another underrated johnny depp movie...

Secret Window (2004)

this movie is sooooo underappreciated, given that this is a movie based off of a book, not just any other book, Stephen King, uh duh? just a disclaimer I haven't read the book so I'm only basing of from the movie. I hardly see anyone talking about this movie, unless you're a Johnny Depp fan you would probably be gushing about how soft and domestic he looks, basically this is a dream come true. Johnny in glasses, plus his blonde hair, gosh I just wanna run my hands through that and feel it myself.

anyways enough about how Johnny looks. well for me, I really loved this movie I would've been more surprised if I didn't spoil myself watching the ending of it in YouTube, god if I could just rewind time that would be a good time. the first few minutes left my mind wondering what the hell happened, with Mort (Depp) muttering not to go back or something at first I thought maybe he killed someone or something then when it finally revealed what's happening i got the

moment. I felt bad, and yeah. So I figured by the first few minutes, it's not that catchy but also not too boring, but it still got me hooked. who am I kidding, the first reason I watched the movie is because Johnny's in it. the second would be the judgement after I finished the movie. I knew I'm in it bad when Shooter (Turturro) appeared on his front door, in his lake house- because apparently he was going through a rough divorce- accusing him of plagiarizing his work, a published book Secret Window and gave Mort a manuscript. So he checked it out and found out that it was the exactly the same as his book, the exact words. So Mort goes and meet Shooter to tell him that he didn't copied anything and he's got proof and everything. So Shooter threatened him if he hasn't got the magazine something bad will happen.

Oh trust me, it definitely got interesting. After their supposed meeting, weird things started to happen to him. Shooter has killed his dog so he's got no choice but to drag the police in it despite telling him not to. That inspired Shooter to do much more complicated things such as, from burning his and his to-be-ex-wife's house to killing 2 of the people who has helped him prove that Shooter is a bad guy.

That left us to the approaching ending, I would leave you hanging from here, which I think you guys should find out yourself. It'll be amazing, and if you're a Johnny Depp fan, good luck! The climax *chef's kiss* as I said, I would want to forget this movie and watch it all over again. There's this one scene that left me breathless. haaah. T'was one hell of a ride.
