long boring rant below rip. honestly probably skip this one
to be honest i understand where you “big simblr” people are coming from. when you feel as if you’re underappreciated, every post where someone else is having a good time or getting positive reception feels like it’s a commentary on how you aren’t doing well. i’m sympathetic to that. but you can’t just tag everyone else with the fact that your blog isn’t getting the attention you think it deserves. everyone feels a bit bad when their post flops, but the difference is how long it lasts. if you are letting a note count eat at you, if you’re fuming because there’s a post with 100 notes on your dash while you got 9, you need to stop and ask yourself who it benefits for you to be that upset. it’s just ruining your day, and confuses everyone whose inbox you come into raging at them for not really doing anything but existing. there are legitimate problems on simblr (ex. racists, terfs), as there are anywhere else, but the fact other people are visibly happy and doing well in front of you is a problem with your sense of self if you feel angry about it. and if simblr does piss you off that badly, if you really can’t stomach seeing other people get attention, then i’m asking you to take some time off to help yourself feel better. put yourself first. don’t just subject yourself to a bad experience every day.
and if you really think someone’s a problem, if they’re so annoying you see red when their url pops up, you know what you can do? just block them. it is free and private. my blocklist is full to bursting and no one ever needs to know who’s on it and why. if my posts about reblogging stuff makes you mad, block me. if someone posting discord screenshots bothers you, block them. i find it very interesting how you guys are lightning fast to send someone hate when they talk with their friends, because how else would you know unless you were following them, or a mutual that reblogged them? this is what i’m saying is the great thing about social media: for the most part, you do not have to tolerate an environment you don’t like. you can focus your entire online experience around the people you specifically want to see. there is literally only one limitation on this freedom, and it’s that you can’t just go around asking people to stop posting something you don’t enjoy.
i’m trying to be sincere and non-judgmental here, so please get that i have also felt kind of crappy when i scroll down my dash and feel like everyone is having fun without me. and there are instances where someone is deliberately excluded from an online space, just like your friends can phase you out in real life. but the difference is that we are not all friends - a lot of us don’t know anything about each other aside from usernames. the people you follow are not trying to hurt you. if you come onto simblr every day with the mindset that everyone you follow is smugly showing off their cool sims and their friends and the cc they make, you are going to be miserable. so please stop trying to make yourself miserable. just have fun. and if you can’t do that, take a break! for your own mental wellbeing!

I wanna know all those mun views tbh
A quick warning. These views may be unpopular, or controversial, but they are subjective.
1. On formatting.
It’s not exactly essential, but its a nice way of keeping things tidy. I will not judge you on how you write at all, after all its about the writing more than anything else.
2. On OCs.
I honestly LOVE them so much. I have no idea why people frown upon them as OC’s are pretty hard to make and just think up. If you have a bio for your OC on your blog then honestly I applaud you on making your OC.
3. On smut.
I have written a lot of smut in my life and I don’t shy away from it at all. I will not however roleplay smut with Minors, and any smut that I do will be tagged and if I’m on the computer it will go under read more.
4. On your fandom.
The Merlin fandom used to be very clique. I have banged heads with quite a few who saw themselves as Elites so it did put me off the fandom for a while, but I’ve also come across some WONDERFUL Mun’s. They can get really defensive as well as once I said I didn’t like Gwen in bbc merlin and straight away they labelled me as racist. Bitch please I don’t like Guinevere as a Character anyway. :P
5. On exclusivity
I don’t see any problem with this either as sometimes a blog can get extremely overwhelming. I myself have exclusives, but I don’t close off to everyone. For example @xiburncoldx is my exclusive Lucifer and is the only one I will roleplay with, but that doesn’t mean it will be like that for every character.
6. On 'burnbookisms'/anti-blogs.
Why do they exist? If you have a problem then tell the person directly not hide behind a blog! Makes my blood boil.
7. On hate.
There is enough hate in this world. Stop hating, and start loving or Tumblr roleplay will crumble.
8. On positivity.
YES YES YES. I love positivity posts they can honestly make someones day. I am all about positive and against all of the Negative.
9. On OOC posts.
Nothing wrong with OOC posts either. It’s their blog they post what they want. If its Drama or Triggering however then a tag would be appreciated.
10. On URLs.
Its odd because you can actually sort of get what sort of blog it is when you look at the URL, which is not right because thats being judgemental, but its true.
11. On your character.
Morgana is an interesting character with so many different layers. Different muses get to peel back different layers and some of them are layers that hasn’t been peeled back before... *looks over at @blackskiesbeautifultimes * yes Mordred I’m looking at you. *Also looks at @fensuledin * and you Eira!
12. On your own writing.
I can be quite critical on my own writing. I am sometimes pretty uncomfortable with it and lack in the confidence that I am writing as Morgana
13. On following back.I will follow anyone back as long as they are just roleplay blogs. I wont follow personal, Porn, Spam, Fanfiction blogs etc.
14. On one-liners.
Nothing wrong with one liners, though eventually I would like something more in depth.
15. On tumblr.
Eh Tumblr is very green and grey. It’’s not completely great but its not all that bad. It has its quirks and faults but doesn’t every social networking site?
16. On roleplaying in general.
Roleplaying allows me to escape reality for a little while, and well your imagination just runs wild. I honestly love it with a passion. Everything thought it would be a phase for me but 10 years later and im still going :)
17. On multi-muse blogs.
I love them just as much as singular blogs!! It’s nice to choose who you would like to roleplay with! I tried once and honestly could not keep up with it. I applaud you all that run a Multi-muse blog!
18. On side blogs.
Whatever floats their boats I guess. I tried it once and kept making mistakes of reblogging roleplay on my main blog so I stopped because it got way too confusing. I have a side blog now but thats a promotion for pagan pride wales!
19. On icon/gif/image use.
I use Icon and small landscape images for my roleplay, but that doesn’t mean I wont roleplay with GIF. After all, where did all this stem from? :)
20. On 'popular' blogs.
Nothing wrong with that. However when it goes to ones head and they think themselves as Elite do I have problems with it. I hate egotistical arragont roleplayers who think they are better than everyone else.
