Hey hi hello!

I have some things to say about new merch and jo merch in general so this is gonna be a litrle longer post and actually I think I should cange my semiotics theme (which is already about jo) about how bad their merch design is.

First of all little disclaimer: this is all my humble opionion based on what I learned in my one year of being graphic design student and an artist and designer on the internet for last 4-5 years. Before going to uni I learned most of about art and graphic design stuff by reading books and watching tons of yt videos. Second of all this critic is just coming from place of love for this band because I see so mucb potential and they could do some amazing merch designs if they give it a chance and I am fully aware how expensive the touring is and why they had to cut the quality of merch products.

So far my favorite jo band merch designs are cds (that probably required some designer to make), condoms (because they are really funny, genius, nicely designed and unique merch that fit the vibe of the band and matches their songs as well) and the new tshirt from last merch drop (which design is made by one slovenian fanartist : link.

Main reason that made me want to speak up is seeing that this merch drop will only have 100 products (my friend said that could mean 20-ish shirts per size) which how big this fandom has gotten in last year is pretty really dam limited. For a limited product I am really disappointed and I hoped for more. For such a limited product that design is the most default design they could have gone for and I am so sorry for Damon because his work is goregous, amazing, breathtaking and I could talk about it for ages and how inspiring it is but this shirt design isn't serving.

If they wanted to do bare minimum of design with those 5 images here is some of my ideas (unfortunately I don't have time to visually show them to yall on a mock ups because of finals that I should be studying for instead of writing this so try to imagine what I am trying to say and demonstrate). First is just simple instead of white choose black shirt or even better a thisrt. If you want it to go a stepp further is using their name logo font (font name is Avaline btw if anyone wants to download and use it for their designs :))) and either put it how they did when they promoted the everybody's waiting or to write idk therapy sessions or anything related to the band or it can even be some inside joke.

Something like this would make design just a bit more intersting but still bare minimum but amazing for regular merch. If they want to go a step further but want to keep the long sleeves (this idea was suggested by few people I talked too) they could put pictures vertically on the sleeves. I would find it a bit cooler if it is on the right sleeve out-side and then they put their band logo (the heart one) on the left side of the shirt where people's hearts normally are.

After exams I would definitely like to try to make some designs and just limit myself with this 5 pictures and play with typography and photoshoop to make something interesting.

Another I want to mentioned is how in my humble opinion if you are gonna sell limited edition either make it really pretty or good quality or really cursed and funny with inside jokes.

I think people (and me first) would eat tshirts (but also other merch designs) with some cursed designs or just texts that say "sparklative" or "slay pose" or "I feel SloveNACE" (this 3 were suggested by amazing people in tumblr discord server) or even let Jan photoshoop their faces on most random picture. This 5 guys with their gen z humour could make and do some hilarious merch like how amazing idea the condoms are.

Last thing I want to say is how many amazingly talented fans are. I mean even Damon was so shocked and moved by amount of talent and art made in this community. Furthermore I know (some of them as online friends and mutuals, others as just artists from same fandom) who are also either graphic design students or they work in art/graphic design/entertainment fields and some of them (including myself) would be so happy to even make few merch designs or art for them for freee or for a ticket for their show. Personally I would die from happiness if I get a chance to work with my favorite band that inspires me so much everyday to the point people at my uni think I am from Slovenia and know slovenian because of how much I include them in my uni work and how much fanart and designs I made because of them in last 6 months.

I just think there is so much potential guys might not be aware of (Idk honestly because who knows what is going on backstage in their lives). But yeah they could have even asked Damon to help them with composition of the pictures on that shirt or even hire Racik to make some pretty art or any fanartist honestly. I could probably go more in depth and give more ideas how to improve merch designs the cheapest and best way as possible but still trying to keep the quality good as it needs to be. I know there is still gonna be people fighting for this shirts and people are still gonna buy their merch but just it hurts my art/designer soul seeing this bad designs when there is so much potential and they have amazing fans and amazing crew and they work with so many talnted people and they themselves are so talented and their music inspired so many and so much.

Why Paradox Live?

Yeah, I know I said I was not posting about Paradox Live anymore and considering the fact that the video was posted in October 2023, it seems pretty recent. However, I have been working on this video for AGES. I think that I will end up in somewhere in 2022(?) starting this video. I was still into Paradox Live and I had dreams to introduce people to it. Too bad that I'm a procrastinator… I mean, I could have chosen IDOLiSH7 as starting point as well, but Paradox Live had a bigger cast :)

My motivation to work on it

Guys, I'm not even kidding. I was planning to use Paradox Live to (hopefully) get some people into Argopro. The project had some difficulties and I wanted to pull people into it, so I did it in a very roundabout way. After all, not a lot of Paradox Live seiyuus are in Argopro like bro what am I even doing!? When starting with the roles of Kajiwara Gakuto (Allen's VA), there were barely any solos for Haruka (his role in Argopro). I remember downloading/ripping the audio of Orthros, because that song was barely introduced. Good old times.

What did I want to achieve with this video?

Guys, I'm just a girl who really likes sharing her interests and I'm a big fan of listening to music of several music projects because I think they are nice and they are different from other music if that makes any sense + you can listen to your favourite seiyuus!!! This was a video for my close friends because I always try to get them to listen to songs or to check out projects. This was merely a tool I used, I guess. My friends love me and I love them. In the end, it wasn't even needed because I post plenty enough on my insta story.

How I made the video

Bros, let me tell you. This was one hell of a dumpster fire of making this video. I'm not kidding. If you think you you can do it, go for it. I will never do it again.

I made the video on my phone. My phone has seen better days, y'all. I first made the template in Ibispaintx and after that I went into YouCut to put the audio over it. I absolutely hated it because you couldn't delete the files if you had the videos in draft (otherwise it will get corrupted which makes sense), but it took a lot of storage. I ended up saving them seperately per character, but the pain I had to go through everytime I made a mistake was painful.

This video is like 22 minutes long, but it took me nearly 2 years to finish it ( •̥ࡇ•̥ )

So! Once you're there, here's what you do. SOME of them work if you just select them in the line up, but others you need to actually download to watch. So, let's say we want to watch the final ep of the Kanto Grand Festival- Channeling the Battle Zone. First off, go to bulbapedia and find what the japanese title/number of the episode is. For this one, it's AG182- Haruka VS Shū! The Final Battle!!. So, go here! green highlight. Click show all.

Now, we're here. click ctrl+f and put in the episode number or title! probably number is easiest. BUT DO BE AWARE THAT THE NUMBERS ARE A BIT OFF- I think there was one japan only rleease that was never official so the numbering is slightly disjointed here and on bulbapedia? idk. BUT putting in the bulbapedia-given number should get you close enough that you can scroll to the right one, like so. We want to download the mp4 file! Again, it's a number off from the bulbapedia one. Keep that in mind.

So, download specifically the mp4! If you click on it it'll take you here. Sometimes this has the sub, sometimes the text won't show, but downloading it ensures the sub plays. Also, download in case these ever get taken off of internet archive. If we lose these then idk where else we could go.

Now! open VLC media player and go here. Media> open file> downloads > downloaded episode file > open!

AND HERE WE GO!!!

Finally, if this doesn't work, let me know what episodes you want and I can just screen record them and upload them!

Since I'm seeing anti-voting posts on my dash again, and Tumblr is even *recommending* them to me, let's be clear about this--

Voting is one of the most basic tools for participating in American government and policy. It is not perfect, but it is there.

The people who say that change is possible without voting, that protecting minority interests is possible without voting, rarely lay out a course for how those things could be accomplished.

Sometimes, they make vague promises that "activism" and "pushing for change" is what is needed instead of voting. This makes no sense. Engaging with elected officials is an inherent part of activism. Voting is a way of engaging with elected officials. Voting is activism.

No, some say. Not that kind of activism.

Okay, then what kind of activism?

Historically, the only way to accomplish change without voting is through physical force, i.e. warfare.

I was thinking about a conversation I had with a fellow writer a while back and I think it might also apply to fandom.

He was upset because his partner did not read much of his fiction. His partner was supportive of his writing in every other way--supporting his need to have space to write, asking questions about it, being a listening ear during brainstorming, encouraging him to make friends with other writers, etc. He (the partner) had never said anything belittling, discouraging, or negative about my colleague's writing.

But he didn't read much of it. The writer I was talking to wrote sci-fi, and his partner didn't read sci-fi. In fact, he (the partner) was not a big reader of fiction at all.

I told this colleague of mine something that I had decided about my own relationships: my friends, lovers, acquaintances, relatives, etc., have no obligation to be my fans. I met almost all of them outside of the context of writing. Our relationships are built on those things: common history, common non-writing interests, common social circles, common humanity. They didn't decide they liked me or wanted to hang out with me because of what I wrote. And I didn't decide to hang out with them because I thought they would read my stuff.

I downloaded the game on the website apkpure, all you have to do is go on the website, type in 斉木楠雄のΨ難 妄想暴走！Ψキックバトル and it'll be the first thing that shows up. So it looks like this:

Another website you can download it from is called QooApp, I haven't used it though.

There's a tutorial on youtube that helps you when you first start the game too, although it is a tiny bit outdated it's still very helpful.

Can't believe I'm making another post about Adf*y in 2021 but here we go...

I'm sure you all know the new adf*y page which (i'm pretty sure) adf*y skipper can't skip anymore, the one where it asks to send notifications and won't let you proceed until you let them send notifications.

I accidentally just allowed one of these notifications (not at home and using a janky mouse on a pillow, keeps going crazy), so I immediately headed to my chrome settings to get rid of it.

I'm going through blocking everything before I delete it (just so I feel better about it truly being gone lol) and I see this:

I'm thinking, what the hell is a payment handler and why is it set to allow?? That super doesn't sound good... And after some googling I find yeah, it's probably not great.

So, what's a payment handler? Basically, it's when google saves your payment details to autofill later on when you're making an online purchase. So that includes your credit card, debit card, paypal, ect, details. (Source - askcybersecurity.com) Now these are usually fine on legitimate sites but this site specifically:

You just google 'christianivory.pro' and every result is how to get rid of it because it's malware. (That picture was after I cleared the cookies it had already stored, no idea what they were)

(btw, I wouldn't recommend clicking on any of these since malware/viruses are often hidden behind fake anti-malware ads/programs)

Luckily I don't keep any of my payment details saved so I'm pretty sure I'm fine after deleting it and MalwareBytes or Windows Defender hasn't detected anything. I can't say for sure what it would have done if I hadn't of deleted it, it seems to mostly be notification spam but the fact that it was trying to access my payment methods doesn't sound all that great. Even if having the payment methods allowed doesn't do shit, I've had money stolen from me through an adf*y virus before (source - my tumblr)

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I got lucky because I don't save those things but I'm going to offer a hypothetical situation which could be extremely likely in our community specifically;

Lets say I'm a 14 year old simmer who uses their parents computer to play the sims. I've recently discovered custom content and my favourite creator uses adf*y, but since I'm young and new to the community I have no idea that adf*y can be bad and I trust this creator so they would never link me to anything that could harm my computer... right? So I accept that adf*y notification and don't think anything of it, I get the CC I really like and I'm happy. But that notification I just accepted has saved my parents credit card details. I'm sure you can guess where the rest of this situation goes.

So this is me, creator to creator, telling you need to stop. I know finding a source of income can be awful right now, but your source of income could be coming at the expense of someone else who did not agree to this.

If you think your content is worth a price then I urge you to start a Patreon, Ko-Fi or even a paypal because these are platforms that are safe for both parties and are OPTIONAL. Adf*y is not optional for the downloader.

Stop putting the younger and more susceptible people in our community at risk. As creators it is likely that we gain a larger following so stop taking advantage of that. Especially if you're older or are someone who preaches the safety of our younger members in this space, step up and actually practice what you fucking preach instead of just saying it for likes and reblogs.

I am genuinely sick of this, I've been in this community for over half a goddamn decade now and I've posted before about adf*y, as have dozens of other people and this shit is STILL happening.

I am so close to wiping my old laptop and recording myself going through creators adf*y links and downloading as many malicious things as I can JUST to prove to people that adf*y is not safe. And no, I wouldn't blur out blog names, I would specifically be calling people out on their shit. This isn't just petty simblr drama, this can actually affect peoples lives.

Reblog them, by all means, but please don't download them to your device and then upload them yourself to Tumblr or another site. If you want to download them to your device to keep for yourself to look at, that's cool too. I do that myself. My sister(@papa-evershed) and I send gifs of our menses back and forth all day every day, but I don't UPLOAD other creator's gifs to any sites without a credit. Or if i forgot whose gif it was, I simply say "not my gif. If yours let me know and I will credit." If you upload it as a reaction on a post, I'm okay with that. I know lots of people use gifs for reactions so that's understandable.

I am on Twitter and Instagram and Pinterest and I have found my gifs on all of those sites. I've even found them changed to video on Instagram. If you upload one on Twitter just put a credit. Same with Insta. I'd prefer you didn't upload them there at all but if you insist, a credit is all it takes. And I really, really, really would prefer it if people wouldn't upload them to Pinterest because so many people go there to download pics and gifs and they end up getting spread everywhere else without crediting the creator. Now if you share a LINK to one of my posts containing gifs, that's fine. That's not the same as uploading them as your own.

I never ask that anyone credit me for pictures of Aidan I find online. Those pics don't belong to me, all I did was find them. If you credit anyone on that, credit the photographer or if it's a fan pic then the owner of the pictures, not me. Credit whomever I credited for it. You don't even have to credit me for screen caps I take of Aidans work unless I did a hella good edit on it. Because screen caps take all of one second to take, it's really not hard. But the gifs take more time to make. And the HQ versions of the films I sometimes have to jump through hoops get my hands on, or my sister will jump through hoops to get it for me. On some of the interview gifsets I've spend hours searching for an old interview. Then when it comes to making the actual gifs I spend quite a lot of time on that as well. Playing with the coloring over and over again, saving four different versions of the same set until I'm semi-satisfied with it.

I just ask this of my gifs. Yeah, some of my gifs are lower quality. Those are the ones I want to spit out real quick so I make them on my S20. But I still took the time to do it. It stil required effort on my part. The more HQ ones are done in Photoshop and take significantly more time and effort. Not to mention, a Photoshop subscription costs money. So when you steal my Photoshop gifs, you're stealing something I have to pay for to even be able to create. And even when it comes to the lower quality ones I make with my phone, well, one of the reasons I bought this phone is because it has the feature on it to make gifs and this isn't a cheap phone. Trust me.

I don't want to be a bitch. I'm not a Fandom gatekeeper of content, I can't stand fans that do that. But this is different. When I spend time making a gifset and then see other people posting it and accepting compliments on MY gif (like, "oh beautiful gif" and they're like, "I know, thanks"), it makes me wonder why I bother. It's the only thing I seek credit for aside from my fic and fan videos.

I don't need to be the best Aidan account. It doesn't stroke my ego to be the first to get the news out. I don't do this to be the best blog, or to get the most followers, or to be the "biggest fan".

I ONLY do it for the love of Aidan Gillen. And to share as much as I can with other fans and try to keep their interest in him even when news and new content is dry. But credit should be given where credit is due. My fic, my videos, and my gifs.

I understand that some people doing this may not realize what they are doing wrong. I have especially noticed with fans that migrate here from Facebook. They aren't as internet savvy as the rest of us. But some of the people I've seen doing it should know better.

Sorry this was so long but I wanted to thoroughly explain. Though I shouldn’t have to explain at all as to why I want credit for MY work. If you made it to this part, thank you for reading. hi! I got a notification about the new accessory shirts u just posted today and whenever I go to see ur page it says theres nothing on it. I always have to type in ts4cc or my cc on ur page to get anything to show. idk much about tumblr am i possibly blocked? ik i reblog stuff but it's a personal system i use (likes mean I out it in my game & reblogs r 4 me 2 download later lol) i hope I'm not doing anything wrong. I haven't blocked you, and I super appreciate your reblogs, so I'm not sure what's going on!

I have a few questions that I've put below the cut, just so people's dashboards don't get too clogged.

When you say you have to type ts4cc on my page, where are you typing? Do you mean from the blog view (where your tumblr dashboard is still sort of visible behind):

The picture above is what my "blog view" looks like. That's what it looks like if you are already on tumblr, looking through your own dashboard/timeline and you click on another person's tumblr name.

My actual page looks like this:

If this isn't a navigational issue, I'm not entirely sure what's going on. A week or so ago, my blog was incorrectly marked as explicit, and none of my pages were accessible, but I sent an appeal through tumblr's support and they fixed it.

Also! If you're browsing my page on mobile, I'm not really sure what it might look like for you. I made sure my themes scaled so they should look nice on a mobile webpage, but I don't know how they might show up within the tumblr app itself. Since the CC is for a computer game, I mostly designed my pages with desktop viewing in mind.
