Jay had been retyping and revising confession paragraphs for the past three days. In all his stress, he even asked his sister for help, who only winked and said, "Just be yourself! ★"

"Thanks, Joy..." Jay thought with a tinge of sarcasm, but ultimately her advice lead to him finishing the paragraph and gathering the courage to send it:

I hope you know how much I treasure you as a friend. However, recently I've discovered a new feeling that I've been keeping secret from you, and it's exactly what it sounds like. I love you. I want to let you know because I feel guilty letting myself linger when we touch, or staring at you without you knowing it's done with romantic intentions. I... hope this doesn't sound creepy. I just want to be honest.

And... I do want more. I'd be beyond happy if you called me your boyfriend. But only if you feel the same.

I know this might be a lot to take in, so please don't feel pressured to reply immediately or obligated to say yes. I love you either way, and hopefully we can always be friends at the end of the day.
