WIP Questionnaire
@surroundedbypearls tagged me here - thanks :D
Tagging @sarahlizziewrites @queen-tashie @words-after-midnight @cowboybrunch @spideronthesun + open tag for anyone who wants to join in :) I'm working on Blood Union so I'll answer for this WIP!
1. What’s the first part of your WIP that you created?
I have a notepad where I outline the main plot points/scenes that I want to write. This is my kind of zero-draft and I'll use this to write my WIP. It helps me know how to structure my story and mostly keeps the characters in check. I'm a certified planner.
2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
Most likely the chorus to Danger Angel by Larkin Poe. This song is pretty much was inspired Mave. (I'm obsessed with the live version, but the studio version works just as well!)
3. What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?
Mavis is my favourite, as I've written all of the Blood trilogy from her POV. She's fun to write as she's so different from me; confrontational and doesn't choke on her anger. Anton, who started off as a background character, has crept to the fore, and has been a surprise success. He's become such a layered person (in my opinion) and has take on a much more central role. He's just a cranky, curmudgeon who is a secret cinnamon roll when it comes to his cats.
4. What other pieces of media do you think your fanbase would share?
Most likely Supernatural & Buffy. I feel that there's a lot of crossover between these shows and my WIP.
5. What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP?
At the moment? Finding time to write. I'm either too tired from work, or have too much stuff to do, so my writing takes a backseat. I find that really frustrating. I just want a week off worok to complete everything on my to-do list, so that I can have a guilt-free black to just sit and write!
6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!
Other than demons, the main animals that make an appearance, are Anton's cats. Domagoj is a big, fat, ginger street- tom, and Božica, his prize-winning ragdoll, as well as her kittens.
7. How do your characters travel/get around?
Mavis has an old transit van that she's converted into a campervan a la #vanlife as it allows her to be mobile when on the hunt for demons. Arnauld, being a billionaire demon has a range of sportscars, and Anton, a self-proclaimed petrol-head, loves an SUV (not just because they're good for running people over with!)
8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?
I'm not even 10k words into this WIP, so still very early stages. I don't tend to write in chapters- I add them when I start doing my first editing skim- but I'm probably only around chapter 3 or 4
9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) you think will draw your audience in?
I hope- Action Girl Mave, her dymanic with her found family, her antagonism of Arnauld, and her budding friendship with Anton and his cats.
10. What are your hopes for your WIP?
That I can get it finished sometime this year, and it doesn't need too much editing 😭

Songs and Ships Tag
Thanks so much for tagging me @talesofsorrowandofruin , I'm putting this on my Writeblr instead of my main because I'm doing some OCs for this...
Rules: write about two to five songs from them that represent your a ship between your OCs (it can be platonic or romantic or a secret third thing). Then add a quote from said WIP (if possible!) underneath it.
I'm going to do this for Sierra and Shay because I'm kind of obsessed with their dynamic right now...
They both come to the situation with so much past baggage and issues, and I love how over the course of the story the perspective shifts as to which of them is the real monster (and then starts asking whether anyone is too monstrous to change, and where we go from there if we do).
The Unforgiven II by Metallica
Lay beside me and tell me what they've done And speak the words I wanna hear to make my demons run The door is locked now but it's open if you're true If you can understand the me then I can understand the you Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too?
2. Flaws by Bastille
All of your flaws and all of my flaws They lie there hand in hand Ones we've inherited, ones that we learned They pass from man to man You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground Dig them up; let's finish what we've started Dig them up, so nothing's left untouched All of your flaws and all of my flaws, When they have been exhumed We'll see that we need them to be who we are Without them we'd be doomed
3. What I've Done by Linkin Park
Put to rest What you thought of me While I clean this slate With the hands of uncertainty So let mercy come and wash away What I've done I'll face myself To cross out what I've become Erase myself And let go of what I've done For what I've done I start again And whatever pain may come Today this ends I'm forgiving What I've done
4. Gravel on the Ground by John Denver
So let's walk the road together. Who knows what we'll find tomorrow; Maybe good times, maybe sorrow will be waitin' 'round the bend. Given time, two hearts discover what they're feelin' for each other; At the best we'll end up lovers, at the least we'll make a friend. But life ain't no easy freeway, just some gravel on the ground. You pay for every mile you go, to spread some dust around. Though we all have destinations, and the dust will settle down; But life ain't no easy freeway, just some gravel on the ground.
I had to have ONE road trip adjacent song in this list given that's literally the entirety of Compass, and I tried to put these in some logical progression of the relationship?
Anyway, here's a snippet:
Sierra walks over and kicks the chair. Shane startles awake, blinking in the lowering sunlight. “Huh?”
“Got a proposition for you. You told me a pretty good story back there. Enough I think I might believe you. If I’m right, then either I go toe to toe with my agency, or I let you go. Either way, my career is most likely over. But if I let an innocent…person…die, then it ought to be.”
“What are you saying?”
“I don’t think you lied to me. I don’t know why you didn’t tell anyone else the truth already, but I think you’ve told me now. Which means somewhere in LA, a murderer is still on the loose, we’re the only ones who know that, and we need to find them in case they kill again. And I’d rather do it with you. You’re the closest witness to the crime. We need you in the middle of the investigation, not a thousand miles away. After this is over, if you still think the stake is your best option, we’ll do what’s best for you.” She leans on the back of the seat. “What do you say? Do you want to spend the last days of your life in a cell, or would you rather look the bastard who framed you in the eyes when we take him down?”
No Pressure Tagging @nade2308 @catwingsathena @telltaleclerk and anyone else who sees this and wants to jump in!

sorry if this has been asked before but i'd love to know your process for creating animatics. not only are they so incredibly fluid and perfect to the music but they're COLORED! absolutely inspiring. i'd love to know what you do for planning and editing, basically how to put an animatic together in general. i use procreate to make art but other than that i'm completely clueless on how to make animatics
ooooh okay i would LOVE to tell you!!!! So first things first I will say that my animatic process is probably not the most like. Efficient way to do it. I'm not an artistic expert and I'm very self-taught so this is just what I've come up with over the years with the resources I had.
This has ended up VERY long so I'm sticking a read more in
All that to say I have two main programs that I use, one to draw (Medibang Paint Pro) and one to put the frames together for my animatics (Davinci Resolve). These days, I have both of these programs on my laptop so I have everything on one device. Before I had my current laptop, I used Medibang Paint on my iPad and iMovie on my laptop, but the overall process is basically the same.
So. I have five main stages of making an animatic once I have a song and a character/narrative in mind.
Stage 0 is arguably the most important stage, which is deciding it's something I for real want to do. Making an animatic is a big commitment, so it has to be something im 100% on board with or I'll get bored before I finish it. So usually when I hear a song and I think "oh I can apply that to x character" I'll have to listen to that song on repeat for at least a few weeks just to iron out the story in my head, decide what moment I'm going to put with each lyric, basically plot out the narrative internally.
This stage is a bit different for every animatic. For some of them, like the Snackrifice as an example, I heard the song for the very first time and went: i know EXACTLY how this is going to go and then I went home and started planning it out immediately. Others, like Aequitas Aug, I had the song as a vague "oh this is Coin vibes" for months before Expansion Era ended and I finally knew I had all the material I would need for a full cohesive narrative. And then a bit longer to really decide "okay so the redactions are going to be at this point, the semicentennial will be at This moment" and so on.
I have a whole playlist full of songs that I COULD make into animatics that I vibe to on a regular basis, basically marinating them until I have enough content and ideas to start actually planning them out into an animatic.
Stage 1 is scripting it out: I write out all the lyrics of the song, count up how many beats correspond to each line, and plan out what I'm going to do with each section. As an example here's a portion of my script for Miguel's first animatic Autoignition. As you can see my script is often pretty loose and jokey at myself, because I already kinda know what I want it to look like by the time I start scripting it, this is just to get it down for pacing and to fill in any gaps.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Screenshot of white writing on a dark background. There are eight lines, alternating between bolded writing to signify planned action, and regular writing to signify the lyrics of the song Everybody Loves Me by OneRepublic. Line 1, in bold: Uh oh Zack is fallin into fire and hell and disintegrating ur gonna earn that content warning. Line 2, regular: And you don't have to make a Line 3: Miguel left alone at edge of Solarium :) fire everywhere :) big f Line 4: Sound 'Cause they got what you Line 5: Miguel falls to her knees for a moment, stunned. Line 6: Need. What you need Line 7: Then he runs away Line 8: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh /end ID]
Stage 2 I do my actual draft. I do every frame as a very quick sketch. This stage is where I put all my frames into Divinci Resolve and match it all up to the beats of the song. I work out my timings, I figure out if I need to add/delete frames somewhere. The majority of the fiddly work happens here in terms of lining it all up to the music. All the frames look about as basic as this lmao the idea is Quick and To the point so i get can idea of what I'm working with. Very often I'll have figures in this draft stage where, as an example, I know I'll need to put players from the Flowers or the Dale from a certain point in time, but I haven't decided exactly who yet, so they're just vague humanoid blobs.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A very basic sketch with black lines on a white background, showing two figures facing away from the camera with loose lines showing the ground exploding in the distance. /end ID]
Stage 3 is Lineart, and this stage takes the longest because I'm actually doing the proper drawings for everything. I don't do colouring yet, because this stage takes so Long and I prefer to do my colouring all in one go so I can keep it consistent. it also allows me to catch any errors that I might make in my Lineart because I get to go over it again when I colour. This is where I make my final decisions on who all the extra characters are that show up that don't Really need to be there.
When it comes to deciding Who Gets To Appear in the Animatic, there are a few tiers.
Characters that NEED to be there for plot/emotional reasons (think like Nagomi Mcdaniel appearing in Alaynabella because Layna switched with her for the Shadows)
Characters that I want to put in there for theme reasons (think Luis Acevedo in Hall Stars, I included them as a cameo because they were later incinerated and the whole animatic was about incinerated players)
Characters that I like/my friends like (Esme and Howell making appearances at the start of Aequitas Aug)
Characters that are just easier to draw, depending on how many times I have to draw them and how tired I am at the time (when in doubt, I tend to default to humanoid characters with reasonably simple designs. If I'm like 400 frames in on Aequitas Aug and I have to choose between horse person Winnie Hess and regular human Eizabeth Guerra to help represent the Breath Mints getting got, I'm gonna go with Eizabeth even if Winnie is technically more iconic and recognisable.)
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Lineart of a digital drawing showing Miguel James and Zack Sanders as humans, facing away from the camera and looking towards the ground exploding in the distance. Miguel is kneeling on the ground while Zack is standing. /end ID]
And so of course Stage 4 is Colour. I add in the colours, any lighting effects, all the extra fun bits.
My colouring is USUALLY pretty basic, to save time and effort. For colours that I tend to reuse a lot (typically sunbeams uniforms and the main colours for the various beams) I have them saved in my paint app so I can access them easily. For other players I've drawn before I usually have to bring up one of my previous drawings to reference the colours. Backgrounds are the bane of my existence and as thus are usually kept as simple as possible, and lighting is typically something I use sparingly. Basically, I take as many shortcuts as I possibly can to save my sanity.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: The above picture but with basic colour. The background is a pale orange. There are some lighting effects on the explosion. /end ID]
And voila! Off to Youtube. Like I said above, I'm sure this isn't the quote unquote 'Best' way to do it. But it works for me, and doing it in these stages give me a fun little progress video to look back on when I'm slogging through the lineart stage.
It's definitely really tedious at times, and keeping up the motivation to do hundreds of frames three times in a row can be really difficult (especially with a full time job) but it's definitely sooooo exciting when I finally finish. I publish all the draft and lineart videos on youtube as well as unlisted videos, and its always fun to look back on them to see the difference between the draft and the final finished product.
Most of all though, it took me AGES to get to the point of animatic making where I am now. My very first animatics for Dimension 20 were SO different to what I do now, and I was very lucky for a while to have a lot of free time to focus on doing it a lot. My VERY first animatic wasn't even set to a song. It was from a Fantasy High clip, and i never got past the draft stage for it.
The other part of animatic making that I had to start taking really seriously was character design credit. For Quite a while, I did not include credits for designs of players that I did not create. It wasn't until Aequitas Aug (which had an OBSCENE number of players) that I realised what a massive oversight that was. Nowadays I have a big spreadsheet that lists every Blaseball player that has ever appeared in my animatics and the creator of the design that I used/riffed off of if I could narrow it down to one or two. For some players its trickier, often because their design was consistent over multiple artists or I couldn't be sure what the origin was, but I do my best to be as accurate as possible. If you're looking to make some blaseball animatics, I totally encourage you to do so, but I would advise getting on top of credits sooner rather than later! It's so much easier to add in new characters and their designers now as I find them rather than trying to backtrack and remember exactly which picture on the wiki I took inspiration from, along with it being a lot more respectful to all the other amazing artists in the fandom.
Overall, animatics are a lot of effort, but they're soooo worth it. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me, I love to talk about my animatics and my process.

The Road So Far: Season Four
Well that was a ride.
Friendly reminder to check my tag #ashla chick flick moments to see my live commentary on every episode of Supernatural up through season 4 (so far), as well as the other 3 season recaps.
With that out of the way, let's talk about season 4.
Can I start with the poetry? If you gave me enough time, I could write a whole essay about the symmetry in this season. I mean, start with the obvious -- the titles of 4x01 Lazarus Rising and 4x22 Lucifer Rising (and don't get me started on comparing Dean to Lazarus, one of Jesus' closest friends. If you haven't read that story, please do. It adds so much). And I mean, all of the episode titles are on point this season. At least one Zeppelin song, a Peanuts reference, a Sesame Street reference (which I mentioned in my post about the episode, 4x18 The Monster at the End of This Book).
This season really highlighted how Sam and Dean have evolved in just four short years. Obviously there were extenuating circumstances to make them that way, but I feel like both characters were really stripped to their cores to see what makes them tick, and it's so fascinating to watch them react to what's happening around them. Dean is finally coming to see that his life actually has meaning, while Sam is falling apart from the life he never wanted. It's plain to see that neither of them wants to keep hunting, but season 4 has also provided plenty of evidence that hunting is undeniably in their blood.
It's also interesting to see how Azazel's plan fits into the greater storyline. I think I mentioned back in season 2 that his whole plot didn't make much sense on its own, and it's gratifying to see everything fall into place.
Once again, it feels like the writers are forcing Sam to be the main character, even though this season definitely has more Dean-centric episodes and Dean gets a lot more development and limelight. It's almost funny to think about.
Before I forget, I suppose I should pick my favorite episode. I do have to say, while this was my favorite season as a whole, none of the episodes really stand out to me as amazing. 4x06 Yellow Fever is a fan favorite, and I'm no exception, 4x17 It's A Terrible Life was incredibly light-hearted, which was much needed after On The Head of a Pin. 4x13 After School Special gets an honorable mention, but it's not on the same level as the other two. My all-time favorite episode remains to be 1x12 Faith, which surprises even me because I'm generally not a fan of overly emotional and heavy media. I tend to prefer more lighthearted stories, but Faith really hits. I've already said that 4 is my favorite season, even if the individual episodes were a bit lacking. I think I preferred the overarching plotline of this season over others; it had much higher stakes and I was much more invested in what was happening. I really felt more emotional about certain plot beats and the characters felt a lot more real. I sped through this season pretty quickly, at least in terms of how many watch-days it took (as opposed to total elapsed time since the last season). It helps that I was on a road trip, so I got a lot of time in the car, but I think I would have finished quickly anyways because the story was so riveting.
This season we got to meet Cas! I have to admit, he wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Then again, neither were Sam and Dean. I feel like I simultaneously know so much and so little about Cas compared to the two brothers, but that'll change as I get deeper into the show.
While I'm not a Destiel shipper (I know. But Dean is Ben's dad and I will fight you) I can definitely see where they're coming from. I'll probably keep making comments on it as I see it, because it really is an interesting take that could add to the show. As it is, it's exciting to see Cas evolve into a member of Team Free Will (and I'm honestly a little surprised that it's happening so quickly). Even though most angels are pieces of crap, it's still fun to see a new player on the field.
Speaking of, let's talk about Chuck. I've already had a lot of the show spoiled for me being on Tumblr, so a lot of the plot twists won't be as twisty to me. One of said plot twists is the fact that Chuck is God. Now, obviously I already know this, but what I don't know is why he's acting the way he is. Is he lying? Was his memory actually wiped? If so, by whom? Lots of fun questions, and I can't wait to see them answered.
And with that, I think it's time I wrap this up. I'll start season 5 hopefully sometime this week. Carry On!

Arty Art Things ✨
Hellooo!
I've decided to post some of the arty things I've done either recently or in the last few years, well the pieces I'm somewhat proud of at least. All my posts tend to be a lot more wordy than they need to be but hey it's what I do here!
Conchúr White
Anyone one who's been on this blog for a bit will have probably have seen me talk about this lovely Irish fella. The pencil drawing is actually a year old as of yesterday, I only know that because screenshots of me flipping out about Conchúr following me on twitter popped up in my memories yesterday. I think I'd sent it to him at about 3 in the morning (I was not in a good head space at that point in time), so probably not what he was expecting to see when he opened his phone in the morning aha
The biro version is much more recent: I got bored while sat at my desk and doing research about university courses, saw a biro, saw my old drawing of Conchúr, had an idea. I revisited my GCSE art techniques and here we are. Again, I put this up on Twitter and now (at the the time I'm writing this) when you google "Conchúr White" it's the third top image of him which is a bit mad really. I think I spent all of about 20 minutes on Conchúr but another 45 minutes on the words behind him. The words are the names of the songs on his EP 'Bikini Crops', he doesn't just really love the idea of Channing Tatum driving him around at night in a daisy print bikini... Well maybe he does but what he does in his spare time is none of my business...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TechDif
So I mentioned that the pencil drawing of Conchúr came from a rough patch in my mental health and this one is no different! In fact this one came from an even worse circumstance so we love to see it. I had a bad, bad time in July and this started as a way of distracting myself from what was going on in my head. Without it, I can't honestly say I'd still be here so even if the final product of this had been a terrible mess I would still love it for keeping me alive. However, it did not turn out to be a terrible mess!
Now that the origin of this is out the way, where do I start with TechDif? Unlike Conchúr, I haven't really talked about them on here (unless you count one brief post about Citation Needed) before so I guess I'll do it here. The Technical Difficulties are a wonderful group of 4 British fellas who have had their fair share of fun online and even before. They did a radio show at university together, which went on to become their Reverse Trivia Podcast, later moving on to a panel show called 'Citation Needed': and a game called 'Two of These People Are Lying'. All of which I would thoroughly reccomend, they're one of my go to things when I'm having a rough time. All 4 of them are excellent! Tom Scott (red top, blue jeans on the picture) has his own YouTube channel which does content aside from TechDif. If you're quite nerdy and like science, linguistics, computers, or any number of other things you may enjoy Tom's channel. He is probably best described as "The Moderator" of the group, much like a tired teacher he tries desperately to keep everyone on track with what they're meant to be doing, but usually it does not end well for him. Then we have Matt Gray (space top, holding an ice cream) who also has a channel away from TechDif stuff, he does techy electronic things and has a series called 'Will it Soft Serve?' where he puts all kinds of strange things through a soft serve machine. Matt brings a very specific energy to TechDif and I can't fully describe what that vibe is but I love it. Matt and Tom also share a YouTube channel where TOTPAL is posted and they had a series called 'The Park Bench'. Moving on to everybody's favourite Gary Brannan: Gary Brannan (SATIRE hoodie, glasses) and can I just say, what a fella he is! He's just excellent! He is the one that will argue and rip into Tom the most (not in a malicious way) and hilarity ensues. There are some episodes where he is absolutely on it, getting all the points and others where he very clearly has no idea and that's where some of his funniest quotes come from. Given how badly I was doing at the time I made this, his response to it on Twitter was so so lovely. I specifically remember one tweet where he said I'd made him happy and although it was probably a flippant comment, it just made feel alright for a bit. Yeah I might be feeling awful right now, but I've made someone else happy so that's a nice feeling. Then last but certainly not least, we have Chris Joel (buffalo check shirt, beard)! I would be lying if I said he isn’t my favourite... His sense of humor is the one I vibe with most, he can get rather dramatic in parts and can chat bollocks like a champion. He has absolutely no online presence away from TechDif and, like Rens from Temples, I fully believe he’s a cryptid and lives off in a tree somewhere.
The picture took me about 4 days to complete, well 4 nights because I did most of it between the hours of 12 a.m. and 7a.m. - I remember watching the sun come through my window each morning. It’s made up of lots of little pieces, all cut out and stuck on; even the sky and hills are made of separate pieces of paper. Nothing was actually drawn on the piece of paper it’s all stuck on, it’s not how I usually do things but if I messed up one little but I could just redraw it rather than ruining the whole thing. The most tedious parts to make were Chris’ shirt because I had to draw each square individually and then join the as well, and cutting out the ban-hammer in the bottom right was surprisingly hard. Every single detail of the picture is a reference to the podcast/shows, I still have the plan sketch and reference list knocking about somewhere. I listened to a lot of true crime videos while making it to the point that certain parts remind me of different cases: the brandy now reminds me of Peter Tobin, and the big spiral thing reminds me of Tim McLean (very harrowing case) - sorry that fact is a bit morbid but interesting nonetheless.
I did post this for a little bit back in July, but I received some rather awful messages so I took it down. Generally, Tom Scott/TechDif fans are lovely but there’s been a few that have taken a disliking to me for some reason so I’m hoping they don’t resurface again. I’m in a better head space now though, so even if they do I’m more equipped to deal with it this time.
Tumblr media
Hozier
This was a quick sketch I did in April, I was getting bored with lockdown and decided to summon the bog man himself. There’s not really much more backstory than that, no poor mental health story, no fun twitter story - he’s just here. He’s vibing. I will say I’m particularly proud of his nose, I just think it’s one of the best noses I’ve ever drawn. His hand is okay, but I think that the hands on my Conchúr drawings are better. So there is the Hozi-Boi...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Corpse Bry
I’ve talked about Bry on here before as well, I love him, he’s excellent, top lad. He is a living Tim Burton character, he’s 6′6, very skinny, and his legs are longer than my will to live. I was watching ‘The Corpse Bride’ a few weeks ago and suddenly had an idea and so ‘The Corpse Bry’ came to be. I gave him a little panda friend because the panda has always been his animal - he used to wear a panda beanie all the time and his album had a panda on the cover. Again, there’s not really a fun story behind this one, I guess it’s somewhat fun because it’s the first art I made after finishing my psychology exams in October so it was nice to actually have the time to draw.
Tumblr media
James Bagshaw
Ginger talking about Temples for the third post in a row? it’s more likely than you think! I did this one last week, I’d had a bit of a wobbly day and had group therapy on Teams in the evening and I just couldn’t concentrate on what was going on and I ended up doodling Mr James E. Bagshaw, the glitter crying fraggle man himself. It’s a bare-bones drawing that I could definitely work into more but I’m happy with it as it is to be honest. I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit and add the individual bits of fringe to his jacket, just thinking about doing that makes me tired. Maybe I’ll get around to drawing the whole band at some point...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alice in “Wonderland”
This one is from about 5(?) years ago, it’s not my typical style and was a “study” based on another artists work (basically i just had to copy this fellas work). I’ll be honest, this one has a sketchy backstory that I won’t go in to because it’s not exactly a nice one, and because of that I also won’t say who the artist is that it’s based on. Despite this, I’m still really proud of this one and I’m so sad that I never got this piece back after I got taken out the class. I’ve considered trying this style again, I’ve even joked about doing another Conchúr drawing in this style as a nod to my progression through GCSE art, eventually leading to Conchúr drawn in ink on music manuscript and stained with neon paint and dyes - it would be quite the project!
Tumblr media
So this has been quite a lengthy post so apologies about that but life goes on. Similar to the vinyl post, I’ll probably add to this as and when I make more art. Even if no one is reading these posts, I’m enjoying making them so that’s the main thing. It’s just nice to document things and the feelings that go with them. 💕
~ Love Ginger xx

1) rainbow phone case, because I'm basic like that.
2) orange-y yellow or really dark teal or Lovat green
3) I own a small gay pride flag, and an Ace button.
4) dark plum silk shirt, dark blue jeans, belt with gold buckle, black heeled boots, hoop earrings and a quartz pendant. Add my favorite wool coat and I'm happy as a clam.
5) when she laughed at my stupid joke.
6) I try, I usually pick it off, but I'm working on being better about it.
7) I used to be r e a l l y disorganized until I hit the tenth grade. I've reorganized my entire bedroom and I'm really proud of myself for it.
8) only on long bus rides.
9) my best friend in the fourth grade, Abby. I moved away in the middle of the year and I haven't seen her since :/
10) I don't crush often, but when I do, I fall hard.
11) um, basically waking up alert, go to school and finish all my work in class. Going to a bowling game and scoring over 100, going home and writing poetry while listening to my favorite songs. Play with my hermit crabs, talk to my best friends, and falling asleep at a reasonable time
12) going to a spoken word poetry event, then wandering around the city, looking at the stars and each other.
13) I really like my mom's sweet potato casserole, and also lasagna.
14) My ASL or English teachers, my therapist, or my 4 best friends.
15) being told I'm appreciated or that I'm nice to be around
16) I do like high school. I'm currently a sophomore, and my classes are challenging, but I really like the structure and what I'm learning.
17) betta fish. They're gorgeous and extremely smart. I have 4. Sherlock, Hamlet, Maud, and Valentine.
18) I like my nickname, KT, because I chose it. It used to be Katee, but everyone spelled it wrong, so I decided to drop the vowels.
19) I like cloudy days, right before it rains. Being able to wear my favorite coat without getting overheated, and you can smell the dirt in the air.
20) not really, I'm supposedly and Aries, but I act more like a Gemini or Capricorn. So I dunno
21) music taste? Never heard of it. I listen to everything, from Broadway to Indie to Classical to Rap. Only stuff I don't really like is Country and Death Metal.
22) yes, I've had my first kiss. If the pocky challenge doesn't count, this lesbian had her first kiss with a boy. A boy that wanted to literally start world war III. That didn't last long. I found out I was full gay, and he dropped out of school
23) my favorite stuffie was a pink dragon named sparky
24) I wake up at 5:15, and go to bed around 9:30
25) have a month long stay-cation in a small town in Vermont.
26) 1 dog, 2 cats, 4 betta fish, and 4 hermit crabs
27) don't have one
28) My best friends, theatre puns, stories about public school
29) depends on the kind of heavy. Wool sweaters and comforters are a good kind of heavy, but waking up in the middle of the night after a nightmare is the bad kind of heavy
30) talking to friends, writing poetry, and hot apple cider
31) being open and forward about how I feel about people and defending them with everything I can. Also many hugs
32) I haven't had a haircut since last August, and I don't intend to get one any time soon because I'm growing out my pixie cut
33) East coast. I'm a sucker for all things historical, and the weather is similar to where I live, so I wouldn't feel too out of place.
34) Friends, yes, very much, and I try to return the favor. Family, not so much.
35) absolutely not! Up until I was 12, I didn't even know what gay meant. I experimented a lot with my gender and sexual identity, but the fact is I'm just a plain ol' lesbian
36) My cat chasing me when I pull his food out of the cupboard, my ASL teacher making puns, inside jokes about spoons and palm trees, relatable ADHD posts, cursed images.
37) I literally wouldn't be able to pick. But I'll do my current top character from each kind of fiction material. Movie: Tony Stark (Marvel). TV show: Sherlock (BBC Sherlock). Book: Jason Grace (Percy Jackson)
38) Rhiannon McGavin, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and my 2 closest friends
39) Chaotic, Driven, Empathetic
40) about 30 minutes
41) Life is going to happen, and It'll be scary and new, and it will seem like everyone around you is absolutely fine. Don't be afraid to ask for help or support, because that's the best way to continue, while keeping yourself healthy.
42) go to college, buy a house, invest in college for my future children, donate to charities, reasonable things like that

49) making cookies with my best friend for a school project. We laughed so much. It was everything.
50) yes, dark chocolate especially
51) physically, I like my nose. It's a nice, straight nose, that turns up at the end. My parents both have wonky noses, so I'm glad mine looks good. But personality wise, I like the fact that I'm a good listener. Sometimes all you can do to comfort someone is listen, and sometimes people won't expect you to actually hear them, and they'll be surprised when you talk about their favorite things. Teachers like it too lol.
52) Glasses, leather jackets, cropped hair, gap teeth, bangs, music taste... I could go on and on
53) I'd recommend reading The Blue Girl by Charles deLint
