finally got around to subjecting myself to Rotterdam 2021 and now I get why so many people fixated on Daði that year, the song sounds like some spacetime meddler kidnapped him and his bandmates from their dressing room at the 1976 contest right before they were scheduled to go on, but damn if he isn't one of the only contestants in this who can actually sing so far

Eurovision Semi-final 2 Personal Reactions in resumee:
Spoilers of Eurovision 2023 SemiFinal ahead
Opening: The first semifinal was just a treat. Let's hope this one give us another ^_^
Daði og Gagnamagnið in the green room: Aww, they're just there vibing!! Can we have them sing today, please?
Scooch in the green room: Aww, they're back! And with the airport vibes! :D
---------------------------------------------
Denmark: I can't believe I used to despise this boy and his song because he won over Nicklas Sonne in the Dansk MGP. Now I'm convinced his song is just a good jewel. As chill and pastel like the studio version, with rotating background and all! :,D. IDK if he passes or not, but he made his best :3
Armenia: BRUNETTE, MY GOSH, this is as FAR as any Second Spot entry could do. The floating floor (reminds me of Sergey :3) and the dancebreak...If they don't accept you into the finals, it will be a total CRIME. Go girl, give us EVERYTHING! <3
Romania: A total change from the original Selecția Națională version, must say. The total beat change from an acoustic to the official version in a good mood. Just an incredible change. To pass or not, I'm unsure... :-:
Estonia: She brought the ghost piano from Eesti Laul? :O My gosh, she sings so perfectly and the scenario changing at the end. Almost like the official video! :D. Must pass to the final. NOW. One good ballad.
Belgium: The same situation I had with Reiley because of Cherine losing, but softer. And still, he brought a party. A real party, and the surprise dancer. I'm unsure if he would get to the finals, but if this means we don't get TVP in, I will agree. (Him, Piqued Jacks and Reiley won FAIR at least).
Cyprus: Not convincing in staging at first (the song itself is good, tho). But the change from water to fire (Fuego, anyone?) hyped me more a LOT. (Ps. My mts told me he was a 2022 candidate for the Australian entry with Voyager (the one year with Sheldon Riley winning :,) ;w; )...Both are into the same semis at least now! ;w;) I'm sure if talking about ballads, he gets the chance.
Iceland: Aww, Dilja's just as herself as in Söngvakeppnin ;w;. She's just as strong vocally and in energy as the song itself. She's just one of the best Icelandic entries from recent years. If she doesn't make it to the finals, it will hurt. A LOT ToT
Greece: Not a big fan of the song, both in these semis and the entry roster. But loving the stage arrangement and the use of Greek letters in it. And Viktor was hyping the entire public to sing along. I don't know about his fate, but the public will decide what to do with him. ;m;
Poland TVP: TVP, when I heard about the known special effects, I didn't think you gonna TRY a Windows-Maker-level kerfluff more than with Ochmann (all Polish JESC entries using this stuff look a million times better). And...if that's a dancebreak, I'm Chanel Terrero and Spain won in 2022 with me, Kalush or not Kalush. The cheers are giving me very bad vibes, I really hope those are just added by a anti-booing system or such, because we all know why this has to NOT go to the finals. We want to see TVP fall, and Jann to laugh at their face.
Slovenia: They came here to save the day. You guys got everyone in the vibe even with the least of staging props and just singing in the center of the stage. I swear, my mutuals will be totally devastated if Joker Out is not in the finals. Don't dissapoint us, televote, and let them enter the finals! :,3
Georgia: DAYUM, Iru. Just, DAYUM. And that's the LIVE voice, not the backing vocals. I expected more movement in the stage like in the videoclip (or at least the most approximate), but DAMN, this is something special (adding she's a JESC 2011 winner, from the POWERHOUSE of the Junior contest...). I HAVE HOPES she will make it to the finals. Like, Destiny made it. Nevena made it. The Tolmachevys did it, and so did Stefania (Dutch in 2016 but represented Greece in 2021). Finally Georgia has the CHANCE!! 🥲
San Marino: They're not ready to get left behind, must say. The choreo, the stage, the suits. They're just enjoying and enhancing the moment! Not as great as Achille or Senhit with Flo Rida, but still amazing! Even if not of my favorites, I would accept them in exchange of Solo. At least they got their opportunity in a fair way.
Austria: I already expected the staging to be as crazy and surreal as the song itself...BUT NOT THAT CRAZY AND SURREAL!! AND EVERYONE'S CHOIRING THE POEPOEPOE VERSE! Teya and Salena really are elevating the party to high levels! I know the public is loving them, but a reminder doesn't hurt anyone: THEY MUST GET TO THE FINALS, INMEDIATELY, or we are facing a possible riot...
Albania: First, MY GOSH, Albina, the Efendi/Chanel/Alessandra suit...I didn't expect it, but I welcome it still. Second, that's how you bring family spirit into the contest, let alone the Balkan vibes (Why we couldn't have this with Ronela to help her get to the finals? ;w;). The entire family is singing so well, and the song is really cool now! I sadly don't know if they will get to the finals, but they convinced me: Please, please do it!
Lithuania: Definetly a glow up from the Pabandom iš naujo version, staging and voices. This somehow still reminds me A LOT of Cornelia Jakobs (Sweden 2022), in a neutral way (not too fan of the song, but still liking it). If the "Ciuto Tuto" catchphrase isn't enough to get her into the finals, I still am unsure if she will make it, but still, the song is good! ^_^
Australia: I had HIGH HOPES for them since the release of their entry (and more after NF rock entries like Arcadia, Venom and Freedom were thrown off the window of the ESC roster). And they just SERVED IN THE MOST EPIC WAY! From the car to the entire song performance, Australia really delivered the rock we deserved (before LOTL does it this Saturday)! The best thing to finish the performance round! If they don't pass to the finals, it will be the most DEVASTATING thing ever, like, they have this energy (and encouragement for Aussies to stay in the contest)! Let them rock with LOTL and Kaarija this Saturday, please! ;w; twt.
---------------------------------------------------
Peppa Pig in Eurovision: PEPPA? PEPPA FRICKING PIG? And we thought Eurovision could not get any weirder than it already is XDXD. At least even just leading the conga she could solo Blanka. And not joking 😂😂
The Music Unites Generation act: Loving this new interval act. It's still beautiful and not as heartbreaking as the first semi one. Wait a second, are they all Ukrainian Eurovision performers? WAIT, IS THAT ZLATA FROM JUNIOR EUROVISION 2022 hanging around the star? She has grown from the last time I've seen her (Vidbir 2023)...This is just art.
The Queen Machine moment: Well, the title had it right. A QUEEN MACHINE, must say. MY GOSH, THEY JUST SING AND DANCE SO WELL. They would make Gustaph and Conchita Wurst so proud... ;w;. Bravo...!!
The Måns and Filomena second segment: This is just a good game in the Eurovision intervals. And at least most people who followed the memes or ESC itself have an easy answer for the third question XD.
The Eurovision School (the kids) segment: THE... LUCKIEST... KIDS... IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. Who wouldn't want to be in the contest and visit the entire place apart of the main stage: the control panel, the green room, the dressing rooms? ;w; One day it will be my turn, one day...
The Spain-Ukraine(winner)-United Kingdom(host) segments: Blanca PALOMA (in caps before people confuse her with the other one) talking Spanish in the interviews and explaining her "Pichona" (dove hatchling) nickname in English too (she had a JESC sister? :o), TVORCHI just being the representation of a low vs high energy pair (they just know the best...Ruslana :3), and Mae enjoying the moment (SHE REMEMBERS SCOOCH? :o)...Ah yes, I forgot, more performance spoilers are here, see ya later...
---------------------------------------------------
The moment of truth:
Albania: Aww, they made it!! The family is ready for the finals! A good placement for this Saturday and they have good points assured! :,3
Cyprus: I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! :D Andrew, we are with you!!
Estonia: DEFINITELY YES! She deserved to go!! :D
Belgium: GUSTAPH DID IT! I repeat, Gustaph made it! :3 Well done, boy!
Austria: Last Tuesday was "It's Crazy And It's Party" national day. TODAY IS THE "POEPOEPOE" National day! TwT. GO AUSTRIA! FINALLY QUALIFYING! :D
Lithuania: The Ciuto Tuto made results! ^_^ She's just happy! :D
And then...

Australia: YESSS!! YESSS!! Australia will be with LOTL in the rock roster this Saturday! :,D. THANK YOU, PUBLIC TELEVOTE! (at least for now...)
Armenia: The second spot CURSE HAS BEEN BROKEN TwT 😍😭🥲. Brunette DESERVED to be there this Saturday! :D. (Also, well, for the seventh qualifier, Noa and Brunette, the dancebreak powerhouses, are in the finals, so TVP's more screwed than it was XD)
Slovenia: MY GOSH, I ALMOST DIE!! I thought they would be done for... ;w;. But they made it! :D Joker Out is in the FINALS! :D
Wait...This means Dilja and Iru are out...NO...NO...FUCK NO... 😭😭

Now the only thing left is to watch the Finals now. Still with the hopes the first semi qualifiers will break TVP to pieces in the scoring, and at least to Germany to not FLOP in table scoring, please...
