anything. Lane goes about his business. Whatever business that might be. He obviously not upset so he got what he wanted. I lean back cuddling Caden. Let them run about doing stuff. Me and Caden gonna sleep.
"Daddy open." Lane says now at the bed.
"Lane, I told you I would open it." Cammie says nicely from across the room.
"Daddy open it." Lane says pushing something closer to me.
I sit up leaving Caden in the bed. He stays sleep.
"Lane, I love you." Cammie says.
"Love you, Mommy." He says then runs over to her. "Come give you kisses?"
She sucks her teeth. "I thought you said you didn't know what I said, Daylan. You knew what I said all along. Why you acting like that?"
He grabs her neck shoving his face into hers. They just stay like that as I open the mini pancakes in a bag. I feel them. They were warm. I guess he got them from somebody. They had cooked them.
"Jay, Lonnie said stop being a chicken." Rollie says. "Aye, Trey. They cooked breakfast. Fucking Charleston's finest in the kitchen. So she thinks."
Rollie puts a big monster truck down on the floor. I sigh. We left that shit in Georgia for a damn reason. Why the fuck they go and buy him a new monster truck? It turns him into a monster. Loud and energetic. He let's go of Cammie spinning around happy.
"My truck." He sings.
"Rollie." Cammie whines.
Rollie shrugs. "Debra, yo mama, ordered it offline cause Lane said he lost it at the other house. He said real house I think."
"Spoiled by the other family too?" I laugh as both Cammie and Lane leave out. Cammie is going to her mother to fuss about that truck.
"And you seen Cammie?"
I laugh. "Aye, she asked me if Lane acts like her like she wants me to kill myself."
"Pause." Rollie says stepping in the room. "You not thinking..."
"Man, fuck you. Make a joke out of everything."
Rollie shrugs. "If you need to talk about your feelings."
"Let's talk about you growing up in that family getting everything you want and getting bullied for making all A's in school until you..."
"What you say, Mama?" He says walking out the room.
I laugh then lay down with Caden. I don't know my wife's family like I thought. I might not know my damn wife like I thought. She hid her family and now it seems like for no reason. Nothing is like she said it was or I assumed. I never cared about who raised her and who she wanted to impress.
"Caden?" I say looking at him as he kicks me. He stops staring at me then he start kicking me again. "You know your name?"
"Daddy." Lane says at the door. "You eat your food?"
I pick Caden up. "I'm coming."
"Thank you, sir." JJ giggles from the hallway. "Lane, that you truck? Lane?"
"JJ!" Lane yells. "Go get you... JJ come here."
I step into the hall. Lane is sitting on the truck. JJ was running down the hall. Lane gets up running after him. He grabs JJ as JJ stops and slams into him. They both fall out on the floor.
"Lane!" JJ snaps getting up. "Ouch. I telling."
"No." Lane cries.
JJ helps Lane up. "Okay. Okay. I not tell. You sorry?"
"Grandma got you truck."
"For me?"
Lane runs towards Debra's room. Please don't have two trucks. I walk into her room behind the boys. She had two more boxes opening them. This lady had 3 fucking monster trucks. I shake my head walking out. Cammie must not have seen that. They about to tear this house up with those trucks.
Tumblr media
Cammie
"So I feel bad about how I acted." Amber says as I walk pass her. "I don't think you should leave cause of... sorry."
I fold my arms across my chest. "Nobody worried about you and your bratty ass."
"Me bratty, Camilla? Okay."
"Eww." I say walking out of the house onto the patio.
"Good morning." Lonnie says.
I cross my arms. "I run on the beach all the time."
"I run in heels all the time."
"And you look ridiculous." I say walking away.
"Rollie?" Lonnie says surprised. "Good morning."
I turn around looking to see where Rollie was. He was standing on the other side of the pool with Jordan. Rollie looks at Lonnie then he looks at me. I smile at him. He nods his head up towards the sky.
"Sup?" Rollie says.
"Jordan?" Lonnie says once again surprised. "Morning, Doll."
"Good morning, Pop." She says sad. "I lost my favorite shoes."
Lonnie nods. "Maybe Lane has seen them. He is a jokester. A very clever one."
Jordan jumps over the chair she was near. "I bet you Lane has them."
"It's always difficult to talk about personal issues with people who should already know how you feel." Lonnie says then he starts walking towards the beach. "How long has it been?"
"Since?"
He smirks. "Since I beat your ass and ran longer than you?"
I laugh. "Lame. Never."
He starts jogging down the beach. I don't remember the last time that we went running. Last time we ran I was about to start my sophomore year in college. We used to go on daily runs during the summer. We started a year after he married my mother. Lonnie has always just been there. Never trying to be my father just always trying to help me through whatever I was going through. He became my dance couch even though he couldn't tap his finger on beat. He carried my equipment and shined my boats when I was on the marching band. He cheered for me even after cursing my coach out for making us wear hooker clothes and doing slutty dances. I stop running. He throws his hands up in the air.
"Less than a mile!" He cheers.
"I got Mommy issues." I say crossing my arms to hold my breasts.
He continues to do a two step. "Hell yeah for karma. Getting old and responsibilities."
"Shut up." I say turning back to the house.
"What happened?" He asks coming up as I start to cry.
He hugs me. "Too harsh? We softened up too?"
"No Lame-o." I cry. "Get off of me."
"Can't talk?"
"I was thinking about life and everything that... How could he be so stupid Lonnie? I would do anything to stop my son from feeling like I did. I went as far as keeping his father from him cause I didn't want him to feel like I felt. How could he selfishly set out to make my son feel like that? Just so stupid."
Lonnie rubs my shoulder. "Men are weak baby. Women hype us up. Give us more credit and responsibility than we are capable of. He is stupid for misjudging his ability. But you can't blame him for being human. We not perfect. That's why we need God."
"We really talking about church right now?"
"When the last time you been as a family? I am inviting you to church cause that's your answer. God. No man is going to fix your problem. You need God. Your husband needs forgiveness that only God can give him. Being so weak. You can only fix a wound temporarily but it takes God to heal a wound that deep."
I suck my teeth. "Should I say Amen? Choir?"
He chuckles hitting my arms. "Stop being a faggot. Let's run another mile."
"Did you call me a faggot?" I yell.
"A queer? Maybe I need to pray."
"You do. You cant say those words like that." I snap walking back to the house. "I can't do this. I didn't pump first. You go pray."
He claps his hands behind me. "With your husband?"
I glance back at him. "He is a religious person, Lame. Maybe he will pray with you."
"I will invite myself to talk with him about his problems. Instruct him on a plan to get back in church. Give him a prayer."
"You do that Frank." I shrug.
He catches up with me. "I'm really here because I heard about what happened a few years ago. I mean I heard about your husband last night. It seems like a lot to dump on a person but we have to talk about it. I suggest..."
"I pray?"
"No. Give me the names." He says like duh.
I shake my head. "No."
"Because your husband is famous?"
"Because they are famous." I say low. "It's too much. They have lawyers and public reps that make sure stuff like that stays hidden. No."
He puts his hands on his hips. "They don't know me."
"I said no."
"I'll do it my way, Pippi. So you don't want my prayer?"
"Be my husband's preacher. You creepy."
He laughs unnecessarily hard. "Lane told me to shut up with my long prayer."
"When did my baby say that?"
"I was on the phone with a member of the church praying for her father this morning. He said Pop, don't take a long time. Be quiet."
I roll my eyes and start walking. "Y'all let my baby say whatever his grown self wants. He is 2. That was disrespectful."
"I supposed to do what to him for expressing himself? He didn't want to hear my prayer about being sick."
"Like you beat your daughter. Pop why is she in Georgia not raising her daughter? Her bad daughter at that?"
He sucks his teeth. "I gave her to God."
"God the one gave her to you. No take backs. She your daughter. She needs to raise her child herself. When I finish with this dancing show I'm going to get that little girl and straighten her butt out. Nobody act like they can handle her."
"Congratulations on that. I saw your commercial and I recorded. Played it for the church. We going to have a night dedicated to your show. Make revival short."
I roll my eyes. "Don't make God mad at me."
"He gone be mad cause Imma be praying while watching."
"You really, Lame."
He giggles like I gave him a compliment. I keep walking towards the house.

Married
Pairing:Mob!Tom x Reader
Request: "Could you do a Mob!Tom x reader where he is married but doesn't love his wife, and he and the reader(who is introverted) are lovers, he takes her in meetings, events, buys gifts for her because he truly loves her, and his wife finds out when she sees them kissing in his office?"
------------------------------------
"I kno- yes I know, Olivia." Tom grunted impatiently into his phone. "I'm sorry, but you know I have a lot of work to do. Just go to bed, I'll see you in the morning." He said quickly hanging up the phone.
Tom sighed leaning back into his chair as he cursed himself for marrying so young. He was pulled out of his thoughts by a soft, timid knock at his door and almost as if on cue, Tom relaxed and smiled.
"Come in." He called out.
The door swung open and you walked in with a bashful grin, making Tom's heart immediate swell.
"Hey." You greeted.
Tom stood up and walked towards. "Hello darling." He greeted back. "I was wondering when you were gonna come back." He said pulling you into him, his hands resting on your waist.
"Yeah, I had to cover someone's shift tonight."
"Hm," he hummed. "I wanted to tell you again how good you were in this morning's meeting."
You scoffed lightly and laughed. "I don't do anything, I just sit on your lap."
"Yes, but you've been much more relaxed lately princess. You're not as nervous anymore."
You shrugged. "It's easier when you whisper all those sweet things to me."
Tom chuckled and placed a kiss on your forehead. "By the way, I have another gala coming up and I want you to go with me."
You hunmed. "Of course."
Tom pulled you farther into his office. He sat down in his chair, while you sat on the desk in front of him. This now becoming a habit for the two of you. As the two of you began talking about whatever came to mind, your eye couldn't help catch a glint. Your attention being brought to the wedding ring, that sat on the desk. Your expression immediately dropped. Tom noticed this, glancing at what you were looking, making him sigh.
"Princess, look at me." You did as he said, looking into his eyes "She means absolutely nothing to me."
You sighed sadly, "I know." You mumbled. "But I just feel bad. I-I'm a homewrecker."
He stood up, standing between your knees. "(Y/N)." Tom stated firmly, catching you off guard by the use of your name instead of his usual nicknames for you. "You are not a homewrecker. I was never happy with Olivia. I don't ever want to hear you call yourself that again  Understand?"
You nodded your head. "W-when are you gonna tell her you want a divorce?"
"I already talked to the lawyers, I was gonna give her the paper's tomorrow."
Your eyes widened. "R-really?"
"Yes. I was gonna tell you after, and ask you to move in with me. But I don't want you to feel bad anymore."
Your face lit up, "Move in?"
Tom smiled down at you. "Yes, pretty girl. I want you to move in." He said, gripping your jaw lightly and pulling you into a kiss.
You kissed back, lips dancing with his. Your arms wrapped around his neck while his hand gripped your waist and his other moved from your jaw into your hair. But before the kiss could go any further the two of you were imterrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat behind you.
You pulled away from Tom and turned around, gasping. Tom's eyes widened before muttering out a "fuck."
There stood Olivia, Tom's wife, with her arms crossed in front of her and a less than pleased look on her face. "I was worried about you being so busy lately, but now that I see it's because you've been spending time with this whore, I realize you've been more than okay huh?" She spat.
You turned back around, not wanting to look at her face.
"Don't call her that." Tom hissed. "She's not a whore."
"Oh come on Tom. Of course she is. Now I'm only gonna say this once. Kick her out and never see her again and I might not divorce your sorry ass."
"Quite honestly, you divorcing my 'sorry ass' doesn't sound so bad." Olivia's jaw dropped. "And besides I already called the lawyers."
She scoffed. "Are you really gonna leave me for some slut! I'm your wife Tom!"
"And I'm sorry you found out this way. But I'm not in love with you."
"Oh but your in love with her?" She said sarcastically.
"Yes I am actually."
She scoffed again, "Fine. I'm going, and this is the last time you're ever gonna see me. So don't come crying when you realize you're not having fun with your little whore anymore!" She yelled before storming out of the office, slammimg the door behind her making you jump.
Tom looked down at you, noticing the tears that ran down your face as you hung your head. His hand went to your chin and gently lifted your head up, his thumb wiping off the tears on your cheeks.
"I'm sorry about that, and don't listen to her, okay?" You sniffled and nodded. Tom backed up and pulled you to your feet. "Let's go out, get your mind off of what happened."
You nodded once again and followed him out.

Hey Cassandra,
Don't say sorry for that fucker Orton, wasn't your fault. I did what any good person should have done when I came across what was happening to you. Wouldn't mind the letters doll, can't stop you if you really wanna waste your time on me.
Dean
Present Day
"You will not go near that man when he gets released, Cassandra. He's nothing but trouble, look what happened last time. Your lucky our family's reputation wasn't irreparably tarnished by your selfish behavior."
Cassandra refrained from rolling her eyes at her stepfather's ranting but it was definitely a struggle.
"He saved my life and lost 3 years of his!" Cassandra said for what seemed like the millionth time.
Of course, he was once again lecturing her about Dean Ambrose. The mechanic was about to be released from the state prison after being paroled, only having served 3 years of the 5 he'd been sentenced to for manslaughter after he'd attacked the man who'd been stalking her.
"Why do you continue to tell this lie? Randy Orton is an upstanding member of this community and our church. I still don't understand why you broke up with him. That...hooligin attacked him for no reason and got what he deserved." Her stepfathers' ranting grew louder.
"Randy was cheating on me and he almost killed me because I broke up with him. He stalked me and messed with my car so he could get to me. If Dean hadn't shown up just when he did who knows what could have happened to me."
"Stop lying, Cassandra! Randy would never do those things and I don't know what that....trailer park trash has done to you to make you lie for him so insistently. That....that....man is lucky his younger brother is some kind of big-city lawyer. That's the only reason he didn't get longer. Only 5 years for nearly killing our mayor's son, what a travesty." Her father sneered
"I won't listen to this a moment longer. You don't believe me, you won't ever believe that Randy Orton is a psychopathic creep because Mayor Orton damns near paid for the new church by himself! Some father, some man of God you are!" Cassandra snatched up her purse and flew out of the house she still shared with her parents despite being 23 years old.
Throwing herself in the driver's seat of her car, she calmed down enough to start it and get out of there before her father could come after her.
Reaching for her blue tooth headset she called one of the few people she trusted in the small, judgmental town she was forced to call home, impatiently tapping her fingers on the steering wheel until he picked up
"Seth?" She said quietly when he answered. "Can I come to you and Finn's a few days earlier then we planned? I got into another fight with the Pastor about Dean and I can't be there right now."
"Your pretty much Dean's wife without the certificate that makes you our sister. We would never turn you away." Cassie didn't even want to think about how she would have gotten through the last 3 years of her life without Dean's brothers and Brother in Law.
Seth, Dean's youngest adopted brother was an amazing lawyer and he had tried to get Dean completely acquitted of the charges, citing that it was in defense of my life that he attacked Randy, but the most important piece of evidence in Dean's defense, the dash cam footage from Dean's tow truck had been mysteriously damaged and deemed inadmissible.
"I'll be there in a few. I just want to grab some things from the store."She told him as she headed into town proper.
"Just be careful, Cassie. Dean gets out tomorrow. I really don't need my big brother kicking my ass because something happened to his girl." Seth warned.
"I'll be fine, just a quick in and out at the grocers. I'll be there in less than an hour," she said before hanging up as she pulled into the parking lot of the store.
Walking in she made sure to get a few of Deans favorite snacks for when he got home. She couldn't wait to actually get to kiss and touch him. They had been 'dating' almost the entire time he'd been incarcerated. Ever since she had started sending him letters and been sneaking up to the prison to visit him. He was definitely rough around the edges and getting to know him had been difficult given their situation but she had persevered and now she knew the grumpy, seemingly standoffish man with a heart of gold was the one for her.
She knew her father would never approve of her being with Dean, he was absolutely nothing like the men that her stepfather had tried to guide her towards in the past.
Walking around a corner, her mind elsewhere she bumped into a tall figure "Look who it is." A deep voice said grabbing her arms.
Cassie jumped back at the scarily familiar voice and looked up at the menacingly brown eyes of her ex-boyfriend Randy Orton. "My wayward girlfriend. I heard Ambrose was about done being a prison bitch."
"I'm not your girlfriend anymore Orton. I'm Dean's fiancee. Why can't you just leave me alone? Haven't you and your father done enough to us?" She said quietly, willing her voice not to shake.
"Hey! You are not marrying that prison rat. Our fathers say you're marrying me and that's the way it's going to be." Randy said angrily. "You've had your bit of freedom, now its time to do as your told."
"This isn't the dark ages Randy, I'm not marrying anyone because my stepfather says so especially not an abusive piece of trash like you." She said fiercely.
"Keep thinking you have a choice sweetheart, you'll come to heel eventually" Randy sneered, reaching for her.
"How about you take a hike and leave my sister the hell alone, Orton?" said another deep, but infinitely more welcome voice.
Neither Cassie nor Randy had noticed Seth and Dean's oldest brother Roman walk up to them. The Samoan ex-special forces captain stepped between her and Randy, his huge frame completely blocking her from Randy's sight.
"Go on Orton, get out of here, I don't wanna have to hide your body after my brother kills you for fucking with his woman again," Roman said lowly.
"You and that fag brother of yours can't always be with her, Reigns." Orton sneered "and if Ambrose comes near me, he's going right back in his cage like the bitch he is."
Roman stepped forward to give Orton the ass whipping he was begging for when he felt a tiny hand on his back. "Don't Roman, he's not worth it. I just want him to go away for now." Cassie said quietly "Dean will be home tomorrow and I want everything to perfect, you taking his place in jail is in no way perfect."
"Listen to my woman Reigns. Just walk away." Randy said with a mean laugh as he finally backed up from them. "See you soon, doll"
