i want to learn modern greek too even though i have no reason to 😭 but it's lowkey insane to have studied ancient greek for 5 years and not to try to learn the language that greeks speak now
#i mean i know that the two languages are not the same#but modern greek is the direct (and only?) descendant of the language that i studied in school so there probably are a lot of similarities#and from what i know there are many italianisms too!! :(#i wish i had greek friends (i don't have any international friends 💀) 😭
