hi!!! im super late sending this cos i had a super busy weekend and start of the week and it took me AGES to read ur new chapter and to get my thoughts in order but omgggggg it was absolutely stunning

the way u flashback inside the flashback bits is so clever like wow... it took me a while to figure out what was going on at first but when i finally got it (not an issue with ur writing im just fuckin slow lol) it like blew my entire mind fr especially the looping around to waughy asking “what happens next” like girllll ur a genius

also i just rly love these two together like can we please please pleeeeease admit that theyre perfect together or are we gonna keep pretending... ross and matty have history yeah but theres a reason why ross is going back to waughy now and yeah okay its bad that hes cheating on matty but it also feels good idk like it feels right u know?? been a raughy shipper since the iliwys days and im so glad someone is finally writing about them and doing it well ur such a blessing to us i swear

and one last thing before i go i wanted to mention how much i love that waughy is the top in this relationship like... yeah looking at him and then looking at ross and seeing them together you wouldnt assume he would be the one topping but omg thats something else that just makes sense to me??? cant explain why it just does and as much as i love ross being dommy for matty i think i love him being subby for waughy 1000 times more like please thats so hot and i need more

I had a lot of fun going back and filling in the Ross gaps from the previous chapter and then looping it all back around again. Extremely satisfying as a writer tbh. It did give me a headache sometimes and I did worry it would be a bit confusing but I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! At one point I even had a mini flashback within a flashback within the main flashback. I stopped myself with that though lol

John and Ross really are perfect together. I'm quite attached to them at this point. Not only are they a joy to write but there is so much canonical shippy stuff with them. Like how many romantic and wistful photos of Ross are on John's instagram? A LOT is the answer. Anyway, happy to have you on board with Raughy because there is a lot more to come for them in the next part of this chapter 👀

And I will again defend Ross on the cheating allegations. Matty is categorically and adamantly not his boyfriend at this point so????

I love that you bring up the different dynamics between Matty and Ross and John and Ross. One of my absolute favorite things honestly. Like not only do I love dommy John, which does somehow just make sense??, but I also love how Ross gets to be a lot more versatile in this relationship. John is mostly in control but they can also switch it around sometimes, you know? Depending on their mood/vibe. They're just like incredibly compatible in that way.

Raughy might not be endgame in this story but they are absolutely endgame in my true heart. In the meantime, I'll do my best to bring you around to Matty and Ross by the end of this one. I hope.

so ! you got all these funky lil like. kemonomimi (and some that are just full-on furries at this point ksdghds. hung my woof woof) so thats fun <3 anyway. the story involves you, a 14 year old (yes. amiya is 14.), and a cast of very funky lil dudes (gn) all going thru a world that seems to be kinda like. for lack of a better term. apocalyptic? like. cities literally have to walk around otherwise they get merk'd by giant natural disasters. also there's these funky rocks that make people get sick and slowly die (my favorite character, eyjafjalla, is partially deaf/blind due to being more infected than most operators bc she didn't seek treatment for a long time </3) so its kinda like a disease more than anything bc even if you come in contact with the funky rocks you aren't guaranteed to be infected

anyway! the game plays as a tower defense game, you have multiple classes of operators (tanks, healers, rangers, casters, guards, people who can slow enemies, people who have a short redeploy time you can just throw them around the map all willy-nilly, etc.) also don't let the name 'guard' confuse you those are guys that are basically just Stronk Melee Dudes (some do arts (the magic) damage tho) and the tanks are called defenders...... it confuses me sometimes i must admit also. gacha system. rip. arknights is a lil Mean in terms of currency so u definitely wanna save if u can. pull on the beginner banner twice tho once you start it'll help ya immensely <3

anyway ! there's like. a fuckton of characters. some of them are kinda niche, some of them took the meta and exploded it (eyjafjalla eyjalter and exusiai im looking at you), and a lot are just general all-rounders <3

anyway stan eyjafjalla the only sheepie you'll need (if you ever get her she's a 6* and i just got lucky </3)

hii im just gonna throw my opinion in bcs !! i honestly dont think the way you write it is bad and i like the slowburn and i definitely can see it there. like how theyre getting closer and everything, a lot of things obviously wouldnt happen in the start before they got to know each other and yeah !

so im loving it, its one of my fav works on here as of now and i think youre doing the slowburn just right ! i think the main “problem” here is that the updates ARE a little slow considering most of the fics are one shots you can read in one go so i understand why waiting 2+ days for an update with 8 screenshots might be annoying for some people but i dont really mind ! just maybe could be a little longer so its worth the wait 😅 and its a little annoying sometimes when it FINALLY seems like theyre getting somewhere and then they just act like nothing happened like damn😓 couldve made a move already

ALSO someone mentioned hanbin seeming shady but i think thats because there are a lot of characters and you cant just be so detailed about everyone so it might seemed like it but its not the case. like when he left her at the park (?) i think.

i really hope this doesnt come off as mean, i actually wanted to back YOU up because i think youre doing the slowburn right and i like it like that ! just yeah could be longer updates but its still all good. my roommate knows ab this smau too because i be going around the apartment like “damn i hope theres an update tonight” LMAOO so yeah keep going at your pace, ill eat it up anyway ! :) sorry for rambling too much haha

duuuuuuuuuuuuuude i can't believe some people view down bad so highly?? first of all thank you for taking the time to type such a thorough answer i really really appreciate it and second of all, I swear i'll try to be quicker with the updates but i'll admit it's kinda tough sometimes since exam season is approaching but I'll do my best so you guys can enjoy down bad fully lolllll and i'll also try to make the chapters longer (since i only recently discovered that on pc you can upload more than ten images loll)

I admit at first i was kinda confused on how long this was supposed to take as other smaus on here took like a couple of months to be completed but i ended up taking soooooo much longer and about them not acting on it, don't you worry i kinda rearranged the chapters and we are soon entering their era where they realize they have feelings for one another lolll

about hanbin's character, i basically just needed an excuse to make y/n and jeno have some alone time but i think it's kinda fun how some of you are reading into it and speculating and stuff

also this did not come off as mean AT ALL i literally wanted to sob reading this you're much too nice and i'm glad you enjoy reading down bad and thank you for reading my posts even though they're not story updates lollll
