doing embroidery makes me feel so creative i’ll be in the middle of the most annoying stitching in the world and in the back of my mind there’s a little guy writing down ideas like ‘what if i learned ribbon embroidery’ and ‘how can i get into crewel’ and ‘what if i made bespoke doll outfits’ etc etc etc

#i will never actually DO these things but they just rattle around in there #i don't do any doll customization or anything but my best friend is super into it and my heart is just like we could do crafts 2gether #lets be clear i am NOT very skilled at this hobby it's just my favorite one of all #i watch a lot of embroidery videos (especially thread painting) and it's just like woah... everyone is so good at this #then i get back to some random daisy thing lol #the most frustrating thing about it is i am really not artistic it's super hard for me to think of patterns #or i can think of them but i can't get them from my brain and onto the fabric #it's like there's a wall between my brain and my arm i just can't get through when it comes to drawing #i just have a hard time envisioning -> drawing -> embroidering #each of the little arrows is like an incredibly difficult hurdle but the one between envisioning and drawing is usually insurrmountable #that is definitely not how that is spelled........... ANYWAY. i'm really happy that there are so many patterns out there #bc i just can;t do that step very well and it's super hard and embarrassing lol
