Keith: Eeh, yer seriously experienced. 

Billy: And Keith-paisen? Leaving how your currently emitting such a ‘don’t wanna work’ aura aside, did you do any jobs before becoming a ‘hero’?

Keith: Aah, to some extent… if I could I wouldn’t wanna work, but none of em lasted long though.

Billy: What kinda jobs did you do? And which one’s the most profitable?

Keith: Did most of the major stuff you just mentioned. Food & drink ones went pretty good, there were also jobs only in the summer like being a lifesaver or car washing...

Keith: If I had to think about the most profitable, it’d be a private tutor…. Well, gave up on that after a day since it seriously wasn’t for me.

Billy: Wauw! Keith-paisen has all kinds of experience!

Billy: A private tutor though. Sure isn’t something for me either… actually, wait a second?

Billy: If I were to say ‘’Foolproof method for winning tryouts!’’, I could maybe end up teaching the kids who wanna become a hero?

Keith: Oi oi, ya gotta stop right there. Even Jay won’t let that pass. 

Billy: HAHAHA~, only wanted to try and say it♪ ….Though if I could make time for it I’d wanna give it a shot

Keith: ...Why’s making money the only thing on yer mind?

Keith: My home situation was, y’know, even if I hated it I had to make a living but...

Billy: Hm, for me it’s far from that. I’m merely saving up for the future. It’s satisfying to see how much money I’ve got so far♪

Keith: I see… Well, if you can make money and enjoy it I guess you’ll be happy.

Billy: Fufu, so it be~♪

Billy: Oh, Keith-paisen. You emptied your glass while we were chatting.

Keith: Hm? Aah, you’re right…

Keith: Hehe, time for seconds. Have the entire day off tomorrow, I’mma drink till I’m smashed~

Billy: Ah, wait wait! If that’s your plan, I’ll make you something.

Billy: I did a job as a bartender too… and since we’re on the topic, I wanna still do it sometimes.

Billy: Nihihi, I’m making it because of that favor I mentioned earlier. There’s also different kinds of alcohol in this room, which caught my attention earlier.

Billy: Well then well then, without any delay bartender Billy-kun will show what he’s made of~♪

Keith: Whatta flashy performance… Gave the impression that I was at a circus for a second there.

Billy: That’s the kind of talent you get to see on display when you summon me. I’m talk of the town for being a brilliant flair bartender.

Keith: Heeh…. Making cocktails is kinda simple either way, but you know your stuff

Billy: A real gimlet is half gin and half lime juice, and nothing else. Fufu, I sure do know~

Keith: …..It’s not a problem to have ambitions for making money however, don’t do anything too dangerous.

Billy: Eh? What‘s this Keith-paisen, are you worrying about me-chin?

Keith: Just speaking as a mentor would…. But with Jay around it should be fine

Billy: Fu fu fu~ saying something like that… You’re honestly worrying about Bolt boy and DJ too, aren’t you.

Billy: By the way, tomorrow there’s a shift from 2 o’clock, if you’d like you can come see these two in action. Just say you’ve dropped by to eat something and it’d be fine~♪

Keith: Nah, ‘m good… won’t be able to function ‘cuz of a hangover anyway

9/06 edit: I missed out on this the first time due not properly researching it, but Billy had actually quoted Raymond Chandler’s recipe for a gimlet in The Long Goodbye (1930). I edited it to be identical to the actual quote! I myself was unfamiliar with it at the time and overlooked it completely (lol). Should be fine now!

The Swing of Your Hips (Pushes me to the Edge)

You were standing in the kitchen, humming happily to yourself and swaying with the beat of the music on your speakers as you made the same recipe for the third time that day. You were tired, but almost done with the tedious amount of baking required for a party of about 100 people. You knew you shouldn’t have volunteered to make the dessert, you had cursed yourself immediately after, but Akaashi had encouraged you then. So, you focused on the praise he had given you for your bravery.

“You’re the best baker in our group. It’ll be fantastic if you do it. I’m so glad you volunteered, no one else could do it as well as you.” You quickly turned your mind away from the memory as the realization dawned on what had followed the praises being sung to you. However, your body remembered the ghosting of lips on your throat and the strong hands moving across your skin even now. You shuddered a little as you worked at the mixer you had set up in the kitchen.

“What has you all worked up?” You jumped with a slight squeak; turning, you shot a glare at the intruder into your workspace.

“Nothing.” You pouted as Akaashi looked at you, there was a slight smile on his face, a dancing light of mischief in his eyes. You knew that look better than anyone because he only showed it to you.

“I’m afraid that doesn’t seem to be the case.” Akaashi challenged lightly as he seemed to strut towards you. His long legs carried him to you long before you could create a response. So you satisfied yourself with turning away from him to work on the last of your recipe.

Hands ghosted across your hips as you watched the batter with a master’s gaze. You told yourself you wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of rising to his bait, you swayed your hips and twisted them to pull his hands away.

“Your pouting really is adorable. But I’d really love to know what I did wrong.” Akaashi spoke softly near your ear, and you could tell just from the tone of his voice that he really was concerned. Akaashi was so strong all the time, but small things got to him and you knew it all to well, small things bothered you too.

“Oh Akaashi Love, it’s nothing. I’m sorry. You just scared me is all.” You immediately turned around and placed your hands on his cheeks, cupping them to follow the curve of his jaw. It took a moment, but you saw contentment cross his features and he showed you a soft, cautious smile.

“Are you sure? I feel like you were really mad at me.” He pushed you one more time. You knew it would come, but it was still slightly saddening.

“Yes I mean it Love. You just scared me, and I’m all better now.” You pecked him lightly on the lips and he brightened up immediately, he always believed you the second time.

“Ok, I’m glad it wasn’t anything more.” Akaashi spoke softly and stepped closer to you, resting his hands on your hips as he moved even further into your personal space.

“Love I need to finish this, but we can continue in a minute if that’s ok.” You were annoyed you had to ask, but it would only take five minutes. He gave you a gracious nod and backed off. You knew where things were going, and your entire body ached for more than what you were allowing.

You heard him walk out of the kitchen and you cursed yourself for being responsible. Suddenly, these were the longest five minutes of your life.

When you finally had stripped off your apron you made your way after Akaashi. He lay on your bed, blankets snuggled around him, your favorite candles burning and the TV on the stand was running.

It ... wasn’t what you had expected. But truly it was everything you kind of needed in that moment, you didn’t realize how tense your shoulders had been until you let them drop as you crawled into the pile of blankets.

“I noticed you were really tense, I thought you might like a massage before we did anything ... to strenuous.” Akaashi smiled softly at you, his eyes nearly closed in his happiness.

“That would be amazing Love.” You smiled back and laid on your stomach, facing towards the TV. Nobody was as good as Akaashi was when it came to helping you unwind. His deft hands pressed into your back and shoulders and slowly eased the tension away. The entire time he spoke softly to you, not caring if you responded or not. He talked about work, about volleyball, about how excited he was for the party, about how happy was with you.

Your mind slowly wandered, fading in and out of what he was saying as you felt everything relaxing under his ministrations. Eventually, your eyes fell closed, and they did not open again until the next morning.

Akaashi gently shook you awake with a warm hand on your shoulder.

“The bath is ready for you Love, and breakfast will be ready soon.” Akaashi finally spoke as he got you fully awake.

It took you a few more minutes to actually walk into your bathroom to see the tub was full and your favorite shampoos and soaps were laid out on the ledges.

You had no idea what you had done to deserve any of the last 12 hours, but you decided you needed to do it again.

After washing off and soaking in the tub you got out and headed for the kitchen, only a bathrobe covered you as you sat at the island in the kitchen. Akaashi quickly gave you a plate piled high with your favorite breakfast and then sat down next to you.

“So, why all the amazing treatment?” You finally asked him after he had gotten a few bites down.

“You’ve been working hard lately, and I’m really proud of you, and I wanted to show you how happy I am to see you again.” Akaashi gave you the smile he reserved specifically for you when he was pleased with his own achievements.

“Well you’ve certainly shown it.” You responded as you leaned over and pulled him into a deep kiss.
