She had been in the wrong. Leaving him like that after being the one to invite him out over the weekend, it wasn’t like her, or, at least, not like how she wanted to be. The guilty puppy dog act wasn’t intentional, but it still radiates off of her as if she is some celestial body and this is the one thing her tiny little world can produce. A warm, hearty dinner plate is slid across the table towards him. “Order up.” A peace offering in place of an apology isn’t exactly what she had in mind when she first realized her mistake while nursing away a hangover, but Eden had never been all too good about owning up to her own mistakes. “Hey... so about this weekend... would it make you feel better if I told you they ended up being a total asshole?” she begins with a small sheepish smile and still no real apology.
