A long road.
Pairing: Levi x Reader
Genre and tags: Modern AU, a road trip with Levi, foreplay fem reader and Levi both receiving, Levi uses his fingers, you use your hand, convertible, cute, fluff, being a couple.
Concept: You and Levi decided to take a road trip to recharge, love each other, have fun and connect with each other. After stopping at the last stop for hours, Levi fills up his car as you buy some supplies. Once you set off, you both are on a long stretch of road with no one around. Levi places his hand on your thigh, then slowly moves it closer to the bottom of your shorts. Soon his hand ends up down inside your shorts. You relax and moan out to the open road as you enjoy pleasure. After Levi has made you feel like heaven, the rain starts coming in. You pull over and close the roof of the car, but the rain is so bad you can't move on. You notice Levi is hard, so you decide to move your hand into his trousers and help him relax as you wait out the rain.
Having a road trip with Levi has been something I've been thinking about for a long time. If people like this, then I'm happy to make this a series involving smut and fluff of what happens along the road trip.
18+ material below. Minors do not interact.
You hummed along to the song on the radio, your boot tapping on the floor of Levi's classic black Cadillac convertible. You looked over at Levi as he gripped the wheel. You squeezed your thighs together as you felt yourself becoming wet. You wiggled a little to get some friction, but it didn't help.
You watched Levi reach over. Your heart leapt in your chest at the thought of his big rough hands on your thighs. You pouted when he adjusted the radio and turned it to another station just as life is a highway to come on.
You threw your arms up into the air and squealed in delight. You sang loudly along to the song and started dancing a little. You looked over at Levi and sang to him. You wanted him to join in, but you could see he was resisting to look silly.
You leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Come on Levi!"
Levi sighed and relaxed a little. He sang loudly along with you and felt himself relax. He let himself be silly with you because you were the love of his life. He adored you with all his heart and soul. So, he was happy to make a fool of himself if it made you feel good.
He turned the radio down a little once the song was done. "I'm going to pull up to the next stop. I got to fill the tank and we need supplies."
You leaned over the edge of your door. "Let's go!"
Levi reached over and grabbed the back of your shirt. "Tch, oi brat! don't hang out the window like that!"
"There's no window when the roof is down!"
He yanked you back to sit down. "There still is."
You leaned over and kissed his cheek a few times. "I'm sorry."
He slapped his hand on your thigh and squeezed. "Naughty brat."
"What are you going to do? Punish me?"
He pulled up to the pumps and turned the car off. "I'll fill the car you get supplies."
"Okay!"
You jumped over the door as Levi shouted after you. You turned and blew him a kiss before turning back and going into the shop. You grabbed a basket and threw in as many supplies as possible. You filled four bags full before returning back to Levi.
Levi looked over at you as you bent over and put things on the back seat. He lost focus on cleaning the windscreen as he eyed your bum in jean shorts. He gulped hard and wanted nothing more than to ravage you against his car.
You stood up and smiled at your lover. "Levi? Have you paid for filling the tank?"
He shook his head. "N-No, I was busy...umm...could you finish cleaning the car and I'll pay?"
You nodded. "Sure. Hey, Levi?"
He looked back at you. "Hmm?"
"You were staring at my ass, weren't you?"
He blushed. "Y-Yes."
You blew him a kiss. "Good." You carried on cleaning the car for Levi and noticed a car pull up with a bunch of young guys in. You sighed and carried on cleaning. You winced when one whistled at you. "Damn idiots."
Levi walked back over to you and helped you out. "You okay?"
"I got whistled at, but it's okay. I just ignore it."
Levi clenched his jaw. "What? That's not right!"
You sighed. "Levi, it's not worth it."
He stormed towards the men. "I'm going to have a word."
"Levi!" You let out a long sigh and watched Levi talking to the men. You jumped when he punched one in the face after a while, then kicked the other hard in the balls. You felt a burn go through your body. "Oh...oh that was hot."
Levi returned to you with a sigh. "Bunch of shitheads."
You blushed. "You were...wow." You laughed nervously. "Thank you?"
He frowned a little at your response, but then he noticed how you rubbed your legs together. "We should head out."
You nodded. "Y-Yes." You got into the car and whined a little as Levi drove off. "You didn't have to do what you did. They're just a bunch of dicks wanting attention."
He reached over and placed his hand on your thigh. "I wanted to defend you." He slid his hand up closer to the edge of your shorts. "I love you. Plus, they should treat everyone with respect."
You nodded. "You're right."
Levi looked around and saw the road was long and empty. He hummed as he ran his fingers down the inside of your thigh and squeezed hard. He squeezed over and over. He looked over at you as you panted and whimpered.
He held back a smile at how good you were reacting to him. He slipped his pinky finger under your shorts allowing him to lightly run it over the band of your underwear. He noticed you hand lace on today, which he loved because the texture was so nice to touch.
Levi moved his hand over your crotch and began moving his hand up and down with long loving movements. He looked over at you. "Can I keep touching you?"
You sighed and hummed. "Yes, please. Don't stop."
He smiled and looked back at the road. He gripped the wheel with one hand as he moved his hand up and down. "Be a good girl and unbutton your shorts."
You fumbled with your shorts. "Y-Yes." You pulled the zip down and took Levi's hand and pushed it inside your shorts. "Levi."
Levi ran his fingers up and down your soaked underwear. "I really did turn you on, huh?"
You whimpered. "You did."
He hummed as he ran his fingers up, then down into your lace underwear. His fingers parted your wet lips and ran down to your pussy. He teased your opening before running his fingers up to your clit.
You leaned your head back as your thighs squeezed together. You rolled your hips against Levi's fingers as he traced patterns on you. You gripped the top of your door as your body slipped down in the leather seat.
You looked over at Levi and whimpered. "Levi."
Levi glanced over at you. "Good girl. Don't worry, I won't tease you. I always give you what you need."
You slipped your hand down and placed it on Levi's. You nibbled your lip as you guided Levi's fingers. Levi didn't need help because he always knew what he was doing, but you liked having your hand on his as you moved together.
You clenched up and wiggled a little. You panted and whined as fire built up inside you. You leaned your head back as you heard the rumbles of thunder in the distance. You ignored it and moaned as your coil tightened up.
You squeezed your toes tightly and hummed in delight. You gripped Levi's hand tightly as you felt a rush of euphoria burn through you. You cried out to the empty road as you let the sweet bliss wash over you as Levi kept moving his fingers to help you ride out your pleasure.
Levi pulled his fingers from you and licked them clean. "Always delicious."
You looked over at him as you panted. "That was really surprising of you."
He looked up as the rumbles continued. "I need to pull over." He drove to the side of the road and got out. "And anyway, I wanted to touch you and make you cum."
You blushed. "Well, you always do an excellent job of that." You knelt up and leaned into the back as Levi put the roof back. "Do you want something to drink and eat?"
"Sure."
You grabbed some snacks and a drink to share. You sat down and hummed a little to yourself. You smiled at Levi when he got back in just as the rain started. "Looks bad."
Levi sighed and saw the rain coming down heavy. "We might be stuck here."
You handed him the drink. "That's okay." You put your window up, then leaned over Levi and put his window up. You paused a moment and looked down at Levi's lap to see his erection. "Oh." You looked up at Levi's blushing face. "Did making me cum make you hard?"
He gulped hard. "Yes."
You slid your body over and sat across his lap. "How about..." You undid his belt. "I make you cum."
He shivered. "Ah, but the mess."
"I have wet wipes. I'm prepared because I have a lover who likes clean things."
He moaned your name as you pushed your hand into his trousers and ran your hand up and down his boner through his boxers. "You feel so good."
You smiled. "Is all this for me?"
He nodded and whimpered. "Always."
You ran your lips along his jawline to his ear as you ran your hand up and pushed it down into his boxers. You bit his earlobe as your thumb ran over his hot tip. "Mmm, you're leaking. You really are desperate for me."
"You're so perfect."
You kissed and licked a line up his neck. "You are so wonderful." You moved your hand up and down. "So thick, hot and hard." You moved your hand a little faster. "You wanna be inside me?"
He nodded as he whined. "Yes."
You lightly held his neck and made him look at you. You smiled at him, then crashed your lips against him. You nipped his lip and pushed your tongue into his mouth. You moved your hot tongue with Levi's, the two muscles moving in passion and desire.
You pulled back a little and tapped your forehead against his. "I love you."
Levi whined. "I love you too." He moaned your name. "I love you so much."
You kissed along his cheek to his ear and told him all the things you knew he loved hearing. "You feel incredible, Levi. You fill me up so good. I'm aching for you."
Levi started fucking your hand. "I want you."
You moaned against his ear. "You have me. Fill me up with your cum. Fill me. I need it."
He mewled at you. "I'll give you everything."
"Good boy."
He panted. "I am. I'm a good boy." He moaned your name. "I'm..." He closed his eyes and scrunched his brows together as he coated your hand in his hot cum. "F-Fuck."
You carefully pulled your hand out of his trousers and slipped over to your seat. You opened your bag and used your wet wipes to clean you and Levi. You smiled as Levi panted and hummed as he came down from his high.
You looked up as the rain hammered down on the car. "Good job the rains loud and the road is empty, huh?"
Levi looked over at you and smiled. "Yeah." He reached over and cupped the side of your face. "Come kiss me."
You leaned over and kissed him. "I'll give you all the kisses." You sat on his lap again. "Oh, the windows are all steamed up." You giggled. "Sexy."
Levi purred at you. "There much room in the back?"
You looked into the back and nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"Want to rock the car?"
You stared at Levi. "With every fibre in my body, yes."

Just for fun (and to make these easier to find) I have made a compilation of JSRF quotes!
I did find the quotes from this video by RisingSonic17 on YouTube. I do suggest watching it as it gives more context to the lines:
youtube
Keep in mind that some interactions may be missing, as I have never played JSRF and may be unaware of some interactions. Characters and their quotes appear in chronological order according to the video.
Corn:
"This is the GG's Garage. Hey, where's our pizza? Huh? You're not the pizza guy? Oh, you're here to join the GG's, eh? Heh... Tell you what. Find Gum. She's the one you wanna talk to. Just get close to her and pull the 'Right Trigger'. Got it?"
"Why don't you talk to her now?"
"Now, just 'cause you're new don't mean you can act like a big baby. The police are tightening up here, especially since the Rokkaku took over the police force. I know we look crazy 'n all, but even we know to pick our fights. So don't mess things up for the rest of us, got it?"
"Roboy's training changes as your skill level changes, so be on the lookout."
"I had a feeling Poison Jam would have their hideout in the sewers beneath Rokkaku-dai Heights. This is it... looks like the time to throw down has finally come."
"Man, those Poison Jam freaks are out of control. I say we start on Chuo Street and cover everything to Rokkaku-dai Heights and 99th Street in our graffiti. Chuo Street is probably the best place to start."
"Roboy told you, right? If you find a Mystery Tape, you gotta check the GG-notebook. It'll tell you where to find the Graffiti Souls in the area."
"Where the hell is Yoyo? Maybe he freaked out and skipped town? I'm sure he's alright. But we gotta take care of those Immortals. They've been walkin' around like they own the place. We gotta go and cover up all their graffiti."
"I'll send those Immortals back to the grave as many times as I need to!"
"We'll stop those Noise Tanks!"
Gum:
"Poison Jam knows something about Yoyo. I know they do."
"Damn! Punk, I'll get you for that!"
"The fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
"Here they come. The crazies from the Golden Rhinos. Concentrate, and watch your back. These guys ain't no joke."
"We gotta protect the streets. That's not a choice. We can't let these fools just waltz in and take over."
"The real enemy is your own fear. Remember that."
"So you're the cat that wants to join us, huh? I don't know where you're from, but the streets are tough. Real tough. Let's see what you're made of. We'll start you off nice and slow. Let's see how much air you can grab. Press the "A Button" to jump."
"Dogenzaka Hill is GG territory. I heard there's some headphone wearin' freak creepin' up here. If I could just find him, I'd show him what's up...."
"You can do it, can't you?"
"There are a couple of places in Shibuya Terminal where you can get on the roof of some buildings. You can get there by jumping from a Grind. You should check it out. Who knows what you'll find up there? When you're looking for something, the best place to start is the Map. You can see it by pressing the START button."
"The area of 99th Street is built around a tower that has a bunch of places to Grind. Definitely check that place out. There are also telephone poles to Grind and billboards to Wallride... the most important thing is to just try everything out. Oh, and don't forget to check the map by pressing the START button. That should give you some helpful hints"
"We actually found Roboy in a dumpster. Corn fixed him up real nice."
"I've been lost in the severs before. Its kinda crazy in there, but as long as you keep moving up, you'll be ok."
"Yoyo just can't chill and stay out, can he? He'll be back soon, I'm sure. I heard the Immortals hang out in the skyscraper district or something..."
"Actually, they say Roboy is actually a Noise Tank prototype. Don't tell him that though, ok? We don't wanna make him cry or nothin'. In any case, we're gonna get those damn Noise Tanks."
Yoyo:
"Those tracks should connect Sky Dinosaurian Square to the edge of the skyscraper district..."
"I hear that Poison Jam's woman leader has been showin' her face in town."
"Man, the Rhinos gotta be pissed off!"
"Shibuya Terminal is in a state of panic. I really wanna stay out of this, but we gotta go over there and take care of business."
"Don't use your eyes. Just try to feel it, ya know?"
"Graffiti has the power to wake up the energy that's asleep in the streets of Tokyo. The Rokkaku Group... the police... they don't know what's up. So let's just cover this whole place in art, yo."
"Yo, you know that dude Hayashi from the Rokkaku police force? That guy is one messed up dude. He's a complete psycho. Watch out for him."
"I heard through the grapevine that some weird-lookin' girl's been hangin' out at Rokkaku-dai Heights."
"So you think Poison Jam is after us?"
"We gotta get the Doganzaka Hill goddess statue that Poison Jam took. We better hurry, or things are gonna get real ugly."
Beat:
"Anything go down while I was gone?"
"I've always thought that thing in Shibuya Terminal was nasty lookin' anyway! Let's do a little redecoration."
"Sometimes, you just gotta get moving or else nothin's gonna get done, yo.
"Hey, I've heard of you. You're one of the GG's, huh? Tell you what... I'll race you. If I can beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, then this place belongs to me. Got it?"
"Hope you won't regret that."
"Shibuya Terminal? Now that you mention it, there was this huge guy wandering around there... And fishy graffiti? That sounds familiar, but I didn't really look close enough to see if the graffiti that the fool was paintin' actually looked like a fish or nothin'."
"Hey. Is it true Poison Jam used to cause trouble in Chuo Street under a different name?"
"Rapid 99 of 99th Street. They don't show their faces in public very often. Some say Rapid 99 and Poison Jam are sworn enemies because something big went down a while back. I don't know the details, though. A friend of mine told me that the girls in Rapid 99 are real lookers. I just think he was too scared of 'em to say otherwise. In any case, it ain't gonna be easy to find 'em."
"You meet Rapid 99 yet?"
"Noise Tanks? Never heard of 'em. But we gotta find Yoyo. I'll go through the sewers and check out Kiboganoka Hill."
"Those Immortals really get on my nerves..."
"Crazy stuff is going down all over town! Looks like it's time for a little clean up... GG's style!"
Combo:
"Time to get serious."
"This kid's kinda funny."
"This time we should be able to tell if it's the real one or the fake Yoyo just by talkin' to him, right?"
"That crazy guy?! What're you talkin' about? He looks nothing like me. Besides, we don't got time to deal with that fool. Remember? The Golden Rhinos??"
"Well, they told us to come. Don't look like we got any choice."
"There are some things that you can only feel when you're out in the streets, you know?"
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. I'm guessin' it was you... Its on! If you loose, you're gonna be answerin' to me from now on, punk!"
"You think you can do this too? Let's see it!"
"Man, you're not all that. Here, I'll show you one more time."
"The deep end of the sewers is closed off because it's contaminated. At least, that's what I heard..."
"Hey, why you gotta go out and get a dog?! There's only one thing I hate more than dogs, and that's goldfish."
"I heard Rapid 99 used to run under a leader named Cube..."
"Thing that ticks me off most is, the Immortals ain't worth all this talk and trouble. I wonder if they got somethin' to do with Yoyo's disappearance?"
"There's a bunch of real big guys with real big attitudes causin' a big scene over on Highway Zero. Maybe they might know something about the Noise Tanks. Man, where the hell is Yoyo?!"
Rynth:
"What is UP with Yoyo, anyway?!"
"Hey, Graffiti Souls are a big commodity, right?"
"I don't care if it's a golden rhino or a blue hippo, I'll send 'em right back to the zoo where they belong."
"What's their master plan? I mean, the Golden Rhinos don't seem like their just out here to run the streets, you know what I'm sayin'?" (This quote was spelled like this in game. From my knowledge it should be "they're just out here...")
"Here comes Gouji. Let's end this."
"Did you get all the Graffiti Souls? We still got a full laundry list of things to take care of, you know."
"Hehehe... So this is your hideout."
"Poison Jam are... kinda cute!"
"Is it just me, or does Captain Hayashi not look like he eats his breakfast?"
Poison Jam:
"I don't think Yoyo's that kind of a person."
"I think hes hiding something."
"This feels like a trap. Be careful."
"Someone's after DJ-K?! You sure about that?!"
"Gouji Rokkaku is kinda interesting. But, I think he went a little too far this time..."
"I love everything about Tokyo... even the things I hate."
"Hur hur hur. You want to get rid of us, don't you? Nothing in life is free. You gotta work for it. Beat us in this race and we won't mess with you anymore."
"Har har har!! I told ya'll you were a bunch of wussies!"
Rapid 99:
"ghahah! Next thing you know, you will be all crying like a baby."
"If you can win a flag battle against us, I'll tell you where Poison Jam' s hideout is."
"Suit yourself."
Garam:
"I won't hold back."
"Hey. Keep it real."
"There's this lightning-quick girl over at Kiboganoka Hill. Dunno if she's still there. But man, I gotta say, I'm really trippin' out over Yoyo missin' and all."
"When it comes down to it, the Immortals are just dried up mummies, man. I bet they all nasty under those bandages."
Boogie:
"The Noise Tanks might look strong, but they're like cheap action figures! Just run into them and they fall apart! Oh yeah, that girl from the stadium... I heard she's been lookin' for us. You seen her yet?"
"Aww man..."
"The fortified residential zone... it's directly attached to the underground sewers. Man. I don't like that place at all."
"Is that dude in black even human? My heart's pounding... I don't know why."
"You're never as good as you can be! Don't slack off!"
"Y'all are crazy!"
Jazz:
"This doesn't look good."
"Alright. Stay cool."
"Yeah.... we were a little too laid back this time, I think."
"The fortified residential zone... hey, why don't we pick numbers to decide who goes?"
"It's about time the Rhinos brought things up a notch. We better be ready to get real serious too."
"What the hell IS that big thing, anyway? But, you better watch out for that fool in black..."
"If you get a "Jet" in the Trials, you can even use people who aren't here to take out into the streets."
"You're one of the GG's, right? Then tell this fool that they got the wrong girl! They think I'm one of you guys! So, they dragged me out here and looked what's happened to me!!"
"Hurry up! Tell him that I'm not a GG!!"
Noise Tanks:
"Hey, you're that GG that helped me out! Thanks for that man. Say... there's something that I've been wondering since then. You wanna find out who's the fastest? I KNOW I can beat you. Let's give it a shot!"
"Alright. Fine. See ya."
"I'll get 'em good no matter what!"
"The more worked up we get about this, the harder it'll be to find what we're lookin' for."
"There's somethin' not right about the way the Golden Rhino's are actin'."
"Why are those Golden Rhinos going after the Radio station? Well, make sure to be on the lookout for Captain Psychopath."
"We gotta save DJ-K! I can't stand listening to this music anymore!"
"If this town could talk, what poetry it would speak..."
"Ready?"
"Practice all you want, it will not make a difference."
"It is not over yet. Prepare yourselves."
"Heh... Go on. Fight!"
"Are you ready?"
Special interactions:
"Sometimes it just doesn't matter how much you practice."
Slate:
"Dude. I'm bored. Entertain me."
"Hmph. What a bore."
"My sources tell me that the Noise Tanks and the Rokkaku Group are in this together. Be careful."
"So is that Clutch guy in with Rokkaku too? Or is he just a little punk?"
"I'm about ready."
"The Golden Rhinos are really startin' to get on my nerves..."
"I got better things to do than play house with Gouji Rokkaku, but man, that big ugly thing has GOT to go."
"Graffiti Souls' sole purpose is to be sought out."
Clutch:
"You're looking for that kid, Yoyo, right? Tell ya what, if you go out and get some Graffiti Soul points... Hey! Wait a sec, you've already got quite a few. Lemme see those... Sucka! Thanks for the Graffiti Souls! See ya around!"
"Hah, hah! I look forward to it!"
"I dunno, but I just don't get what's going on here. Heh..."
"This Gouji Rokkaku dude is pretty funny!"
"Haaaahaha! Tokyo ain't half bad!"
Cube:
"If you can beat me at my own game, I'll leave you alone."
"Suit yourself."
"The fortified residential zone... Unless you're absolutely sure of your skills, you should stay away from that place."
"I've dealt with the Golden Rhinos once before. If you don't take them seriously, you're as good as dead."
"I can't stand even looking at that thing. Its just so... so... damn ugly!"
"Yeah. You just have to try everything with an open mind."
Beat to Corn:
"So you're the leader of the GG's? Heh... How's this sound? If I beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, you and your buddies have to answer to me from now on. If you beat me... well, we'll just see when it happens."
"Huuuh? You're so boooring..."
Talking to Beat in the garage before fighting the police:
"Anyway, I'm ready to rock. But what's up with that pooch, eh? Where did ya pick him up? You sure that's not the leader in disguise? Heh heh. Its only a matter of time before I become the leader of the GG's anyway."
Combo to Gum:
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. Was it you, princess? You've been a bad, bad girl. You've better hit me with everything you've got, 'cause I ain't gonna hold back just because you're a girl!!"
"The cue tone get you all jumpy?"
"You liked that, eh? I'll do it again for you."
Yoyo to Rynth:
"You're... like... you know... yo."
"Where'd you come from?"
Gum to Rynth:
Rynth to Beat:
"Cool. Welcome aboard."
"You kinda... smell weird."
Garam to Boogie:
"Hey. I'm next in command around here, little lady. The name's Garam,"
Combo to Boogie:
"This group is growing bigger every day. Fool just dig me, I guess."
Gum to Boogie:
"So you're the one from Kiboganoka Hill, huh? Well, this is the GG's. What you see is what you get. Just be yourself, you'll be cool."
Garam to Jazz:
"Well, um... I... uh... be cool."
"That freak who's been making all those weird tags... you think he's connected with the Golden Rhinos somehow?"
Boogie to Garam:
"Alright. Stay cool."
Jazz to Garam:
"I feel ya, but I think you should try to chill a bit. Keep it together."
Corn to Clutch:
"What a fool. But the fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
Jazz to Clutch:
"Don't push your luck."
Beat to Clutch:
"You just wanted some attention from us, right? Aww..."
Combo to Clutch:
"Man, you're such a jerk I almost like you."
Garam to Clutch:
"One of these days, I'll get you one-on-one! Just you and me, fool!"
Boogie to Clutch:
"Fine. I'll let you off just this once."
Slate to Clutch:
"Heh... Stay outta trouble."
Corn to Yoyo:
"Long time no see, bro."
Clutch to Yoyo:
"So you're that Yoyo guy, huh? Heh..."
Jazz to Yoyo:
"So, you're the real deal, huh? 'Sup. I'm Jazz."
Combo to Yoyo:
"You gonna go and try to get back into shape, huh?'
Garam to Yoyo:
"Heh... I caused enough havoc for the both of us while you were gone, bro."
Rynth to Yoyo:
"The most unbelievable stuff was happening while you were gone! Hehehe..."
Yoyo to Slate:
"Hey, sorry about all that, yo. My bad. But thanks to those fools, I'm all out of shape now. Maybe I'll go out and cause a little havoc to warm up, yo."
Yoyo to Jazz:
"Man, things have sure gotten busier sice I was last here?"
Gum to Beat:
"That fool dressed in black who's been hanging around Chuo Street... now that I think about it, you guys kinda look alike."
Clutch to Beat:
"In times like this, you won't fall as long as you look where you're going. Heh heh."
Garam to Beat:
"Hey, you know that guy everyone's been saying looks like you? Well, is it you?"
There is some cutscene dialogue missing from these lines. If I can find all the cutscenes, then I'll be sure to add them.

Angst Prompt
Dawn’s Early Light
(Part Three to One Fateful Night)
As requested by many of you.
Tumblr media
(Liam x OC) in a one shot continuation of the angsty One Fateful Night.
A/N Here's some happiness to the angst so many sent messages about. I know it is still bittersweet in a way, with Riley being dead and all, but I think it gives our favorite prince a chance to find true love after all. On another note, I had at one time considered Liam meeting someone in Washington D.C. in another story where Riley died the night of the Homecoming Ball in Book 2. I guess this makes up for deleting it and never posting, LOL.

Dawn’s Early Light
Somewhere in Maryland...
"Sir?"
Liam grimaced at the voice coming through loud and clear from his cell phone. The one time he convinced Bastien that he could travel on his own and the man still made certain to call every hour.
"Yes?" He huffed.
"Your current location?"
"That at the moment is a little difficult to pinpoint." Liam squinted through the pouring rain. "One of the roads was flooded and the numerous detours have sent me further east of D.C."
He could hear frantic mutterings in the background, papers shifting and clicks from computers.
"Pull over and we will try to locate you." Bastien ordered.
Liam looked about at the flour lane highway, barely able to see five feet ahead of him. "There isn't a spot to do so. I'll call once I find a safe place."
"Your majesty," he could hear the frustration in his Head of the King's Guards' voice, "this is why I insisted we fly down together."
"And I knew this was my last chance to take a road trip of sorts." Liam countered. "You worry too much, Bastien."
"And you don't worry enough." Bastien muttered. "If you haven't found a place within the next hour, I am coming to find you."
"Make sure to bring a rowboat." Liam teased. "That's probably the best way to travel here."
His jest was met with silence.
"Bastien?" Liam glanced down at his phone and saw the call had dropped. Tossing it back in the passenger seat, he continued on down the road.
*****************
Outside of Annapolis...
"No!" Autumn pleaded when her tire burst. "You've got to be kidding me!"
Pulling over onto the shoulder of the highway, she tried to call her parents.
"Gee, thanks for no bars." She grumbled, chucking her phone back into her purse.
Reaching for her coat she prepared herself mentally to change her own tire.
Why did Dad have to make it so boring? He knew I wouldn't pay attention!
It had been ten years since she had sat through that lesson, day dreaming of the cute guy who sat next to her in chemistry class.
And just like her lack of luck with Mr. Chemistry, she was about to fail miserably with her tire.
She pulled the flashlight and tools out her father insisted she keep in her vehicle at all times and stepped out into the rainstorm.
"Any creepy serial killers out there," she yelled towards the darkened woods that lined the highway, "now is NOT the time to mess with me!"
She paused in removing the jack from her trunk. "That goes for any wild animals unless you're the helpful kind from fairy tales."
She snorted at her own joke as she set reflectors along the road. "And if you know of any princes, do send them my way."
"Alright car, you and I have been through it." She patted it's side. "All the snow storms in Pennsylvania. New jobs. New apartments. Ex boyfriends." She knelt by the flat tire. "Let's get through this and I'll treat you to a tank of premium gas."
She removed the hubcap and blinked when a pair of bright headlights pulled up behind her.
"Didn't I specifically demand no serial killers?" She muttered to herself as she saw the silhouette of a man start walking her way.
"Pardon me?" A cultured voice called out. "Are you in need of any assistance?"
She lifted her hand to shield her eyes from the light. "I wouldn't say no to some help."
Her mystery person stopped a couple of feet away from her and studied her tire.
"Where's the jack?"
She handed it to him and watched as he expertly began to raise the back end up.
"Here's the tool kit." She handed it over, discreetly keeping a screwdriver in her hand in case he was a psycho.
"I hate to keep you out in the rain, but could you shine your flashlight here so I can remove the lug nuts?"
"Right. Of course." She dutifully lifted it where he directed.
"Perfect." He turned to smile at her. "Thank you."
She blinked at how handsome he was. "I, no problem. I should be thanking you."
"My pleasure." He looked around. "I don't suppose you know where we are, do you?"
Oh no. A hot psycho. Just my luck.
"Um, don't you know?" She took a cautious step back.
"I've never been in this part of America before." He explained, unaware of her trepidation. "I lost GPS about two hours ago."
"Oh." She relaxed and stepped closer. "We're about forty-five minutes from Annapolis.
"How far is that from D.C.?" He asked.
"About forty minutes or so depending on traffic." She tilted her head. "Let me guess. You're a politician or aide of some sort."
He chuckled. "Not really."
"You certainly don't sound like the men in Washington."
"Oh? And how do they sound?"
"Arrogant jerks. Every last one of them. Even the mailroom guys act like they rule the world." Her nose wrinkled.
"Ah." Her handsome stranger removed her flat tire and placed the spare on. "Not fond of men in power, I take it."
"Not really." She squatted next to him, hoping she would remember his actions in case she had another flat tire some time in the future. "I guess there's bound to be one man out there who actually wants to serve the people instead of having them serve him."
"I see." He glanced over at her. "I like to think there are honest rulers out there."
Her brow furrowed. "Rulers?" She studied his profile. "You're not American, are you?"
He shook his head. "No."
"Where are you from?" Her eyes narrowed in thought. "Your accent is hard to place."
"Cordonia" he grunted as he tightened the lug nuts. "Have you heard of it?"
"It sounds familiar." She muttered.
"It is a tiny but beautiful country in Europe." He explained.
"Isn’t every European nation?” She teased. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard of of one that I would turn down a vacation to.”
He began to lower her car back down with the jack. "All done."
"I don't know how to thank you." She pushed her wet hair back, wondering how horrible she must look as she picked up the safety reflectors
"No need." He smiled warmly. "Have a good evening, my lady." With an instinctive bow, he turned and walked back to his own car.
"My lady?" Her lips quirked with humor. Perhaps the fairy tale animals had sent her a prince. "Hey! Wait!"
He paused with his car door open. "Yes?"
"There's an all night diner a few miles ahead." She took a deep breath. "Would you like to follow me there? We could dry off and I could buy you a piece of pie as a thank you."
Her hero's smile grew brighter. "I'd like that. Lead the way."
********************
"I'm Autumn." She held her hand out as they waited to be seated.
"A pleasure to meet you. My name is Liam." He took her hand and bowed over it.
"Is that how people greet one another in Cordonia?" She asked.
"It is the norm from where I grew up." He responded with a sheepish grin.
He shook her hand. "Is that better?"
"Your way was fine." She glanced down at their clasped hands. "I just feel a little under dressed for such a proper greeting."
"Nonsense." Liam continued to hold her hand. "A little water logged perhaps, but lovely nonetheless."
Her lips parted in surprise.
"Just the two of you?"
The pair turned toward a waitress.
"Yes." Autumn replied. "Just us."
"Follow me." She sat them at a table and handed over some menus. "What can I get you to drink?"
"Coffee, please." Autumn replied.
"I'll have the same." Liam added.
"Coming right up."
*********************
"Autumn?" Liam tested her name. "Were you given that name due to being born in the fall?"
She shook her head. "My parents have a warped sense of humor. I was born in April."
He laughed causing her to smile once more.
She thought his laughter had such a warm encompassing sound that made her want to hear it often as she could.
"They also wanted to have their kids' initials for Pennsylvania." She rolled her eyes. "My older brother, Patrick, took care of the P while I completed it with an A." Her own laughter bubbled out. "Then my unplanned younger brother was born and threw those initials out the door."
"What did they name him?" Liam asked.
"August, since he was born in January. Being that he was a surprise, they went with another A name to have an, aaahhh, moment at the end of P.A.."
Liam shook with his laughter over her parents. "They sound delightful."
"They sound that way," she teased, "but when you live with them..." Her smile softened. "They really are great parents and my brothers aren't too bad either."
"I have an older brother." He told her. "Leo and I were never as close as I wished we could have been. He spends so much time traveling and exploring the world that I don't have the heart to pressure him into coming home more often." A sadness came over him. "I've never seen him so happy as when he sends me pictures from his latest adventure."
"He's a wandering soul." She added.
"Precisely." Liam refocused on her. "And a wanderer withers and dies if tied down."
"What about your parents?" She asked.
"My mother died when I was very young and my father passed away about five years ago." He explained. "I'm close to my stepmother, Regina. She and Leo are all I have left for family."
"I'm sorry." Autumn mumbled. "I didn't mean to dredge up painful--"
Her breath caught when he laid his hand over hers. She thought she could actually feel herself getting lost in his blue eyes...which was something she teased her friends over every time they mentioned something like that. Yet here she was, finding herself falling for a man who changed her tire in the rain.
He gently squeezed her fingers. "Nothing to apologize for. I miss them but I am done grieving."
As their waitress brought them a fresh pot of coffee, Liam realized how true that statement was. He was done grieving for all of his lost loved ones.
******************
"Now then." Liam looked up from his menu. "Do you work in Washington?"
"I do." She replied. "Not in a political aspect though."
"What do you do?" He asked.
"I'm an archivist at the National Air and Space Museum."
His expression brightened with interest. "I've always wanted to visit the Smithsonian. To work and preserve the very fabric of your nation's history must be fascinating."
"It is!" She leaned forward as she became more animated about her work.
Deciding to prolong this conversation, the two ordered a meal before indulging in pie.
Liam listened, asking questions that only made her more excited in sharing this piece of her life.
It was rare for Autumn to find anyone interested in what she did.
"Right now, my team is working on digitizing everything we have on rocket tests during the 1950's." She explained. "Reading through the vast paperwork, various film and photographs, all audio recordings; I get to sift through every bit of it for our records."
"I once assisted an archivist at the palace library." Liam told her. "I discovered long ago manuscripts and journals in a hidden nook." His smile softened at the memory. "It was all by accident. My best friend and I were playing in one of the ballrooms when the soccer ball we were kicking around struck a piece of the baseboards, causing a hidden door to open."
Autumn's eyes widened. "It's a wonder you didn't get in trouble with the palace curators. They do not appreciate anyone playing around the exhibits."
Liam chuckled. "I was lucky the curators were fond of me."
"You knew them?" She asked. "Were they family members?"
"They aren't family, but I did know them." He replied, being deliberately mysterious about who he was.
He hadn't had a normal conversation in years. When she didn't recognize him, he felt a lightness he had felt on that long ago night in New York. He had forgotten how it was, how it made him feel. So often, people said the things they thought he wanted to hear. He missed the back and forth of sharing personal tidbits.
Autumn grimaced when she realized she had basically dominated the conversation for nearly an hour.
"Enough about my work," she smiled at him, "what do you do? Did you come here for business or to finally see the Smithsonian?"
He chuckled before taking a sip of his coffee. "As much as I would prefer spending my days wandering through museums, I am here to meet with government officials."
Her nose wrinkled. "I’m sorry. I do not envy you for that." Her eyebrow lifted. "What's the government like in Cordonia? Do you have a prime minister or something similar to our president?"
"We are a constitutional monarchy with the king as the Head of State." He explained.
"I see. Then you work in some capacity for him?" She continued. "You must to be here for meetings."
Liam lowered his eyes. "I suppose you could say that."
"So what's your job title?" She persisted. "Are you a member of the house of lords or whatever you have? Aide to the king?"
"I have a higher position than anything like that." He hedged. "Which is why I'm the only one to attend these meeting the next couple of weeks."
Her brow furrowed. "The king doesn't handle stuff like that?"
"He does which is why I'm here." He focused on her eyes. "The king is the only one to handle the approval for trade agreements and maintaining friendly relations with other countries."
"Then why isn’t he..." She burst into laughter. "You really had me going there for a moment." She shook her head at him. "Nice try, but no king travels alone on highways in a Nissan Altima."
"I do when I want to appear a regular man." He explained.
"Because isn't that royalty is all about?" She giggled some more. "Living life as a middle class man."
"I'm sincere." He argued. "I really am the King of Cordonia."
Her laughter died. "And just when I thought you weren't mentally unhinged." She sighed while picking at her piece of blueberry pie. "I knew you were too good to be true. No man can be both selfless and handsome without a few screws loose."
Liam's elation she found him attractive caught him by surprise. It wasn't that other women had not said similar to him at various functions. It was that he actually felt attracted to her too.
"I can prove I'm the king."
"How long have you believed you were king?" She asked. "Any chance you've thought you were someone else at one time? Napoleon Bonaparte? King Tut?"
He snorted on his laughter. "I've been king for over six years now. The rest of my life was spent as a prince."
"Uh huh." She poured them each another cup of coffee. "Guess that explains why you weren't banned from the palace for playing soccer."
"It is my home." He pointed out.
"Sure it is." She patted his hand. "And I'm sure you're the best king out there who knows how to change a tire."
"I only know because my best friend taught me." Liam explained. "He was one of the few people in my life who did not allow me to become a spoiled prince."
"Right." She smiled at him. "It's been great and all." She reached into her purse for her wallet. "And I do thank you so much for your help with the flat tire, but I should go."
"You don't believe me?" He asked.
"I believe you believe it." She said cautiously.
Liam quickly pulled his phone out and handed it to her. "Look up Cordonia."
"Just because you think you're a king doesn't mean you can order me around." Her eyes narrowed in warning. "Besides, I wouldn't use your phone. You'd probably have me looking at some doctored photos of yourself."
"Forgive me I didn’t mean to make it sound like a command." Liam ran a hand through his hair. "I've never met anyone who didn't believe I am who I say."
"First time for e everything, huh?" She hesitated when she saw his disappointment. "Fine." She searched for her phone. "I'll play along if you find our waitress. I'm going to need more pie as I research you."
He grinned while doing as she asked.
Autumn wandered of it was because it was the middle of the night that made her sit here with some guy claiming to be--
"No!" Her eyes darted from the images of King Liam of Cordonia to the Liam sitting at her table. "You're really a king?!"
"Would you care for another slice of blueberry or a different type of pie?" He asked with a bright smile.
"Blueberry." Her jaw was still dropped.
"Another slice of blueberry please for the lady and I'll have a slice of apple."
"Why on earth are you traveling lone highways in Maryland?" She asked when their waitress left.
"I flew in to New York for a few meetings with U.N. representatives. Our representative is new to her job and I wanted to encourage her." He explained. "Then I suppose I caught a bit of wanderlust from my brother and wanted to drive down to D.C." He took a bite of his new slice of pie. "It's rare I am able to convince my security team to let me out of their sight, but there are times when I like to be alone with my thoughts."
"I guess you have a lot of people demanding your time." She conceded.
"I do, which is why I make time for the people and activities that are important to me." He looked up at her. "Experience has taught me how fleeting time can be and we should make the most of every moment we are given."
"I like that." She cut into her slice with her fork while scrolling through images of Cordonia. "A lot of people get so easily wrapped up in their work and don't realize that they are missing out on so much more."
"Are you one of those people?"
Autumn paused chewing to consider his question. "Sometimes. I can get so wrapped up in a project and shut out the world going on around me." She shrugged. "Then something happens to shake me back to reality."
Liam grinned when it hit him that his being confirmed king had not changed the way she spoke to him.
As if reading his thoughts, her fork clattered on her plate. "I can't believe you really are a king." Her head tilted as she studied him. "You really don't act like how I imagine one would."
Liam folded his arms on the table and leaned forward. His bright blue eyes held her gray ones. "How should I act?"
She snorted. "For one thing you wouldn't have stood out in the pouring rain to change a tire."
"Aren't fairy tales filled with princes rescuing damsel in distress?" He countered.
She rolled her eyes playfully. "It isn't like you slayed a dragon."
"According to your imagination, what should I have done in that situation?" He countered, delighted with her not putting him on a pedestal.
"First off, if you were on a," she made quotation marks with her fingers, "road trip, you'd probably be in a limo since your private jet is tucked away in a hangar somewhere."
"But then I would have a driver and thus not able to be alone." He reminded her.
"True." She propped her chin on her hand and smiled. "We'll forget the car then since you are chivalrous and in need of a break." She gestured with her free hand around the diner. "A king wouldn't come her, happily order food, nor be willing to sit here for hours listening to some girl talk about museums."
"Why not?" Liam asked. "He could have been hungry since he had been lost for a while."
"I guess that's a reasonable possibility." Autumn muttered.
"And if he wanted to know more about the damsel he rescued, then shouldn't he be at least willing to remain here with her?"
"Maybe." She forced herself to look away from him. "Then again, maybe this is a night for things out to the ordinary to happen." She asked their waitress for their check.
Autumn shushed his arguments, insisting on paying for his meal.
At that moment, Bastien and some guards walked in.
Liam's eyes widened. "Bastien? How did you find me?"
"We have a tracker on your phone, your majesty." He explained. "We really need to get you to Washington. You have an early morning of..."
Liam tuned him out and focused once more on the lady he had met tonight.
"It's my fault." Autumn spoke up. "I wanted to thank Liam with some pie for his help earlier."
She stood up and held her hand out. “Thank you again for helping me.”
Liam pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Autumn."
"I..." She could feel her entire body blush with that simple touch. "I'm happy to have met you too, Liam." She grimaced. "I mean, your majesty. Should I curtsy?"
He chuckled. "Just Liam with no curtsey is fine."
"Liam no curtsey." She winked at him. "Nice name for a king." Nodding farewell toward his guards, she slipped out of the restaurant.
Liam watched her drive off from one of the windows.
He wondered if he had just met the one.

Seonghwa fluff, very mild smut.
Very mild, just making out and heavy groping that's pretty much it.

The sun shone brightly as you drove your old truck down the Hot Arizona highway, leaving Phoenix. Your new destination was Los Angeles. Having lived the nomad lifestyle ever since you got out of high school, you were always on the road jumping from city to city, working odd jobs to keep some money in your pocket and once you felt you spent enough time in one place you’d pack up your few belongings and head out to a new place. You had called phoenix your home for 6 months, staying longer than usual because the hotel job you had paid pretty well and you were able to save up a bit of money for yourself, but the dry heat finally got to you and you decided to leave, randomly picking LA for your next destination.
In 3 hours you found yourself crossing state lines, passing a sign welcoming you to the golden state. It only took another 3 hours to find your way in between the sprawling buildings of the city of angels. You had found a random gas station and decided to refill your tank and grab a snack for yourself. After getting gas and doing a little search on your phone you found a decently clean 3-star hotel to stay in, after booking and confirming your stay you decided to check-in and freshen up. The vibes of the big city were buzzing in your veins and you felt like going out and seeing the sights. After a quick shower, you threw on a cute black slip dress that flattered your curves along with some strappy sandals. Looking out your hotel window you could see the shoreline in the distance, the sun would be setting pretty soon and you’d never seen the west coast before so off you went.
It felt so freeing to you and it was one of the reasons for living the way you did. Going from place to place, the vibe of each place was different and unique and it energized your soul every time you were able to breathe in the air of a new place filled with new people and experiences. It took a bit of time to make your way to the beach because of the ungodly traffic but you made it just as the sun was setting. There were lots of people on the beach, children and families laughing and playing. Feeling self-conscious,you decided to wait and people-watch from one of the many restaurants that lined the beach and boardwalk. You ducked into this goofy themed crab restaurant and you found a seat at the window so you could watch the sunset over the water.
You sat and just got lost in your thoughts, thinking of home and how long it's been since you spent any quality time with your friends and family let alone someone of the opposite gender. Your lifestyle was lonely and you knew that before you even had left, spending 2- 4 months in each city didn’t really allow for serious relationships, and yeah, you had a couple of hook-ups but those were few and far in between. Overall you were about as unserviced as your truck which was bad in both aspects but you loved the adventure your lifestyle brought and it was easier that way.
During your inner monologue, you didn’t hear someone come up and start talking nor did you hear the second or third time he tried to get your attention so it was after the light touch to your shoulder that had you jumping out of your skin. That you realized a waiter had come to your lone table.
“Sorry didn’t mean to scare you, were you wanting to order something?” you looked up to the waiter. The first thing you noticed was the goofy looking bright red cartoon crab that was plastered on his snapback hat. Your eyes traveled down and then you really saw him,
‘Holy shit he’s hot.’ you thought to yourself, he had a jawline that could cut diamond and plump lips and gorgeous soft brown eyes, you could also see dark brown hair peeking out under his cap. To cover up your awkward silence and blatant staring you coughed and nodded like a dummy,
“I- um yeah i'll take water for now and-” you quickly glanced at the front of the menu and pointed at a picture of something that looked like fried chicken pieces with fries. “ and that…” you prayed he was just some random worker who didn’t care or notice your awkwardness.
The most gorgeous smile slowly formed on his face followed by a deep chuckle, you couldn’t help the deep embarrassment you felt as he laughed at you. He cleared his throat,
“Alright sounds good, so that will be one order of the fried shrimp and chips and water, got it.” He started to scribble in his little notepad and he reached down to grab your menu but you kept your hand on it
“No- um…..actually not that-” again your embarrassment had your face inflamed. “I’m allergic to seafood,” you said in a quiet voice, there was a moment of complete silence between the two of you until he busted out laughing, it was a hearty, real laugh, a part of your brain noticed how beautiful his laugh was but the bigger part of your brain was in error mode. All you could do was put your head down as he laughed at your obvious incompetence. Suddenly he reached down and gently touched your hand with his as his laughter died down. He shook his head,
“I’m sorry I’m not laughing AT you, it's just funny, you're allergic to seafood yet the first restaurant you picked has a giant crab on the front.” another round of giggles left him as he leaned on the table. You couldn’t help but laugh too at the stupid situation you put yourself in.
“ I know, I wasn’t really thinking, I just wanted to find a place to watch the sunset.” you gestured to the large window that framed your table, he looked from the shoreline to you, he felt something fluttering in his chest, he obviously noticed how pretty you were and the dress you had on hugged you in all the right places. He smirked then cleared his throat, getting your attention from the seaside view.
“I’m Seonghwa by the way.” he reached his hand out and you took it shyly, his hand was big but soft and his fingers were long and elegant looking adorned with silver rings.
“I’m (Y/N)” you said with a smile. He smiled back.
“Let me make you a deal, You hang here, and I'll go find you something you can actually eat without dying. Deal?” He winked and you could feel your arms losing circulation. All you could do was nod and he flashed a brilliant smile.
“Ok, hang tight (Y/N)” he turned and made his way to the back of the restaurant. You took a deep breath to steady your heart, you decided then and there that night you might act up and see where the night leads you and Seonghwa. Hopefully, it was your hotel room. After about 4 minutes an older waitress came over and put a fancy looking orange and pink cocktail in front of you,
“Oh, I’m sorry, I ordered water” in the same moment the sentence left your mouth she also put a crisp glass of water down in front of you, then she leaned down closer to you
“It’s from pretty boy back there” You both turned to the restaurant bar where Seonghwa stood behind it, waving in your direction. The waitress waggled her eyebrows at you then sauntered off with a cheeky grin.
You looked down to the bright drink and after a small sniff, you noticed it smelled really sweet and fruity, so it must not be that bad. You took a small sip and the tropical citrus flavor danced on your tongue, it didn’t even taste like alcohol. It was dangerous. Alone again you let your mind wander as you watched each family pack up and start leaving the beach, as it got darker the beach became more and more sparse. 30 minutes had passed and after people-watching you hadn’t realized you’d finished your cocktail and it was the smell of food that brought you out of your trance. You turned to find Seonghwa setting a large plate of Chicken strips and fries down in front of you. You were warm from the alcohol and starving.
“Whoa” was all you said as you looked up at him. You noticed he was dressed differently, his goofy hat and apron were gone and now covering his black work polo was a jean jacket and his hair had been slicked back. Hot damn he looked delicious. He smiled down at you then took a seat opposite of you.
“ Yeah ‘whoa’ is right, for a seafood restaurant their chicken strips are amazing, but I did have to fight the chef to make enough for two adults because these usually come in kids meals.” he rambled as he took a chicken strip off the plate and started eating. You just stared blankly at him, confused as to what was happening, He just looked back at you expecting an answer.
“Um… what’s happening here?” you asked and he chuckled again
“ My shift just ended and you told me you’d stay here while I find food for you, this was the deal” he explained taking another bite.
“But I only had to wait UNTIL you got me food, by law I can leave and take these to go” you pulled the plate closer to you, teasing him. He scoffed then quickly reached over and grabbed another tender before you could pull the plate farther away from him.
“Hey!” you laughed shielding your food. He laughed with you.
“ Actually I wanted you to stay so I could hear your story” he explained sincerely.
“What makes you think I have a story?” you asked, taking a bite of chicken, holy shit the chicken was heavenly. He shrugged,
“Tourists always come to the beach first and usually they wander in here cause we’re right by the entrance to the beach.”
“What makes you think that’s what I did?” he piqued your curiosity
“Because, that’s what I did when I first got here, and that’s how I got this job.” He grabbed a couple of fries, popping them in his mouth. “although I walked in here because I actually like seafood” he teased you laughing as he got another tender from your shared plate. You laughed with him shaking your head.
“Shut up, it was an honest mistake, what restaurant has ONLY seafood except for on the kid’s menu, I’m going to complain to the manager” You joked and he snorted.
“Wouldn't be the first time. Anyways so, where are you from and what brings you to this godforsaken city” he said the last part a little bitterly. You were taken aback by his words,
“What do you mean so far this city has been beautiful. Lots of people, but beautiful.” He chewed silently pondering your words. After he swallowed his bite he sighed
“I thought the same thing before I got jumped one night on my way home from work. Took my wallet and cell but not before I got a blade in my ribs.” He explained darkly, not meeting your eyes. You sat speechlessly, what do you say to that?
“No I-I get it...before I came here I was in Phoenix Arizona, some co-workers and I went out one night, I got separated from them and a man snuck up on me, held a gun to my head and made me hand over my bag. Thank god my car keys had been in my pocket, but I remember feeling so helpless and scared.” You told him, taking a sip of water, feeling the buzz of the alcohol leaving you. Both of you were silent, Seonghwa was mentally kicking himself for bringing the mood down, he hadn’t meant too but he had hoped his story could be one of caution to you but all he did was make you relive a bad memory. He sighed and signaled for one of the waitresses to come over. He ordered another cocktail and she was back with it in a couple minutes. He took the glass and slid it over to you,
“Sorry, I killed the mood I wasn’t trying to get you down.” you smiled at him, grateful for the offer but you had to decline, you still had to drive yourself back to your hotel room.
“I’ll drive you,” he offered immediately. You raised an eyebrow and he laughed
“I won’t try anything. I have to work an early shift anyways so I can’t have too much fun, I'll just catch a bus from your place once you're safe inside.”
You felt your heart warm, he was really sweet. You somehow had the luck to run into him on your first day there, you decided if he couldn’t have too much fun, then a little bit of fun would go a long way. You leaned down and took a big sip of the cocktail, but made a face as the burning taste of vodka overpowered the sugar and fruity taste,
“Oooh this one is strong” you voice came out hoarse as you choked and he laughed
“Yeah I’m the only one who can make this drink the right way, it’s kind of my specialty” he examined the glass absently
“What’s the drink called? I’ve never had it before,” you asked taking another small sip,
He looked up and met your eyes, there was something dark in his soft brown eyes, a kind of mischief that made your stomach flip
“Sex on the beach,” he said softly in his deep voice, keeping direct eye contact with you. You breathed out slowly and without breaking the eye contact you responded
“your specialty is sex on the beach?” you asked, your voice small. He smirked, finally breaking eye contact as he reached down his fingers tracing the lines on the top of your hands.
“Something like that.”
Suddenly you didn't care about seeing the beach, You took another big drink of your liquid courage, managing to not make a gross face this time and you looked at him,
“How about instead of escorting me home, maybe you can take me into the city? Cruise around, show me the city lights and nightlife, you don’t have to go home right this instant?” you asked leaning forward giving him puppy dog eyes hoping he’d accept.
He laughed at your eagerness, after a quick check of his phone he accepted and you smiled feeling victorious.
Quickly getting up and packaging your food to go you went to pay for the food but he just grabbed your arm and led you out the door.
“Wait, this is stealing,” you said bluntly feeling buzzed.
“I’m an assistant manager, it’s on me.” He responded cooly
“Oh excuse me I didn’t know I was hanging with a High Roller” you teased. He laughed as you guys came to the parking lot of the beach, there weren’t many cars and your old red Dodge Dakota truck stood out lonely in a far corner. You beckoned for him to follow as you stumbled over to your trusty vehicle. Once you got to the truck you tossed him the keys,
“This is not the car I expected you to have” he laughed unlocking the door.
“Yup i've had this old girl for years, i  saw her in a used car lot and had to have her.” you climbed in the passenger seat and tossed the bag of food in the back seat.
One you both were in and buckled up he laughed
“So you're just a young pretty girl that drives an old beat up truck that's probably older than you?” he  laughed again turning to you
“I know it's weird right…” you turned to him trying to look intimidating
“You know this could all be a ruse, I could be luring you to the back alleys of the city to kill you and keep your head in my fridge.
After a beat you realized how weird that really sounded and you silently cursed the alcohol for making you so loose lipped.
Luckily Seonghwa wasn't fazed as he burst out laughing then turned to you and cocked his eyebrow
“Is that a threat or a promise??” he giggled and started the truck, you thanked the heavens he was so easygoing.
“Wanna know the main reason I wanted this truck?” you asked him, reaching across him to a switch near the drivers door, noting how good he smelled while you did it, and flipped a small switch. There was a groaning and whining noise then the whole top of your truck moved and folded back on itself and after a moment you were both sitting with the salty sea air around you.
“ WHAT? This is so COOL!” he exclaimed looking like a kid with a new toy “I didn't know that convertible trucks existed!!” he was laughing in excitement and you laughed with him.
“Lets fuckin go then!” he yelled and revved the engine and soon you guys were on the road headed for downtown L.A.
Tumblr media
In no time you both were cruising with the top down, enjoying the nightlife, the city was so big and there were so many people out shopping, and eating and there were a lot of people performing and busking on the sides of the roads. It was all so magical and you felt so exhilarated, In all honesty there wasn't anything about L.A that you had not seen in other big cities, but this city had one thing the others didn't, and that was Seonghwa. Having someone with you to experience things with, made a world of a difference. Every so often when you'd get excited and would point and laugh and sit with amazement he would always look at you with the softest eyes and he looked upon you with this kind of adoration that you had never seen someone look at you with. He would tell you stories of his first experiences with the various locations you guys passed by and he had you laughing and every so often he would rest his hand on your thigh absentmindedly, not in a creepy way, but in a way that felt familiar, like he'd done it a thousand times. His hand was a comfortable warmth on your cool skin and it felt right being there with him, everything about him was perfect.
After a bit of driving he started to head to where he lived, you had offered to drop him off as the night had grown long and he had gotten a few phone calls from his roommates asking when he'd be home so unfortunately he had to head home and you were sobered up enough to drive finally. He pulled into the driveway and parked, not before putting the top back up. There was a silence in the car, neither of you wanted to end the night, but Seonghwa had responsibilities and he had to sleep because he had to open up at work the next day.
After a bit of silence he reached over again and gently put his hand on your knee, you placed your smaller hand on his,
“Well, (Y/N) i'm glad you stumbled into my restaurant today, this is the most fun i've had with another person in a long time.” he smiled at you, eyes running over your body as his thumb drew circles on your knee. You had heard what he said, and you wanted to respond with something sweet and wholesome but all you could focus on was his lips and his hand on your skin. With the hand that was placed on his you grabbed his wrist and slowly pulled his hand up higher on your thigh pushing back the fabric of your dress until he was a inch away from your center. You felt him tense up and your breathing got heavy as you watched him and waited for him to do something,
“(Y/N)...” he breathed out, voice deep and filled with lust as he stared at the spot his hand was in and were it was going, he gave your thigh a test squeeze,
“Seonghwa..” you didn't mean for your voice to come out as a small moan but the anticipation and sexual tension was becoming too much for you. Suddenly Seonghwa leaned down and pressed his lips against yours, you immediately opened your mouth to deepen the kiss further, frantically unbuckling your seat belt so you could climb over onto his lap. Without breaking the kiss you settled onto his lap and his hands were all over you. Your brain was a deep fog, there was nothing you could think other than the feeling of his soft lips on yours and the feeling of his big hands as he squeezed your ass. You slipped your hands under his shirt wanting to feel more of him, he broke the kiss only to swiftly remove his jacket and polo shirt. You took a moment to marvel at his body, he was leaned and chiseled, not too much muscle but there were abs and broad shoulders, this man was like a drug, everything he did and everything about him was so intoxicating. You ran your hands up and down his chest and down his back as he pulled you closer, you  noticed a hardnessed pressed against your lower parts and you smiled in the kiss, feeling how hard he got and all you guys were doing was kissing. Ever so slowly you pressed your hips down harder onto his crotch and started grinding, he broke the kiss as his head fell back and a groan escaped his lips,
“Oh my god (Y/N) fuck..” you took that as a sigh to grind your hips harder onto his erection, causing more intense friction on your clit, both of you held each other, a moaning and whining mess. You absently thought about how hot and bothered you were getting with your clothes on, you couldn't wait to get them off. You went to kiss him again, tongue exploring as he grasped your hips harshly, trying to slow your movements because your makeout session was getting really intense really fast.
You were about to pull back and ask if they should go back to your hotel room for more privacy when there was a loud rapping at the driver side window, you let out a surprised squeak as you moved to cover any exposed parts. Both you and Seonghwa turned and standing on the other side of the window was a tall man, he looked young like you guys and he had peach colored messy hair and various stains on his oversized sweater.
“Yuhno What the Fuck???” Seonghwa said incredulously, The man named Yuhno gestured for him to roll the window down, after the glass was no longer between them Seonghwa snapped at the taller man
“ Yuhno I said I'd be home soon, I was kind of in the middle of something.” he lectured, angrily pulling his shirt back on.
“Yeah I can see that, and as much as hate to cockblock you and this lovely lady-” he looked over at you and waved cutely, all you could do was laugh and wave back embarrassed. “But Wooyoung and Mingi duct taped Hongjoong to the wall and they won't let me get him down, San wont stop crying because he was trying to do a trick off the counter and dropped half our plates. I tried to get Jongho and Yeosang to help but they went into their rooms and refused to come out.” Yuhno explained in the most calm way possible. Seonghwa just silently sat for a moment and sighed,
“The one day you all have a day off while I have to work late and of course there is pure chaos, just- go get Hongjoong down and I'll be inside in a second.” Yuhno just nodded and after waving at you again he hurried back to the shared house. Seonghwa just sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly,
“ Are these your roommates or do you have kids I don't know about?” Seonghwa let out a genuine laugh then he looked tiredly at you,
“Im sorry, my roommates are a bit…. Eccentric.” he said the last word slowly. You giggled, then leaned over and gave him a small peck on his lips. He pressed his forehead to yours and sat for a moment, basking in your scent. Then with another defeated sigh he climbed out and you slid into the driver seat behind him. He closed your door and leaned in the open window pressing another quick kiss to your lips, the longing in his eyes almost made you want to cry as it mirrored your own longing. He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to you and you realized it was your phone,
“Don't be mad but I put my number in your phone” he chuckled
“When did you get my phone?!” you asked genuinely surprised he just chuckled and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
“I have my ways, I just want to make sure I’ll get to see you again.” he said the last part as a question
“Of course” you said softly cupping his cheek to emphasize your adoration. He didn't make any move to leave your side until there was a loud crashing and incoherent yelling from the inside of the house.
“I gotta go,” he shot you an apologetic smile and turned and jogged up to the front door. As he pulled open the door you could hear high pitched laughter and other sounds of ruckus happening in the house.
“Wooyoung!” he barked as he slammed the door behind him followed by a high pitched scream you could hear from inside your truck.
You looked down at the new contact in your phone under the name Seonghwa and smiled. The whole drive home you had butterflies as you thought about your day and the amazing man you spent part of it with. You'd never experienced anything like this before all the other times you were with a guy it was a hookup and you never really saw the men again, but you knew without a doubt you wanted to see Seonghwa over and over again.
“Coming to L.A. was a good choice after all” you said to yourself as you made your way back to your hotel “ I think that I might stay”

Hold On
Trigger warnings: Attempted Suicide, Substance Abuse, Mental Health
Song: "Hold On" by Chord Overstreet
youtube
Yugi was driving faster than usual down the busy streets of Domino city. The familar roads all a blur right now. His mind a buzz as his focus was on the road infront of him. Frantic, praying. The phone next to him the only passenger, still on the text message open to Atem's somber farewell text. A few days ago they had a fight. One of those petty fights that he doesn't remember why they ever fought in the first place.
"Loving and fighting, accusing, denying"
Fighting tears that threatened to blur his vision on the road, he shouldn't have left Atem alone. He knew he should have listened to his gut not to trust Atem's 'oh-so-convincing' smile and lie that 'he was fine' after they made up, but still felt the need that they needed some time a part for a few days to clear the air. A few days he totally miss counted while he stayed with Joey halfway across the city. He knew what today was. How can he be so stupid to forget?!
"I can't imagine a world with you gone. The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of I'd be so lost if you left me alone"
Yugi cursed at himself as tears ran down his cheeks, gritting his teeth as memories of their laughter played in his mind, all the times their's and their friend's life were in danger and in chaos, the time he lost his soul to the orichalcos. Showed each other their demons by that cursed green stone and that horrible card. Today was THAT day that happened years ago in America. Of all days to be gone, today was NOT suppose to be one of those days! He finally saw their apartment complex, parked where he could and ran to his apartment. He grabed the emergency key under the carpet having forgotten his key the day he left after their fight, and open the door and didn't bother to close it again. Running all over their apartment searching for his boyfriend. "ATEM!! PLEASE ANSWER ME!! WHERE ARE YOU?!" He ran to the last place he can think of.
"You locked yourself in the bathroom"
He knew it, he pushed on the door and banged on it repeatedly. "ATEM PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!! ATEM!!" Hearing no response, he kicked and banged the door harder.
"Lying on the floor when I break through"
Yugi felt like he couldn't breath. As if someone stabbed him in the heart and he was gasping for life. What he saw in front of him, he will never unsee. There on the floor was Atem, a bottle of pain killers next to his hand and a few pills still laying around scattered. "ATEM!!!" He yelled, running and fell by his boyfriend's side.
"I pull you in to feel your heartbeat"
As soon as he felt the faint heart beat, he knew he wasn't comeplelty gone as he thought, a slight relief, but he wasn't in the clear yet.
"Can you hear me screaming,"
"Please don't leave me! Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you. Let me take your hand, I'll make it right. I swear to love you all my life. Hold on, I still need you." Yugi cried into Atem's ear as he held him close, tears falling onto his face as he held onto Atem's limp hand, before laying it on Atem's abdomen and carried his boyfriend to his car.
"Long endless highway, you're silent beside me"
Yugi was racing down the roads, signs and lights blurred as he headed straight for Domino Hospital, taking quick looks to his passenger side at his partner slumped on the door.
"Driving a nightmare I can't escape from Helplessly praying, the light isn't fading"
He wished it wasn't taking this long to see the hospital in view, he could see the paleness showing on his lover's once rich tan skin. Tears falling down his face at the sight, he really hoped it wasn't coming down to that. He really didn't want to lose him this way. Oh please someone end this nightmare! As if on que the Domino Hosptial sign was straight ahead and he rushed to the ER side honking his horn to catch the nurses' attention.
"Hiding the shock and the chill in my bones"
Hands were still shaking, but he tried his best to keep his composure as his car was swarmed by doctors and nurses, checking his lover. Only mouthing to them 'OD' cus words failed to come out at the time.
"They took you away on a table"
Yugi watched as they rolled Atem to a room, IVs getting started.
"I pace back and forth as you lay still"
He was too worried and he watched as the doctors worked, the heartmonitor showing a very weak pulse, and then slowly coming to a flatline.
"They pull you in to feel your heartbeat"
Doctors now scrambled for the defibulators as they tried their best to revive his lover, he couldn't take what he was seeing playing out in front of him.
"Can you hear me screaming,"
"PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!"
He rushed into the room of doctors, ignoring their commands to get back and trying to pry him off his lover.
"Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you." He chocked out, tears falling on his lover's chest, he fought the nurses trying to take him away.
"Let me take your hand, I'll make it right"
Yugi grabed Atem's hand and squeezed it tightly wishing that alone would wake up his lover from this death sleep.
"I swear to love you all my life. Hold on, I still need you."
They finally pried him off his grip of his lover and ushered him out of the room kicking and screaming for Atem, the last of his view of him before the door closed was the doctors setting up for another shock. He was all alone in the waiting room. Lost within his thoughts.
A few hours later...
"I don't wanna let go, I know I'm not that strong." Yugi said softly, Atem was in the ICU now. Heart monitor beeping a soft rythem, monitoring his vitals. Yugi sitting by his side holding onto his hand as he continued to whisper to his lover. Hoping somehow he would hear him.
"I just wanna hear you saying, "baby, let's go home"." Tears fell as Yugi gripped tighter on his partner's hand as he kept speaking.
"Let's go home. Yeah, I just wanna take you home. Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you." Was all Yugi can say, the silent prayer hoping to be answered, before leaning his head down. He kisses his partner's hand before he rested his forehead on his and Atem's joined hands on the bed. Suicide doesn't end the pain, it just gives it to someone else.
End
~~~~~~~~~
Sorry y'all, the lyrics to the song just spoke to me in ways that tore my heart out, but it helped me with my own situation going on in my life right now. It opened up my eyes to something I was blind to. So it caused me to write this very emotional story. Sorry for the angst and tears.
TW: anxiety/panic attacks/suicide
Yesterday was not good.
You know those made up conversations you have in your head that you use as a guideline to prepare you for the real thing? I got lost in one while trying to fall asleep last night. Trying to converse with my father and falling apart. Trying to tell him why I'm so messed up, even though he should clearly know.
And despite all the bullshit, I love the old man. He's an asshole who doesn't listen to me a majority of the time, but I know he cares in his own weird way. So that pretend conversation that turned into a one-sided argument had me in a pretend breakdown. And then that breakdown spilled over into real life. I started remembering that the last time I saw my mother alive we'd argued. She was dead within 12 hours. What if I finally try to speak to my father and he dies afterwards? Would it be my fault?
Full blown panic attack in seconds. I'm sobbing, rocking back and forth, reaching for my phone to see if anyone's online and awake to talk to (because I wanted to let boyfriend sleep). No one's awake that would care to listen or understand what I'm talking about. Check playstation app to see if anyone's awake there. Strangely enough, not a soul. Try to calm myself. Fail.
Suddenly, warm soft fur presses against my leg and I dry my eyes and look down as Mose cries out, "Mrow?"
He gently paws me and I scoop him up, hold him close, focus on the warmth of his body and the gentle vibration of purrs. I feel him licking at tears on my cheek and my heart stops racing. It may have only been a couple of minutes we sat that way but I eventually put him down, turn on the heating pad for him, and try to go back to sleep.
Boyfriend gets up early (three hours later) to go renew car tags. Says Mose didn't even run to hang out with him - stayed glued to my side, but watched him with interest. I wake up as he's getting dressed, feeling exhausted, explain to him about the shitty night and he stops what he's doing to sit with me.
I start being a sobby mess. Words come crashing and tumbling like fine china and shattering. I'm wrapped in his arms and I'm babbling. Probably nonsense. I don't even remember what I said. I think I calm down. Boyfriend says it's okay - that I'm not required to hold anything back. So I fall apart again. I didn't realize how long we just curled up on the floor together with just hugs and kisses through my tears, but eventually I calm enough to see it's been 2 hours. I start apologizing and he shrugs, "They're still open. I'll just have to wait longer. Who cares?"
I tell him I'm gonna try to sleep. He tucks me in and heads out. Mose curls up closer to me and I manage to pass out.
Somewhere around 5pm I wake up. Check my phone. See boyfriend has stopped at his father's house to shoot at targets for a while just to relax. I tell him that I love him and to be safe.
My father wakes an hour later to get ready for work. As soon as I see him my brain loses its grip on sanity - I feel my chest tighten and I'm back at the start of a panic attack to a pretend conversation I no longer plan to have at all.
I run to the kitchen while he heads for the shower - oblivious - and try to calm myself. Boyfriend sees I'm awake and sends me a video of him loading one of the bb guns - to share a silly MGS joke with me.
Brain freaks out. Remembering he struggles just as hard as I do with depression and suicidal urges. I literally know it's not a real gun - I've held it - but my heart starts pounding like a trapped prisoner and I crumple on the floor fighting my mind as it insists he's disappearing. I'm losing him. He's going to kill himself. I manage to finally play the video - see he's fine. Try to send him several voice messages and start having another panic attack. I'm sobbing and shaking and finally he just replies, "I'm coming home. Don't drive anywhere. Just get ready and I'll take you out for a bit."
And he gets here in a couple hours and he's tired, but he's sweet. We go out and eat. Take turns picking music - mine are shades of blue and soft while his are shades of orange and lively. He doesn't comment on it or chastise me for varying song choice - he just allows it. He snuggles me at home until he falls asleep.
Now the thoughts are racing and it's nearly 2:30am. In exhausted. Want to sleep. Every time I rest my head, my heart wants to race and my thoughts follow swiftly after. Made cookies. Hoped the warmth would comfort me. Burned them slightly but ate them anyway.
My kitty is curled up next to me. My man snoring on my other side. Yet the brief gaps between both have such a thick blanket of darkness. I'm just a mess.
I'm not sure if this helps me. To type it all out. I guess it'll be good to reference later if I'm ever on the other side. Like 'look how far you've come' and all that.
I just want outta here. My sanity is so shot.
I just want out.
